01/03/2026: A quaint restaurant in the center of Verona where we truly enjoyed ourselves!!! The risotto with Amarone and truffle was excellent, creamy, with perfectly balanced flavors. The horse steak melted in your mouth with a delicious truffle sauce!!! All washed down with a fabulous glass of Amarone. We were amazed! 10 out of 10

14/10/2025: Stayed here for a week. Perfect location and loved Malcesine. Staff from reception to restaurant all very friendly and helpful. The rooms as others mentioned are basic which was fine for us. Our room felt a bit cramped and shower cubicle was tiny. Rooms are super clean 👍, though some TLC is needed with decor and furniture. Great view from the balcony, spoilt by having noisy Aircon unit and pipes sat on the floor next to the table and some issue with a leaking pipe that seemed to have a towel wrapped around it. Ate in the restaurant twice, food was ok but nothing amazing, lack of atmosphere in the back room where we got put twice despite reserving a table in the front part. Preferred more interesting eats out in Malcesine. Breakfasts really good and lots of choice.

Even on our first visit to the terrace, where we relaxed with drinks, you can feel the exceptionally warm and personal atmosphere. The owner personally attends to her guests with great care and attention, supported in the service by her daughter, while her husband works behind the bar. This family dynamic is something truly special: The owner's personality – her warmth, professionalism, and genuine passion for hospitality – is palpable throughout the entire service. This is exactly what hospitality feels like, as you know it from old Italy, or simply as it should be: warm, attentive, and utterly professional. Another major highlight is the ambiance: The restaurant is situated on a hill and offers a breathtaking view over all of Verona. Especially in the evening, a magical atmosphere unfolds – the city lights, the view over the rooftops, and the tranquility on the terrace are simply beautiful. The sunsets are spectacular and make every visit a special experience. For tourists, this view is an absolute must-see. The highlight for us was definitely the New Year's Eve dinner we were fortunate enough to enjoy there. The food was outstanding, prepared with great attention to detail, and the flavors were top-notch and perfectly balanced. The service was attentive, warm, and present without ever being intrusive. The combination of excellent cuisine, breathtaking views, stylish ambiance, and this exceptionally personal service makes Retheodorico a truly special experience! 07/01/2026: We visited this wonderful restaurant on the evening of December 31st. It's a charming place with a breathtaking view of the city. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable; the staff was professional and friendly. Ms. Giuliana's hospitality was truly commendable (we had a guest with allergies, and she went out of her way to ensure his menu was complete and delicious). We were served by Rachele, a delightful, friendly, and super professional woman. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

05/11/2025: I went for lunch today with my brother on the recommendation of a friend, and I have to say it was excellent in every way, from the welcome to the staff to the food. As soon as I'm back in the area, I'll definitely come back to eat here because it's truly worth it!

14/01/2026: During our summer vacation, we ate there at least three times. The first two times were fine, but the third time was our very last evening in Italy. We wanted to enjoy a relaxing evening with drinks and dessert, and they took our order. While the drinks were being prepared, the waiters gave us strange looks, and one of them then informed us that this wasn't a bar and that we should order a proper meal. Completely taken aback, we sat there and were forced to stay and order something else, since the drinks had already been made. Couldn't they have mentioned that beforehand? It's clear that they don't care about their customers; they're more interested in making as much money as possible from tourists. We found their attitude unacceptable.

12/10/2025: We're served bottled tap water, treated with the Culligan system, at the "modest" price of €3.20! The bottle is clearly dirty inside. We ask for sealed bottled water and are told they only have that type of water. This alone would deserve a lower rating. The veranda overlooking the lake has a central iron band that effectively blocks the view. The male staff isn't friendly, and a few more smiles wouldn't hurt. The pizza (Neapolitan style) is good, and the food, overall, is good (which is what matters!).

24/02/2026: We had dinner on Sunday evening, eating an excellent risotto with Amarone and drinking two glasses of excellent wine (an Amarone and a Lugana). Quick and friendly service. Two glasses, two risottos, a salad, and a tiramisu for €97.

14/02/2026: Very long wait time. Lack of organization. Tables that arrived later were served first… Good food, but not worth the 2-hour wait.

03/11/2025: I've been going to Antica Arillica at least once a year since I was a child: first with my parents, now with my boyfriend. It's a place I hold dear to my heart. The hostess is always kind and helpful, and the food is excellent, as always. My evenings at Antica Arillica have always been a way to celebrate the people I love and enjoy excellent food in a welcoming atmosphere.

09/09/2025: The best restaurant in the world!! My partner and I have been going to this restaurant for 3 years. If you like good food and a truly indulgent experience, come here! There are no restaurants this good on Lake Garda, especially with their quality, cleanliness, and attention to every detail! 😍
