Excellent seafood restaurant in the heart of Verona.
Very easy to get to thanks to the Cittadella parking lot.
The restaurant is very beautiful and well-kept, and you can feel the Perbellini philosophy.
The wait staff is attentive and helpful.
The chef/owner is attentive and present at the tables.
All the dishes are excellent,
quality ingredients and high-quality preparation.
In my opinion, excellent value for money.
Well done!
Highly recommended.

Fresh ingredients and a seasonally adjusted menu. The dishes not only look beautiful, but they also taste great. We'll definitely be back.

This is an excellent restaurant, maintaining a traditional fine dining ambience. I have been here 3 or 4 times and had delicious food every time. First time visitors should be prepared to spend some money; the restaurant requests that each diner order two "piatti salati," literally 'salty plates' in English but what it means is two of anything from the non-dessert part of the menu. it could be 2 antipasti, an antipasto and a primo, a primo and a second course, whatever. On this last visit, they also had a "pranzo menu," (lunch menu) with an antipasto, a primo (pasta dish) and a dessert for 50 euros, a definite bargain compared to the a la carte menu. We chose today's menu, starting with fried prawns wrapped in super-thin pasta with wasabi mayonnaise for dipping (I should have asked for extra wasabi), on a bed of house-made potato chips. The dish was very rich, and served piping hot. I was actually kind of full after finishing it. The primo was a cool-looking pasta called "creste di gallo" (coxcombs) in a sauce based on "battuto di molluschi" (chopped mollusks). Scrumptious, and even though I was full, I ate the whole abundant portion. Dessert was tiramisu', served in a tall custard dish. The custard was fluffy but intense, nicely complemented by the layer of cocoa dust coating the top. The coffee-soaked sponge crust at the bottom was the bonus for whoever could make it down there through the custard.
Wine list is extensive. I don't think I've ever made it past the first section of whites, which are from the Venetos. Tons of big-name boutique Soave producers. Given restaurant markups New Yorkers will be accustomed to, these bottles are in line. If you want a bottle, you can get something for as little as 30 euros, and if your money is burning a hole in your pocket, there is a bunch of attractive stuff between 50 and 100.
Service is genteel and prompt. I only get to Verona once a year any more (in a good year!), but look forward to coming back next time I do.

Excellent experience. Fresh food, the aroma of the sea in every dish. A tasty yet light dinner. The place is clean and very welcoming. The service was very pleasant, starting with the chef, who was friendly and helpful.
The young staff were also excellent, but very knowledgeable.

As always, a confirmation!
We discovered Al Capitan last year, and since we're back in Verona, we can't help but treat ourselves to a truly wonderful dinner curated by Chef Andrea. He and his entire team (young and passionate) know how to welcome guests with kindness and friendliness, immediately creating a great feeling, and then the dishes complete the experience!
Bravo!!
