05/11/2025: Located in the heart of the Fort, this restaurant offers quick, simply prepared seafood dishes. Service is average but unprofessional. On a negative note, they don't serve coffee after the meal.

26/10/2025: It’s okay, but nothing special. The pizza was fine, the dessert so-so, and they didn’t even have coffee – unbelievable for an Italian place. I spent over €40 just for a pizza, a small beer, an Amaro Averna, and a small dessert.

13/09/2025: Wonderful little place! On our way back from a trip to the area, we decided to extend our stay and stop here for dinner. It was a delightful experience with very hospitable service. They had fresh porcini mushrooms picked that day and brought us a truly generous tagliatelle, which we devoured! It's a shame the tray wasn't edible, otherwise we would have eaten that too. 27/09/2025: If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would! We visited Trattoria Da Vasco on Monday 22 Sept 25, for dinner, based on a recommendation. Whilst my spaghetti carbonara was OK (not great), the spinach and ricotta ravioli my partner ordered was inedible. It arrived floating in a bowl of what appeared to be pasta water, with no sauce and tasted horrible. We sent it back and asked very nicely if we could please order something else as my partner had only had a mouthful. He tried the spaghetti Bolognese but again, it was terrible. The pasta had not been drained properly and again there was water at the bottom of the bowel. The sauce was barely discernible and the most prominent taste was dish washing liquid. Again, my partner could not eat this and had barely a mouthful. Now very hungry we decided to pay for what we could eat and drink. I went inside to explain this and pay. The manager /owner immediately started shouting at me aggressively in Italian, which unfortunately I do not speak. He was extremely intimidating and stood very close to me. He would not let the waitress translate for me, even though her English was good enough. He immediately threatened to call the police and would not stop shouting for one moment. I ended up in tears in the restaurant. At this point my partner who was sitting outside heard the noise and stepped in to protect me, just in time for the police to arrive. The police had to physically hold the manager back, still shouting at us both. I paid the bill (and entirely unwarranted €44!) just to get out of there. It was an awful meal and a worse experience. I suggest avoiding this 'restaurant' at all costs. The police were lovely and listened patiently to what happened. Of course they agreed with us as customers and had a stern talking to the manager/owner. I have travelled extensively, and been to Italy many times, and have never been treated so badly.

26/09/2025: A family-run trattoria, when you enter Vasco, you feel like part of the family. Typical Lucca dishes, truly well-made and generous portions. This is our second time here, and we'll continue to do so. I highly recommend this place.

15/11/2025: I ordered a Spritz and was asked if it had Aperol. I drank it... there was absolutely no Aperol. When paying, I asked if there was actually Aperol. They replied "yes," without further ado. Behind the bar, there wasn't even a bottle of Aperol, just "Aperitivo Margherita." I'm not saying it's not okay to use other products, but at least be honest with the customers who pay you!! If you don't have Aperol, don't offer it when ordering!

09/11/2025: Beautiful place. I especially appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, even though the place was really busy. A very relaxing breakfast on a sunny day, and very good pastries. Recommended.

14/08/2025: I've had my tent there for years. The area is very quiet, and the restaurant is the best in Versilia. The sea in that area is practically always spectacular, and the service is always warm and friendly.

12/08/2025: The beach is so clean and beautiful, simply amazing. The food is great value for money and incredibly delicious. But there are two things I have to criticize: tourists aren't particularly welcome here. At first, they didn't even want to give us an umbrella, let alone a tent. Apparently, they were all sold out, even though most of them were empty that day. The service is relatively friendly, though, and they tried very hard to speak English. We were a bit more welcome at the Alhambra; they were also happy that we were there; it had a more intimate feel, which I missed here. Otherwise, everything was great.

01/11/2025: A very unique place, truly Zanzibar-style. Excellent food; we ordered the fried and grilled fish, both exceptional. The owners, under new management since March 2025, are extremely kind, even to our dogs. We'll definitely be back! 🤩 Open all year round, except for the next three weeks due to renovations. One of the few in Versilia.

05/10/2025: A unique venue in Versilia for: location (seafront, spacious, various rooms, beach club, and restaurant + aperitif/aperitif dinner, and late-night dining with illuminated areas where they serve your table. Ambience: Target audience: All ages, but always a suitable clientele. Service: The restaurant manager and the other staff make you want to return. Impeccable, attentive service, with passion and dedication. Product: Top-notch, quality. Exotic-themed cocktails like caipiroska, mojito, daqiri, and caipirinha reign supreme. In addition to their specialty drinks, the fruit and aperitif dinner are delicious, with platters and focaccia, as well as a few small, valid options like hummus or burrata. Overall, the best venue in Versilia. That's how I'll sum it up! Special mention for the guy who takes the orders, always available, knowledgeable, and professional. It's always busy, so there's a long wait. P.S. If I go to an exotic venue and ask for off-menu cocktails, A very helpful guy is looking for a solution, whether it's a reproduction of the cocktail itself or a hypothetical variation. It's like going to a shoe store and asking for a painting.

22/09/2025: Service: The wine we wanted to drink, which the staff said was a great decision, wasn't available. The bottle that we then ordered was brought to us open, but we couldn't even test it first, so we had to pour the first glass ourselves. The waiter had problems speaking english and was not flexible at all with the dish selection, since many dishes weren't available. We had to pay inside at the register, so with all that in mind, why does one have to pay cover charge? Food: The mozarella in the caprese salad was very jewy and the olive oil and aceto balsamico came in plastic bags, again why cover charge? The fish was okay but bland. The gnocchi were mushy and the shrimp sauce tasted frozen with a weird rotten fish aftertaste. Also the shrimps were cut open and there were scissors of other sea animals in the dish. We had to return it because it was inedible.

19/09/2025: Fish dishes have an unpleasant smell and terrible flavor. The only redeeming feature is the service.

09/10/2025: First night in Lucca and didn’t have a reservation anywhere. Tried to get into a highly recommended restaurant but it was full. Found Piccolo Mondo and they could take us (only 2 people). Food was excellent - soup, shrimp risotto, broccoli flan and spaghetti bolognese. All great! But service was horrible - the staff made us feel like they were doing us a favour by even recognizing us. But there are SO many great restaurants to enjoy that one doesn’t have to put up with such poor service.

09/09/2025: Great welcome, very good food, attractive prices, we had a pleasant time, very good atmosphere. Pasta with porcini mushrooms for 13€ really delicious, entirely homemade

17/10/2025: A truly stylish and interesting location. I've lived in Versilia for a while, but I'd missed this restaurant in Lido di Camaiore, strategically located for enjoying the sunset from the terrace. The restaurant and its staff are modern and refined, and of excellent quality. The food was excellent, as was the service, even though I took advantage of The Fork discount to get the best value. Highly recommended!

14/07/2025: È gia la seconda volta che ceniamo qui, qualità del cibo buona, camerieri gentili, forse un po’ troppo caos e musica un po’ troppo alta! Prezzo leggermente sopra la media!

10/07/2025: Menu molto vasto, materia prima di ottima qualità, buon rapporto qualità-prezzo servizio eccellente anche se il locale era molto affollato, i piatti sono arrivati sempre tutti insieme ed erano molto buoni

19/07/2025: Cibo buono ma ho cenato da sola nonostante fossimo in coppia. Arriva il mio antipasto e dopo 15 Min quello del mio compagno. Poi arriva il mio piatto principale e mezz'ora dopo quello del mio compagno...per me queste cose sono inaccettabili. Non tornerò, ovviamente

15/07/2025: Il locale è posto sulla passeggiata a mare, in posizione strategica dal punto di vista della visibilità, e si presenta molto bene, con tavoli ordinati e ben apparecchiati. Il nostro è stato un pranzo veloce, perché eravamo in transito e la lunga percorrenza che ancora ci attendeva quel giorno non consigliava di fare un pasto impegnativo. Giudicare un ristorante sulla base delle semplici insalate che abbiamo consumato mi pare ingiusto, però va detto che nel loro genere ci sono parse tutto sommato deludenti, non fosse altro per il rapporto qualità-prezzo... Dato comunque che l'ambiente risulta attraente, ci torneremo, magari per provare la pizza e i piatti di pesce.
