10/05/2026: Found by accident late on a Sunday. The brunello was excellent, cheese and meat platter was good - the fennel salami was very good - l and the Parpadelle pesto tasty. Couldn't have picked a better spot for a late bite.

04/05/2026: I don't know this place for their food, but for an aperitif I can only advise against it, 6 people and a small bowl of chips and a bowl of dry bread, pretty shabby.

24/05/2026: I'm coming to Italy not to eat cheap, stale crisps served to justify a €3 "service charge," not even to drink a small glass of €8 table wine.

17/05/2026: Worst pizza we've ever eaten. Relatively thick, not crispy, and the dough was tasteless. After having fantastic pizza in the center of Pisa, this was a complete disappointment.

09/06/2026: Good food, but the service was too long... even with a reservation, the hour and a half wait in the heat was hard to bear (if they had told us when we booked that was the only available seat, we wouldn't have come). The food was good, but the servings were meager for the price. Service was 50/50: one waitress was kind and smiling and occasionally spoke to you, while the other was the complete opposite, not responding to "thank you" messages or even looking you in the eye. I had a seafood pasta dish and couldn't ask for a dish for the shells or a hand towel because the waitress had already left. I wanted to order dessert, but I gave up because once our courses were finished, they continued to ignore us and no one asked if we wanted it. The price for an appetizer, first course, second course, water (from 70!!!!!!) and two glasses of red wine was 75 euros. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

02/06/2026: We had a very bad and very expensive meal here today. My wife ordered tagliatelle con porcini, and I ordered capretto fritto con verdure fritte. Both dishes were extremely salty. We were the only customers. The music was very loud. The steep, dark stairs to the restrooms are an ordeal, downright dangerous. The bill arrived handwritten on a piece of paper. It was far more expensive than what was listed on the old, greasy menu. I paid without comment because I felt sorry for the owner. We love restaurants that aren't mainstream. But with all due respect, this is unacceptable. The owner should rethink his concept—or simply close down.

06/08/2026: Disappointing food despite the beautiful setting We came here specifically for dinner after reading the positive reviews, although we were not staying at the hotel. The rooftop setting and the view are beautiful, and the idea of being able to choose your own fresh fish is certainly a nice touch. Unfortunately, that is where the experience stopped being special for us. The service was perfectly fine and the staff were friendly, but the food simply did not match the level you would expect from a restaurant in this setting and at these prices. The dishes were quite basic, the flavours lacked refinement, and overall the quality was disappointing. Nothing we ate felt particularly special or memorable. We spent around €200 for two people, having a starter and a main course. For that amount of money, we expected a completely different level of cooking and quality. In our opinion, you can have a much more enjoyable and authentic meal at one of the good beach restaurants nearby for considerably less money. A beautiful rooftop and a nice view can add to the experience, but ultimately the food should be the reason to visit a restaurant. Unfortunately, for us, it simply wasn’t good enough and definitely not worth the price. We did not stay at the hotel, so this review is solely about our experience at the restaurant.

25/05/2026: A charming place on the fifth floor of the hotel. I had dinner there for my anniversary with my partner and we had a really good time: a corner table with a beautiful view, especially at sunset. The staff was really kind and friendly, and everything was top-notch. The prices are high, but fully deserved for what they offer.

17/08/2026: The only redeeming feature is the staff and the location...if you want to eat, go somewhere else...for four people, €440 for 20 grams of fish. Bean salad passed off as seafood salad (10 grams of fish)...the spaghetti with clams was inedible...the only redeeming feature was the sea bream.

01/08/2026: Il Fortino has the advantage of a well located venue but predictably lacking the follow through on fare. It has a limited menu that is overpriced and can only be read off your mobile - a Covid inspired hangover of the QR code! This is laziness disguised as progress. QR is abbreviation for “Quick Read”which is fine for a MacDonald menu but not for a Tratoria! My 150g tagliata was priced at €45 and added to this, is the other favourite of Italian venues - the Coperta (€7 pp)! Sadly, Il Fortino, is underwhelming and as mentioned, overpriced.

29/06/2026: Everything was absolutely perfect, starting with the quality of the food! The waitresses are all incredibly good and incredibly kind to each customer! The children's play area with a water slide and inflatables is very well-kept! The wait times are normal, but you can't ask for more! Prices are normal, if not below average! I highly recommend them!

13/09/2025: Wonderful little place! On our way back from a trip to the area, we decided to extend our stay and stop here for dinner. It was a delightful experience with very hospitable service. They had fresh porcini mushrooms picked that day and brought us a truly generous tagliatelle, which we devoured! It's a shame the tray wasn't edible, otherwise we would have eaten that too. 20/06/2026: Very attentive and great with children. The food was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

20/06/2026: A small restaurant located in Pietrasanta's main square. The menu offers a wide selection of fish, meat, and pizza. We had the fish dishes, which were exquisite. The lobster pacchero, which wasn't on the menu, was truly delicious. Quick service and very friendly waiters.

07/01/2026: Pizzeria on the promenade. The pizza used to be good, but I think pizzerias don't exist anymore.

22/09/2025: Service: The wine we wanted to drink, which the staff said was a great decision, wasn't available. The bottle that we then ordered was brought to us open, but we couldn't even test it first, so we had to pour the first glass ourselves. The waiter had problems speaking english and was not flexible at all with the dish selection, since many dishes weren't available. We had to pay inside at the register, so with all that in mind, why does one have to pay cover charge? Food: The mozarella in the caprese salad was very jewy and the olive oil and aceto balsamico came in plastic bags, again why cover charge? The fish was okay but bland. The gnocchi were mushy and the shrimp sauce tasted frozen with a weird rotten fish aftertaste. Also the shrimps were cut open and there were scissors of other sea animals in the dish. We had to return it because it was inedible.

03/06/2026: Book during holiday periods. Very crowded, excellent quality, not for everyone's budget.

29/05/2026: One of the better meals we’ve had. Standout for me was the Florentine steak and the sardines.
