15/09/2023: Our family group of three had a really nice dinner at Laltrolato. Christian and his colleagues were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Great service, lovely atmosphere and the food was really delicious. To start, we shared two dishes between three, Ravioli Fatti a Mano and Gnocchi Fati a Mano. The flavours were really lovely and the textures of both the ravioli and the gnocchi were perfect. For the main course two of us had the pork ribs (Costina di Maiale) and our third member had duck (Petto d'Anatra). Absolutely delicious all round and cooked to perfection. We then had two beautiful desserts (Flan di Cioccolato and Sfere de Meringa). A wonderful evening and a most memorable experience. Thanks to Christian and his colleagues at Laltrolato.

01/09/2023: Non venivamo qui da molto tempo ma avevamo memorie di un'ottima cena. Il tempo passato ha senza dubbio ancora migliorato la cucina. La posizione è un po' 'particolare', ma risolve ogni problema di parcheggio. Sedie comode e apparecchiatura con belle tovaglie. Servizio impeccabile e professionale, con il giusto tempo dedicato alle spiegazioni. Piatti veramente curati nella ricerca delle armonie di gusto e di presentazione, con scelte mai banali ma molto riuscite, come quella di non usare pochissimo o zero zucchero nei dolci ma solo il fruttosio delle coulis di accompagno. Cotture giuste, accostamenti molto piacevoli. Provati gli gnocchetti agli scampi, i cappelletti farciti di baccalà, gli sparnocchi nostrali, il polpo galiziano, il baccalà islandese, la meringa e le variazioni di cheesecake. Carta dei vini non ampissima ma con spunti interessanti, a diversi livelli di prezzo. Non ho resistito allo Chardonnay Sankt Valentin, una garanzia. E serviti in bicchieri giusti (che sembra banale ma non lo è). Prezzo correttissimo anche con un po' di sconto. 65€ per una cena di solo pesce, di questo livello, ci stanno tutti. Si ritornerà di certo.

13/09/2024: Buon servizio bella la location prezzi bassi cibo da dimenticare, nella maniera più assoluta.. Per noi mai più. Un peccato perché la volta precedente era stara un esperienza tutto sommato positiva.

22/08/2024: Correction 5/26/23 DANGER!!!!!!! Visited again with great anticipation. The waiter recommended the wild boar goulash as a second choice. Unfortunately, this was already bad and was "saved" by the kitchen with vinegar and olives. This borders on knowing fraud if not poisoning. I had 24 hours of terrible pain, heaving and tremendous heartburn. NEVER AGAIN

09/12/2023: Ridiculous number of staff members for the number of clients, and all in all disorganized. We’ve waited a long time for our order to be taken. The food came rapidly, but poor quality for the price and the cutlery was not well washed. Never received our water, even if was asked twice. We ordered some white wine and in our opinion there was water in it. Don’t recommend coming here.

04/09/2023: First restaurant we visit in lucca, we ordered a panini and pizza margherita. We got a frozen pizza and the panini bread was old. I expected a better quality for the food but it was a 0. They get a star only because the staff were nice.

20/01/2025: Pessimo. Frittura con olio esausto. Spaghetti alle vongole molto salati. Abbiamo atteso 40 minuti prima di mangiare e il locale non era pieno. Vino acido

04/01/2025: Ottimo locale sulla passeggiata a mare a Lido di Camaiore. Dehors ben curato con disponibilità di libri per leggere e giochi per i bambini. Ottimi piatti sapientemente preparati con fantasia e cucina all eccellenza. Ho apprezzato molto la gentilezza e cura nel servire della proprietaria. Ho chiesto un calice di vino e mi hanno serpreso servendolo al tavola con relativa descrizione del vino. Spesa corretta. Unico neo, nel dehors il rumore della clientela è alto, consiglio di intervenire sull’ acustica

14/11/2024: Siamo stati a cena e abbiamo preso piatti di pesce e dolci ,abbiamo mangiato bene.Frittura buona ,ma a me piacciono i calamari e qualche anello ci stava e crema catalana troppo liquida,ma gusto buono. Lo consigliamo in ogni caso.

22/10/2024: Tuvimos una cena en este restaurante. La comida estaba bien, teníamos una bruschetta como entrada, un plato mixto de pescado y marisco y mi esposa tenía una pasta (no casera! ! ! ). El interior también era bastante agradable. La única reserva que tengo es el servicio que debería mejorarse al menos, porque el servicio simplemente importa. Camarero, como el único (era el final de la temporada, por lo que puede que no esperaban una ocupación completa) parecía estar un poco perdido, ya que tuvimos que pedir todo (parmiggiano a la pasta, plato vacío para el resto de los mariscos, etc). Sin embargo, la comida era buena y tenía un precio justo, por lo que si no confía en la calidad del servicio, probablemente obtendrá lo que está buscando.

01/12/2024: Bellissima esperienza. Tutto ottimo. Servizio buono, cordialissimi e onesti. Simpatici e alla mano. Assolutamente da ritornarci.

05/03/2024: With regret and dissapoitment i say that they serve and cook the worst pizza from the whole world, not just from Italy. Edit after owner's reply: It may be closed for now, but i could not forget this pizza we had last summer here. Every time we eat pizza, me and my wife still talk about your pizza, it remains in our memory forever :) Maybe instead of sarcastingly replying at reviews you improve the pizza and change the furniture and attitude, because the LoTR ideea is good, but not well managed. Have a nice day!

23/11/2023: I was there a few evenings ago with my son, I ate the exceptional Arabic bread, excellent, very good, I'll be back as soon as I can.
