18/03/2026: Pros and cons...Pretty good pizza, but really long wait times. Very low price. I went there for a birthday party. We had a large table (maybe 30 people), but I don't think there were many other tables. The fried pasta and cecina at the beginning of the meal were good, but they weren't enough to cover the wait for the pizza. The place is a bit small for such a large table. However, I only spent €15 for an appetizer (pizza, drink, and coffee). Dessert was on the birthday girl's plate!

09/02/2026: The quality of the menu is inconsistent. The sea bass, for example, was very good, perfectly cooked, while the cutlet was very dark; the oil clearly hadn't been changed in a while. I think the side dishes were expensive, especially considering the small portions. Along with the sea bass (which was only half a piece), the order included a portion of mixed vegetables that cost €7, which probably included a medium-sized pepper and half an eggplant. For €7, in short... The service is quite fast.

14/09/2025: Recently visited this charming little bar located conveniently near the University of Messina. As expected for the area, you'll find plenty of students frequenting this spot, creating a lively academic atmosphere. Space & Seating: The bar is quite compact with limited seating, so if you're planning to visit with a larger group, I'd recommend arriving early or being prepared to wait. During daytime hours, the outdoor seating can get quite sunny, making indoor spots more comfortable. Service & Staff: The service was pleasant, with friendly male and female bartenders who were professional and accommodating throughout my visit. I ordered the Crema di Caffè with Panna, which offered good value for money in terms of both quality and portion size. While it was enjoyable and reasonably priced, I wouldn't say it's the absolute best Crema di Caffè you'll find in Messina – but certainly worth trying. Overall: A decent neighborhood spot that's definitely worth a try if you're walking through this area of Messina. While it has some limitations in terms of space and the sweetness level of certain items, the friendly service and reasonable prices make it a solid choice for a quick coffee break, especially if you're in the university district. Recommended for: Students, coffee lovers, quick stops, solo visits

24/07/2025: It was a pleasure to calm down during a hot day in Messina. Nice barman served me tasty kind of espresso with ice-cream. Delicious and for a good price. Grazie. 😘

13/04/2026: The restaurant was full, but there was only one waitress, who had to bring the dishes, take the orders, count the bills, and clear the tables. Poor thing, it wasn't her fault. Service was obviously incredibly slow. The food quality doesn't justify the price. It's a historic trattoria, but the previous management probably made its mark. The current owner is probably the one who used to sit with friends, come into the kitchen, take the dishes, and serve the wine, just as if it were his own home—who knows? A place for tourists, in short.

11/04/2026: It was a delightful discovery. The staff were warmly welcomed in a tidy and functional family atmosphere. For dinner, we relied on Enrica, who suggested the chef's specialties. We didn't regret it and will definitely return, as we were satisfied with everything. Thank you all, you're a great team. Congratulations!

29/03/2026: A nice rustic restaurant with parking. We tried the Florentine steak, which was well cooked. The baked potatoes were good. The tiramisu was excellent. The staff was friendly. I recommend it.

16/03/2026: We spent a day at Argentario. Besides the priceless sea view, the fish of the day was excellent. I highly recommend the eggplant and swordfish first course! Excellent service...if you're passing by, stop by.

18/03/2026: I usually come to this restaurant for fish. Personally, I think it's the best in the area. The mixed antipasto is noteworthy. The wine list is well-structured. Last time, I also tried an excellent rum paired with dark chocolate.

17/10/2025: Perfect express fish soup! Don't complain about the 40-minute wait... or make a reservation! Thanks to the staff who start working at 7:00 AM to prepare the homemade bread you can enjoy at dinner ❤️

10/10/2025: What can I say? The chef, with whom we personally reserved a table yesterday, has learned his craft. The "fish soup" is top-notch. The tomato sauce "soup" has a truly perfect balance between the acidity of the tomatoes and the sugar, which brings them to life. Simply brilliant. Mama Sita, in a nutshell. It couldn't be better. It was just as delicious from bite to bite as you couldn't achieve it yourself. The recommended wine complemented the taste experience positively. We had the soup for one person and shared it because we wanted a second dish. We had the homemade ravioli. That was the crowning glory. The homemade sauce, too, was a gourmet's dream. A Michelin-starred restaurant could add this chef to its menu once a month. Provided the best fresh produce is used. He buys fresh produce every morning, as he told me. So make a reservation and enjoy—it's worth every cent. And to top it all off, there was a lemon sorbet. For the lady at the table, it's normal, and for me, it's vodka and a cafe doppio. Unfortunately, it's not in the picture.

16/02/2026: A special place! We both stayed and ate at La Torricella. Room with a castle view...amazing! Traditional cuisine with plenty of choice. Helpful and friendly staff. A special thanks to Claudia, who pampered us at both dinner and lunch. Highly recommended!!!

03/04/2026: We had gluten-free pizza. It's a pre-made Margherita, and you can order it with extra toppings. It's cooked in the same oven as the regular pizza. The regular pizza was also good.

08/04/2026: The food was amazing, especially the “I Pici All’ aglione” (best pasta we’ve ever eaten!). The prices were good, approx 10-11 for the pasta we ordered. The staff was kind and welcoming. Only problem was that there was a cover charge even though no bread was served (2€ per person). But overall great experience!

29/03/2026: A friend recommended this place. The first impression was very familiar, with many historic photos of famous people who've visited. This all speaks to the passion and tradition that still permeates this place. We came specifically for the famous cacciucco, and I must say we weren't disappointed... quite the opposite... authentic flavor and a truly generous portion. I recommend one for two... The girls at the tables were kind and friendly... The only criticism I have is that the desserts weren't to my taste (zuppa inglese and tiramisu), but I consider that to be a personal preference. For the price, I'd say it's fair.

21/03/2026: The atmosphere is retro, exuding experience and passion. I went for lunch during one of my motorcycle rides. I only ordered cacciucco. Special!

04/03/2026: We were truly delighted with this restaurant!! The service was excellent, fast, and friendly. The staff is young and friendly, and the owner is genuine and sweet, proud of his Greek origins. We had the pleasure of exchanging a few kind words and hearing some interesting facts about his country's history. The portions were generous and well-balanced, and the flavors were delicious and very authentic. We ordered a mixed appetizer, which included a bit of everything, accompanied by pita bread and an excellent, creamy, and flavorful tzatziki. The main courses were also completely satisfying! We'll be back!
