11/09/2025: What can I say? The best. You get the right price, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxing. If you're passing through Saturnia, you can't miss Mario's! After dinner, I recommend the apple pie with ice cream. It's delicious.

24/09/2025: Lovely interiors and atmosphere. Great hide-away in the middle of the crowd, and beautiful seating both indoors and outdoors. The service was lovely, headed by Mattia who showed us their bar (in the picture) and really made the experience more personalised - we will for sure be back. In terms of the food, the ingredients were really fresh where you could really taste the quality. Their generousity is also very commendable.

23/09/2025: We had a wonderful evening at Restaurant Irene in Florence. The location on Piazza della Repubblica could not be more perfect, right in the heart of the city. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, with a warm and stylish setting that made our dinner truly special. The service was excellent – attentive, professional, and very friendly, making us feel well cared for throughout the evening. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor, from the fresh and vibrant starter to the perfectly prepared pasta and risotto. Everything was of outstanding quality. Overall, Irene is the ideal place to enjoy a refined dinner in Florence with great cuisine, impeccable service, and a unique atmosphere. Highly recommended!

08/10/2025: We were lucky to arrive just as they were opening so we got a table even though we didn't have a reservation. I have a number of dietary restrictions but we were able to find dishes that I could eat. When we ordered, I asked the server to recommend a bottle of wine for us and he suggested an economical option that went well with our meals. The lamb was more thoroughly cooked than I am used to, and the beef was much rarer than my companion was used to, but both were excellent! The gnocchi was also quite good. We finished with the tiramisù and loved it! Very different from what we find in the US, but absolutely delicious. The servers didn't hover or interrupt us, but were always available if we needed something. It was pretty easy to get their attention, and they spoke enough English that we didn't have a problem communicating. We should probably try some of the other restaurants in town, but the experience here was so good that this might be the only place we dine out during our stay!

02/10/2025: Just enjoyed a delious meal at Antica Trattoria. Staff was very friendly, the food was of good quality and the portions were genorous and reasonably priced.

04/10/2025: Fantastic! Come eat at Questione di Gusto. Here you'll find a wide selection of French cheeses and delicious freshly made dishes. They also offer many schiacciate (flatbreads) and a wide selection of unique wines. The place and the owners are very welcoming. The outdoor area feels like a small garden, perfect for the summer and heated by the veranda for the colder months. The food is delicious and the welcome is like being at home. They also offer fine food. I highly recommend this place, especially for an excellent aperitivo. Highly recommended!!

23/05/2025: Aperitif with friends in the elegant and welcoming outdoor area. Excellent cured meats, including mortadella with truffle and venison ham, as well as the bread and the fragrant and light schiacciata, excellent selection of wines. Tatiana and her husband as always very kind and friendly. They never miss a beat....bravi bravi bravi

25/09/2025: We recently ate at Da Ugo on a recommendation. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it. The food was okay, hence the 3 stars. The waiter made it clear he wasn't in the mood and couldn't care less about us. He did his job, though. Bottom line: for the same price, you can get a much better overall experience elsewhere.

09/09/2025: I've been going to this restaurant at least twice a year for about 15 years. During every camper trip, we make every effort to include "da Ugo" in our itinerary. The food is excellent, as is the service and the location. Stefano is very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back in a few days.

15/08/2025: I'd been there before, and although the quality-price ratio wasn't, in my opinion, adequate, I'd eaten well. Last time, however, we found the black rice to have a decidedly acidic smell and taste. The owner listened to our reasonable concerns; we didn't want to put the restaurant in difficulty, but despite the dish being replaced, with the appropriate wait times, upsetting the entire table, we found neither understanding nor apologies. In fact, the bill was decidedly steep for what we ordered. Almost 70 euros per person for two first courses, two appetizers, and two liqueurs. I won't be returning.

16/08/2025: I chose it on the internet, it was exactly what I was looking for, spectacular food and TOP waitress, friendly and very funny, typical Tuscan, professional and friendly, accompanied by meat and DOC wine, I highly recommend it 💪🏻🤙😏

09/10/2025: A true old-fashioned tavern with limited seating, a meat and fish menu, all excellent. Quality house wine. The grilled squid is worth the trip.

30/08/2025: Having discovered it on TikTok, I decided to book. Seafood in Livorno is synonymous with quality. It's a place from another era, with limited seating, and quality food. It's like dining with family. Thanks, see you soon.

14/09/2025: Recently visited this charming little bar located conveniently near the University of Messina. As expected for the area, you'll find plenty of students frequenting this spot, creating a lively academic atmosphere. Space & Seating: The bar is quite compact with limited seating, so if you're planning to visit with a larger group, I'd recommend arriving early or being prepared to wait. During daytime hours, the outdoor seating can get quite sunny, making indoor spots more comfortable. Service & Staff: The service was pleasant, with friendly male and female bartenders who were professional and accommodating throughout my visit. I ordered the Crema di Caffè with Panna, which offered good value for money in terms of both quality and portion size. While it was enjoyable and reasonably priced, I wouldn't say it's the absolute best Crema di Caffè you'll find in Messina – but certainly worth trying. Overall: A decent neighborhood spot that's definitely worth a try if you're walking through this area of Messina. While it has some limitations in terms of space and the sweetness level of certain items, the friendly service and reasonable prices make it a solid choice for a quick coffee break, especially if you're in the university district. Recommended for: Students, coffee lovers, quick stops, solo visits

29/09/2025: For those who always have complaints... this is certainly not the place to argue about quality/price. And above all... a kind, friendly welcome, despite our repeated, personal experience: a gaggle of children who are truly impatient. Not for everyone, I'd say. Generous portions, fast service with a full restaurant, top-notch pizza and modest prices in a pleasant setting, both inside and, especially, outside when the weather permits, making it even more valuable. Unquestionable management, and for what it's worth... well done, and thank you!!!

26/08/2025: Recommended by our host, we tried it and were not disappointed. Good quality appetizers, excellent wild boar pici, as were the truffle gnocchi. Rustic location with a spectacular pergola garden. Dessert needs updating, but overall excellent.

03/05/2025: Ci siamo ritrovati in questo ristorante per puro caso, poiché abbiamo prenotato un B&B vicino ed eravamo in moto . Abbiamo preso solo un primo e un secondo, poiché venivamo già da un pranzo abbondante , ma propongono un percorso enogastronomico che consiglio di fare e che mi dispiace non aver avuto modo di approfondire.Ci hanno accolto con degli stuzzichini di casa ( favolosi 😋). Personale molto preparato, attento e cordiale, piatti molto raffinati e materie prime eccellenti. La cosa sorprendente è il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Ah...anche nel finale sono stati molto cordiali nell' offrire dei dolci mignon fatti dallo chef.. Consigliatissimo
