My wife and I went to this trattoria as soon as we arrived on the ferry from Corsica. I had an excellent caciucco dish (very generous portions), and my wife had sea bass. Everything was excellent, very kind and professional.

We parked downtown in the nearby paid parking lot. A historic venue with a well-kept and clean ambiance and bathrooms. The courtesy, quality, quantity, and attentiveness were beyond excellent. A lunch of Caciucco for four adults was delicious and very plentiful, so much so that we took some home.

The cacciucco was good but not epic: too much tomato sauce (and it tasted like puree from a jar). The service was subpar: not even a wet napkin. The atmosphere was comfortable, the price was fair.

29/05/2026: I stopped at Baracchina Rossa for an aperitivo, and I must say it was a pleasant discovery. Its location is one of its strong points: directly overlooking the sea, it offers one of the most beautiful views of the Livorno waterfront. I was lucky enough to be there at sunset, and the atmosphere was truly special. The sun slowly setting on the horizon, the reflections on the water, and the sea breeze made the moment even more enjoyable. These are the moments where it takes very little to feel good: a beautiful view, a drink, and time seemingly slowing down. The atmosphere is informal and relaxed, perfect for a break without too many pretensions but in a memorable setting. A place that left a lasting impression on me and one I would definitely consider for a future visit to Livorno. 🌅🌊🍹
