09/07/2024: FANTASTIC food, amazing service and the staff are very kind and lovely. Don't miss the antipasto platter. Best I've ever had. And their homemade pastas are amazing. The Maccheroni alla Norma was our favorite. Salvo was our waiter and we just loved him. Don't miss eating here!

15/08/2024: Table of 20 people with 4 children under 8 years old. After waiting 2 hours after ordering, when asked for information on the progress of the order, a waiter responded rudely to the diners. Price of the menu of the day (linguine with lobster) not specified from the beginning, with a final surprise on the bill. Alas, I was involved in a dinner/reunion to repeat the same negative review after 5 years. Unfortunately things have not changed.

15/08/2024: Large table of 20 people with children, after ordering we wait an infinity of time after which we try to ask what level of at least the dishes reserved for children were, the staff responds rudely. They should have apologized both for the attitude and for the long wait: serving dinner at 11 after more than an hour of waiting is really rude and embarrassing. Bad experience, I won't go back!

13/08/2024: Siamo venuti in questo ristorante con amici residenti a Lipari. Bellissima atmosfera e ottimi piatti. Dalla pizza al risotto al nero di seppia cucinato davvero ottimamente e primi di pesce. Servizio ben eseguito, proprietario gentile nonostante le serate stressanti e affollate di Agosto.

12/08/2024: La Cambusa è la migliore cucina che si può provare a Marettimo. Alimentari e gastronomia vi permettono di portare a casa delizie locali, panini cunzati e piatti pronti, ma la vera esperienza è provare il menù degustazione la sera a negozio chiuso. Una sequenza di assaggi e portate che vi faranno tornare nei giorni successivi per averne ancora: ricotte al forno farcite, peperoni ripieni, salumi e formaggi pregiati, salsiccia impanata, pomodori secchi gratinati e diversi tagli di un’ottima scottona alla piastra e altro ancora. Menzioni speciali per una delle tartare più buone mai provate (in menù) e per il fegato con le cipolle (fuori menù). Non vedo l’ora di tornare, non solo per le bontà descritte, ma per la cortesia e simpatia di Mariella, Filippo, Matteo e tutto il personale.

05/08/2024: Buon posto per preparare pranzi a sacco, offre vasta salumeria e selezione di prodotti tipici locali! Caro per quello che offre ma prezzi nella media dell’isola.

20/08/2024: Excellent welcome and service from the staff, strategic location on the Cefalù seafront and good food prepared with traditional recipes of Sicilian cuisine with Mediterranean flavours. My note of merit absolutely goes to the cannoli or Sicilian cassata accompanied by a glass of almond marsala prepared according to a local recipe.

22/08/2024: Il titolare ci tiene davvero a servire carne ed ingredienti di qualità. Ottimi gli antipasti misti e la carne. Unico neo la mancanza di un menu: l'offerta è antipasti + secondo (oppure uno solo dei due). In questo senso non è un posto che visiterei con assidua frequenza ma per contro è una garanzia su cosa aspettarsi. Per la scelta del secondo fatevi avanti voi, altrimenti è sottinteso che volete la tagliata di manzo al sangue... di opzioni ce ne sono, tutte di livello per altro, però non vengono sempre presentate

06/06/2024: Amazingly large range in a central location in Ortigia. The most important things are there, even a service counter fits in! I was happy about the cold beer. I also like Scottish whiskey, but I wouldn't pay 480 euros for a bottle of Dalmore 18 years ;-) Very friendly and helpful staff.

05/06/2024: I stopped in here for some beers and snacks. All the basics are here, plus a great variety of wines and a good selection of deli items.

25/08/2024: I read with deep amazement some negative reviews. I had dinner last night and I think there are very few places with such attention to detail. Sublime quality both in terms of fresh fish and meat, excellent pizza, excellent service, not to mention the ownership that makes the difference. I would like to underline that the prices are below average as I had a terrible experience in another place paying 40.00 for a white and black. I say with extreme frankness that When I want quality and above all hospitality I believe Torre Alta is it the best choice.
