27/04/2026: Tucked away on a narrow side street, just steps from the Piazza del Duomo, Trattoria La Canonica almost hides from the casual observer. Those who find it don't simply enter a restaurant, but rather a space that feels more like a collection of lived memories. Via Raddusa appears unassuming, yet behind the door unfolds a world of objects, relics, and found items, seemingly gathered from diverse times and places. It's a place that breathes stories – not primped or staged, but idiosyncratic and personal. The space itself feels less curated than organically grown. Among antique furniture, old photographs, and curious objects, one almost loses one's bearings, yet it never descends into chaos. Instead, the impression arises of moving within a private cosmos that reveals much about its owner. On this particular evening, he was present himself, a host of quiet presence, far removed from the usual bustling restaurant atmosphere. Perhaps taciturn, but by no means inattentive – more like someone who observes rather than imposes himself. Mid-February doesn't seem to be a time for large crowds. For long stretches, we were the only guests, which lent the atmosphere an almost intimate, almost otherworldly tranquility. Only as we were leaving did two other visitors arrive. This emptiness, however, didn't feel strange, but rather underscored the character of the place: unhurried, a little out of time. The food was pleasantly down-to-earth. The cuisine is clearly rooted in Sicilian traditions, with carefully prepared classics and ingredients that reflect freshness and regionality. So, in the end, it's not so much a single dish that lingers in the memory as the overall feeling: a place that doesn't try too hard, that is unique, and precisely for that reason, resonates. We felt comfortable, well cared for, without any fuss – and perhaps therein lay its special charm.

26/02/2026: We ordered two sandwiches to take home, some of the condiments were missing, as mentioned on the phone, and we had a stomach ache all night, in short, something to forget, we will never buy them again, I don't recommend it.

26/09/2025: The charcuterie and cheese platter for two was very good, varied, and filling. The only small flaw was that everything was a bit too salty for our tastes, but nothing serious, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The same goes for the torta al testo with mortadella, pecorino, and truffle cream. The service was perhaps a little slow to bring the platter (we waited half an hour and there was no one else eating), but the staff was super friendly and helpful, no complaints. The atmosphere is very relaxed, friendly, and not at all chaotic (at least on a Monday night), with the option of even watching a league match. The prices are absolutely fair, perhaps even affordable, for the quality and quantity they offer. We will definitely be back.

25/09/2025: I absolutely do not recommend it. I felt sick after eating here, and the place is dirty and has tables in the middle of the street.

27/03/2026: Bar opened in 2003 in Cepagatti (PE). Spacious and bright, with beautiful windows overlooking the square of a residential center. The bar also has outdoor seating for warmer weather. Ample parking. Decent selection of pastries, very friendly staff. Very pleasant atmosphere. Prices in line with the market.

24/03/2026: A short trip to Catania with friends and they recommended us to eat at La Paglia. We really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the excellent food. The quality/price ratio was also good. We will definitely be back. I recommend it.

24/08/2025: Really good. The sandwiches are 500g each, so I recommend getting one for two people. The sandwiches are made with excellent quality ingredients and are nice and filling. The staff is very young and friendly.

23/08/2025: The Jeep guy owes me an apology. Last night I was abused for leaving my car in the unloading lane, which has a 12-hour time limit. From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, I parked after 9:30 PM, and the guy thinks he owns the road. You couldn't unload the drinks in 12 hours? And you attacked us, saying you shouldn't park there and using foul language. Last night was my son's birthday, and you got us off to a bad start. I'm very careful when I park, and there were no handicapped spots. If there had been, I would have parked there. You weren't right, even though my children and I had to put up with your bad temper. The most rational thing would have been to admit your mistake and apologize.

15/04/2026: The staff were incredibly helpful. It was raining, but they immediately seated us inside even though the place was packed. Service was prompt and punctual, the food was honest and truly tasty, the starters were definitely worth trying, and the atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful. Well done, guys, keep it up!

04/05/2026: My husband and I are regular customers and often get pizza from this place. While waiting for our takeout order, our newborn started crying because he was hungry. Because of the cold and wind, we went in and asked if there was a place to breastfeed. We were told the only place available was the bathroom, because there were people everywhere. It was shocking and very unpleasant. Breastfeeding in a bathroom is neither hygienic nor acceptable. We were just asking for a little understanding. After this experience, we will never return. 28/04/2026: I ate at this restaurant in Augusta, which specializes in South American cuisine, and I have to say I was more than satisfied with the food. Large burritos, large sandwiches, and a wide selection of traditional dishes, like nachos, tacos, and chili con carne, as well as many other types of meat. The quality and quantity of these dishes are very good. As for the pizza, I wouldn't recommend this place. If you're going out for a good pizza, it's not the place for you; the quality of the dough and sauce isn't quite up to par. Obviously, this is just my personal opinion; I'm sure others might like it, but for me, if I'm looking for good pizza, I'll go elsewhere. As for the atmosphere, the place isn't very welcoming; the colors are cold and lacking in elegance, especially the hard plastic cups. As for the service, I have nothing to complain about. The staff are friendly, professional, and polite.
