12/11/2025: A very large restaurant with three spacious indoor rooms and two outdoor spaces. Unfortunately, we were there on a night when the air conditioners were broken. It seems like one broke, disrupting all the others. This can happen, especially during a time when they're constantly on. I would have preferred to know about the problem as soon as they entered the restaurant; this is done so that the customer can decide whether to stay or leave. Unfortunately, since it was a Friday, the owners said they couldn't find a technician available to help. (Personally, instead of buying six fans, I would have bought two portable air conditioners, which would certainly have helped cool the place a little.) The staff was excellent and friendly, as well as professional despite the aforementioned difficulty. Honestly, I didn't like the pizza; it was small, dry/burnt, and with few toppings. The prices were fair for a purely vacation destination. That's fine.

11/10/2025: I went out for dinner in the evening and had the 8-course tasting menu – this review is based on a Michelin-oriented assessment, meaning it focuses on perfection in the cuisine, service, wine pairing, and overall experience. What was good: * The meal overall was very successful. Technically masterful, creative ideas, and a good selection of ingredients. * The "salute to molecular gastronomy" with the olive bursting in the mouth and releasing a very intense flavor was particularly impressive. A moment that added character to the evening. * The service was generally friendly and attentive. There were moments where details were spot on. What was less convincing: * The portions were rather small in places, even for gourmet cuisine. This meant that you didn't always have the opportunity to fully appreciate the flavor of a course in its entirety – which is a shame if you expect many small nuances. * The "hamburger" interpretation of Sicilian dishes: The idea is appealing, but the burger bun was so dominant that it overpowered the other flavors. The balance suffered as a result. Wine Pairing / Sommelier: * One of the bottles of wine in the pairing was almost empty, and only a very small amount was poured. It seemed to us that more should have been poured, but the sommelier never appeared again. Only after asking the waitress did we learn that the originally planned wine was no longer available. The restaurant manager finally intervened and had us served a very delicious replacement wine, which was a positive moment. Unfortunately, we had to explain ourselves three times, which was unnecessarily awkward for such an obvious matter. Overall, the amount of wine poured was relatively small—especially compared to the Duomo in Ragusa. The sommelier barely maintained eye contact, seemed distant, at times uninterested in her own presentation, and somewhat above the guests. Overall, rather unpleasant for a Michelin-starred restaurant—I would have preferred more passion for wine. Perhaps she was having a bad day, which I certainly grant everyone. Compared to Duomo (Ragusa-Ibla, Chef: Ciccio Sultano, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant), the service at Crossificcio falls somewhat short overall. That's not to say Crossificcio is bad—but compared to a restaurant like Duomo, there's still some room for improvement, especially in terms of service and wine pairing. Summary & Rating Crossificcio offers a good to very good tasting menu with some very strong moments, including the molecular greeting. The cuisine is creative and meticulous, but details make the difference at this level: portion size, wine service, personal attention.

03/10/2025: A charming place! We had a seafood tasting, what can I say...it was wonderful, every course was spectacular and surprising. The cod with leek foam has remained in my heart. It's truly a masterpiece of cuisine, compliments to the chef and all the staff. The wine cellar is very extensive, the service top-notch, and the ambience is meticulously designed.

23/07/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo ristorante e siamo rimasti molto contenti. La pasta alla Eoliana era ottima come anche il pesce. Il servizio veloce ed i prezzi nella media. Ci simo poi ritornati una seconda sera e non ci ha deluso.

12/07/2025: Torno ogni anno da Don Piricuddu a Vulcano, ed è sempre una garanzia di qualità, freschezza e calore. Questo posto ha davvero qualcosa di speciale: l’atmosfera familiare e il pesce, sempre freschissimo e cucinato con maestria da Fabio. Ogni piatto è un viaggio nei sapori autentici delle Eolie. Dai crudi alle linguine all’astice blu: tutto è preparato con passione e rispetto per la tradizione locale. La gentilezza del personale e la cura nei dettagli rendono l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. È il mio appuntamento fisso ogni estate, e ogni volta riescono a sorprendermi. Un luogo dove si mangia benissimo e ci si sente a casa. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca il meglio del pesce in un angolo di paradiso!

11/08/2025: The prices are reasonable, and the produce is fresh. However, the staff isn't very friendly. It feels like a Parisian bistro. But otherwise, it's okay.

03/12/2025: On the plus side, the service is friendly and quiet, right in the center. The prices are low. The menu is also in Polish. On the minus side, it's a bit messy, and the carbonara, above all, has a hard sauce. I didn't eat it.

14/06/2025: Ieri sera ho festeggiato il mio sessantesimo compleanno ed è stata una serata indimenticabile. I padroni di casa sono stati meravigliosi, la location splendida e la cucina davvero deliziosa. Hanno avuto un’attenzione speciale anche per le diverse intolleranze alimentari presenti tra gli ospiti, permettendo a tutti di godersi la serata senza pensieri. Grazie di cuore per aver reso questo giorno così speciale!

11/11/2025: The restaurant is run by an Italian and a Polish woman (both serving customers). The menu is in Polish. It's tucked away in a quiet area. It's quiet and peaceful. Plenty of tables. The food is delicious, just like in Italy. I highly recommend it.

10/11/2025: The ambiance is wonderful, located in a dreamy area, very close to the Greek Theatre of Taormina, and across from the small Church of San Domenico. The atmosphere is very welcoming; there are always musicians wandering around the restaurants, adding a vibrant touch to the dining experience. I enjoyed the food; I tried three dishes: eggplant parmigiana, pasta with shrimp, and grilled clams. My favorite was the grilled clams.

17/09/2025: The menu was very limited, with few dishes to choose from; the marinara risotto also required advance reservations. The seafood spaghetti consisted only of mussels and clams. At 9:30 PM on a Saturday, when we asked for spaghetti with clams, we were told they only had a few and it was better to choose the marinara spaghetti I mentioned above. The mixed fried fish was all fish; they didn't have scampi, calamari, or even shrimp or prawns. The prices for the few dishes available were also quite high; spaghetti with (a few) clams was €22!! Maybe we were unlucky, but we're unlikely to return.
