23/03/2025: During our stay in Agrigento 2023, SAL8 was our absolute favorite restaurant! Although there were no tables available at the beginning, we were warmly welcomed with a glass of Prosecco - a really successful start. The entire experience was first class: from the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything was excellent. Particularly noteworthy is the swordfish with pistachio crust – a culinary highlight! The service was consistently attentive and friendly, and all at very fair prices. If you are in Agrigento, you should not miss this restaurant – a clear recommendation!

23/03/2025: @Google, please add one more star for this type of restaurant. It was a spectacular meal, delicious food, and a calm and pleasant atmosphere. As for the service, it's hard to improve. We came with a friend who's allergic to nuts, and they were super attentive and even brought desserts just for him without charging us extra. The price, without hesitation, was less than €50 per person. Perfect value for money.

06/03/2025: And then after visiting the magnificent Cathedral of Monreale we ventured to discover this small town and by chance we stopped for lunch in this lovely Taverna. For us it was a pleasant experience!!! We ate very well, my pasta alla Norma was truly excellent and the appetizers were delicious, excellent quality food, we highly recommend it 👏

27/02/2025: A real culinary experience The food at Catania Ruffiana was excellent - authentic Sicilian cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I particularly enjoyed the pasta and seafood. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit. 25/02/2025: We are from Los Angeles, USA, and came to Catania, Sicily with a tour group. Our tour guide recommended us to go to this restaurant for dinner. We ordered two appetizers and wanted to order two entrees but were told one entree would be enough. This restaurant looks okay from the outside but the interior is very warm and fresh. The biggest highlight is that their dishes are delicious, reasonably priced and their service is friendly. It made our trip to Sicily even more wonderful memories.

04/03/2025: In Sicily you can eat well in many places. They know how to do it. Standing out among the best is no small feat. Balanced dishes, well-proportioned, with the right amount of seasoning. Clean and well-kept environment. In seven days I ate at the restaurant 14 times. I put them in first place. First of all for the level of food, friendliness, environment. Availability. Calling them serious professionals is an understatement. They have something more.

09/03/2025: Charming restaurant in the province of Catania, in the town of Randazzo there is this reality of flavors resulting from ancient traditions masterfully combined with the gastronomic innovations of our times which makes good food a very special experience. Already the presence of the dining room gives a foretaste of the excellent delicacies with a verbal and mimic exposition that describes to the mind the dishes that can be ordered. I won't take away the pleasure of listening to this gastronaut with his kind and elegant manners who will explain every step of the individual dishes in great detail. But know one thing when he describes the succulent dishes, don't get distracted..... When he says for example sausage cut on the tip of a knife, experienced firsthand it is truly like this, the difference is in the taste that you can separate the flavor of the meat from the flavor of the lard from the fennel flavour, you realize this in the fact that the meat is not a shapeless mush but a sequence of well-seasoned pieces that leave a unique impression on the taster's palate. The shank boiled with wild vegetables is cooked with the parsimony and slowness of the boiling of the past without gustatory gulps in its seasoning. Then the final touch for our group was the kissing of our ladies' hands which made us take a space-time leap to times when gallantry was among the most prestigious families of the time. Thank you for giving us this excellent gastronomic experience which we will absolutely repeat with other dear diners

23/03/2025: Really friendly staff who tries to make you enjoy the dinner. The buffet antipasti was perfect to try a variety of local foods. The fried calamar was delicious and the pasta a la Norma nicely served. We also ordered a chicken breast but it was too much. Portions are pretty big. Many thanks. We had a great time.✨

18/03/2025: I am so happy about finding this restaurant. They made some of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever eaten, and that at a very reasonable price! The service was very quick and nice, they even spoke a little bit of English (the necessities) so we could understand each other despite our rough Italian. The menu doesn‘t really offer options for vegetarians/vegans, so if you don‘t eat animals (or their products), this isn‘t the right place for you. The restaurant is located not far away from touristic hot spots, but still far enough to preserve Sicilian charm. I also really liked that the workers and the guests all seemed to know each other, it felt very homely and safe. There are three tables outdoors, but they are essentially placed on the street. I didn‘t mind much, because there was a protection so you didn‘t feel any wind from the cars, and the owners placed plants for further separation. The prices were very very reasonable, almost a bit low (for me as a tourist). I cannot describe in words how good the food was. I tried two main dishes with seafood. The wine was nothing special but cheap and complimentary. Overall a really really good experience and one of the best memories from my vacation. Thank you!!

10/03/2025: This small medieval town on top of a hill in the Parco delle Madonie in Sicily has this one hotel in the middle of narrow, winding, hilly, cobbled streets. Parking is a matter of luck, as you can imagine, but once parked one can walk all around town. The hotel had someone waiting for us to hand over the keys and we were on our own after that. The first odd thing we noticed is that rooms 1 & 2 are on the top floor while room 6 is on the ground floor. Of course there are no lifts in this renovated medieval building, so three flights of stairs will keep you healthy when you’re in room 1. The room itself was very spacious and offers all the facilities one expects. The bathroom flushing was the second quirky thing we experienced - it’s a push button function but a sign on the wall advises guests that they need to push it several times with some energy for it to function - unfortunately I did not take a photo of the sign! Other than that our stay was pleasant and the breakfast buffet was enjoyable.
