17/08/2024: Partiamo dalle cose positive: - estrema attenzione al senza glutine, la mia compagna celiaca ha mangiato senza problemi con un’ampia scelta di piatti (quasi tutto il menù si poteva avere senza glutine) - locale grazioso e personale gentile - piatti della vera tradizione salentina eseguiti in maniera discreta - personale gentile - prezzi nella norma Meno bene: - Il locale ha un piccolo spazio aperto all’ingresso, la sala centrale e un terrazzo esterno. Nella sala centrale fa un caldo terrificante, ad agosto non è fattibile sostenere una cena. In questa sala ci sarebbe un condizionatore, ma è rimasto spento tutta la sera. Se i gestori decidono per motivi loro di tenerlo spento, dovrebbero dichiarare la sala inagibile o al limite avvisare gli avventori. Noi avevamo prenotato a metà luglio per una cena da tenersi il 17 agosto e nonostante un mese di anticipo non siamo riusciti ad avere un tavolo all’esterno. Possibile? - il menù in dialetto salentino è sicuramente carino, ma può mettere in difficoltà un turista - avendo un tavolo di fronte alla cucina potevamo sentire le reprimende della cuoca verso i collaboratori, situazione che ha trasmesso un po’ di disagio - vino un po’ troppo caldo

29/08/2024: We had dinner last night. Local "sea view" (after parking and road) and not "over" the sea. Not bad, just for precision. The terrace is however airy and pleasant. Kind and attentive staff. Very nice and affable manager. Regarding food: stratospheric highs and “clumsy” lows. Fresh and very good tuna, both the tartare and the seared one, the lobster tagliolini worthy of an Oscar, while the fried squid without praise or infamy. It's a shame that the sautéed mussels and clams had an unconvincing flavor, even though they were "fresh". Upon our observation, we were told that given the season, an "alternative dish" would have been better... we wondered why he didn't suggest it to us and why he didn't remove mussels from the menu. Full-bodied rosé wine, pleasant on the palate. Fresh and tasty dessert and fruit. €320 is enough for 4, given the lobster and the wine, even if not everyone ate everything. Too bad the mussels

04/08/2024: I ate divinely!!! 🍝 Then top redfish!! 10 with honors. Just one piece of advice: lower the hedge, the air will circulate more and people can admire the splendid square!!! The staff was very nice and prepared!!! Highly recommended!!!!

03/08/2024: Fantastic experience in the village of Muro Leccese. Nonna Rosa is renowned for the quality of its fresh fish. Expectations were fully met. In fact, the raw and cooked starter is highly recommended. Then for the daredevils, the catch of the day, to choose from the appropriate cart. The staff is very kind and attentive to customer needs. I will definitely go back.

05/08/2024: Excellent! Fresh fish dishes prepared with care. Together with the spectacle of the bay in the center of the town, the restaurant really deserves the highest score. The choice of wines was also excellent and in my case having to drive and my friend didn't drink, the white wines available by the glass were also excellent. really satisfied to do it again.

19/08/2024: Very nice place in the historic center. We decided to book our dinner here by reading the reviews online. Small place with tables outside the alley and two very nice internal rooms. We had dinner on the small terrace on the top floor. Very pretty. The waiter was very professional and kind. Good typical dishes. Right portions. We have 2 first courses and a second course to share. The prices are fair considering the tourist place and the location in the center. A nice venue. I recommend it.

16/08/2024: We went there for an aperitif (outside it says that aperitifs are from 6pm to 8pm) but we were quite disappointed. Except that there is no table service, but that's fine too. The counter was empty and the bartender took half an hour to make two cocktails (after starting them she even disappeared inside for a while) and then gave them to my boyfriend without even a chip. He brought them to the table and then we went to ask for two things to eat because we had left him 18 euros anyway... Angrily he handed us a bowl of chips and a bowl of olives At least the cocktails weren't bad and the place is nice

22/08/2024: A restaurant found quite by chance in a small alley that's not at all touristy, not many tables, chairs a little wobbly... but it was good! A low price but great quality for everything we took! The orecchiette in tomato sauce with polpette for the kids were simply amazing.

31/07/2024: Abbiamo cenato per due sere consecutive in questo lido. Atmosfera rilassante, con vista sulla cattedrale di Vieste. La prima sera abbiamo cenato con pizza e paposcia davvero ottime, impasto soffice e facilmente digeribile. La seconda sera abbiamo ordinato una frittura mista (composta essenzialmente da gamberi e calamari) e un buon pesce spada alla griglia. Come dolce un semifreddo al pistacchio, in verità,non eccellente. Molto meglio l'amaro locale. Personale gentile e servizio veloce. Prezzi in linea con gli altri locali di Vieste. Consigliato!

02/09/2024: Excellent service, excellent food, I recommend the fish starter, 5 courses of raw meat plus a large plate of cooked meat, a delicacy, cost 38 euros but it was worth it all. Our favorite place of all, so much so that we returned, I highly recommend... 5 stars all earned

29/08/2024: We stayed in the evening. Frankly we were largely disappointed. €80 that I feel was "stolen". Apart from the decent linguine with scampi and the sufficient grouper ravioli, you can't pay €12 for the carbonara mezze sleeves, a disaster (better to leave this dish in Rome) and above all the octopus salad: €18, a steal, cooked bad, soaked, unseasoned, and placed in a lot of curly lettuce. We come from a seaside city and we know what an octopus salad is (fresh at that). You can't serve such low quality dishes and cook poorly and charge so much for them.

04/09/2024: Having recently returned after years to this THIEVES restaurant, I am happy to correct my review... there were 3 of us a few evenings ago (let it be clear that I only went there because I wasn't paying... 😂😂) mixed starters of which only one plate of raw and the rest cooked, second course a sea bream which we divided into three with grilled vegetables, a bottle of calafuria rosé and 3 bitters (without first course) 110 euros each!! Although the quality of the fish is excellent, it is simply a legalized theft.. avoid it, there are other excellent restaurants in the area where you can eat the same things at half the price.. they have changed management but apparently the exaggerated prices do not change. I can only understand prices like that in a place like Grotta Palazzese where you also pay for the location

We had the pleasure of celebrating the birthday of a dear friend of ours. the service was excellent, not only in managing a table of 14 people but also in organizing the bouquet and cake. Simply put, great food and superb service. Thanks again to all the staff, we will be back soon!
