17/05/2026: Charming restaurant setting, welcoming staff, great food and wine - what's not to like. Maria's English and dish explanations was second to none. The chef knows how to cook! Parking easy. Well orchestrated dining experience. Would go back. We went back. As delicious and efficient as the first time. The quality and service doesn't waver.

08/06/2026: On the other side of the Duomo, away from the touristy streets, this restaurant is a real gem. Quiet and shaded, it serves cuisine far more refined than the touristy restaurants in the historic center. Bonus: Sasha is practically bilingual! Our favorite find of the day. Arrive early at lunchtime to snag a table in the shade!

08/06/2026: I highly recommend it! We were charmed from the start by the setting, the beautiful terrace surrounded by lovely cascading flowers. The dishes were incredible, delicate, and bursting with flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

28/05/2026: On the first evening of our Salento walk, we dined at Trattoria Concepita: a great satisfaction after walking almost 25 km. The dishes were delicious and well-prepared, and the atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. Definitely worth a try!

11/05/2026: Sale e Pepe Restaurant is one of those quiet restaurants where service is warm and friendly; it's definitely a good choice for those seeking a quiet meal. The menu balances traditional and innovative, offering traditional dishes adapted to the concept of a fine-dining restaurant. The restaurant also offers a daily menu (with two dishes) to offer regulars a bit of novelty and variety. The service is meticulously maintained by the waiters, especially the Maître d', who resolves any issues with extreme professionalism and speed.

09/05/2026: I had an appetizer of 6 mozzarella balls with eggplant and shrimp tartare: microscopic, frozen mozzarella balls, no discernible flavor. The first course was bavette with mullet bottarga: the pasta was very good, but the sauce was undetectable. The dessert was: cream puffs with dark chocolate ganache; on the plate, a ball of shortcrust pastry covered in icing... this too was tasteless. In short, a pretentious, expensive place, with food far below the price and expectations!

16/05/2026: The place is truly beautiful, well-maintained, and beautifully presented, which is why we chose to come here. I had booked specifying that three of the four people were celiac, after asking if gluten-free options were available and receiving confirmation. Once we arrived, we had to remind ourselves of this several times, but gradually we discovered that many dishes were unsuitable, including some appetizers ordered and delivered without proper attention to the situation. After reiterating this several times, we realized that many of the dishes were unsuitable. Being celiac isn't a choice, and those who are celiac often feel uncomfortable when dining out, because they don't always feel completely comfortable having to constantly ask for information or special requests. For this very reason, when a restaurant confirms the availability of gluten-free options, we expect greater preparation and attention. It's a shame, because the location truly deserves it.

15/06/2026: Good pizzeria, welcoming atmosphere. The pizzas are well-cooked, and the appetizers are good. Reservations are recommended. The staff is friendly and professional. It's generally not very crowded, and there are plenty of takeout customers. The only drawbacks are the limited beer selection and the difficulty finding parking.

03/06/2026: Exceptional place! The owner is a very kind person who explained to us the importance of having a zero-mile organic farm and his philosophy on farm management. Admirable! The location has a beautiful garden, meticulously cared for down to the last detail. Recommended restaurant for the quality and attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes! Highly recommended if you're staying in Gallipoli.

18/05/2026: Wonderful location, immersed in silence and greenery, well-kept and welcoming. I had lunch with my husband and I must say that everything was top-quality and fresh. I ordered the fried calamari and the land and sea appetizer because both capture the freshness of the sea and the aroma of Salento. The service was very fast and attentive. The prices were fair. Highly recommended!!
