The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food consistently top-quality, and the prices are truly fair. The meat and fish are always fresh, the dishes authentic and prepared with attention to every detail: never a disappointment. Michele is fantastic, always available and attentive, and the entire staff contributes to the impeccable service: fast, courteous, and with that touch of familiarity that truly makes the difference. A genuine place, where you eat well and feel good. If you're in the area, stopping here is a must.

Impeccable cleanliness, the kindness of the staff, and the tranquility of the location gave us days of true relaxation, just what we needed. Thank you so much for making our stay so special. 02/09/2025: I stayed with my family from August 20th to 27th. A simply wonderful, fantastic location, super quiet and well-maintained in every aspect. Absolutely excellent location for nearby Otranto and the nearby beaches of Salento. Giusy and Giuseppe, like all the staff, are exceptional people, always present and available. They make you feel at ease from the first moment. It's hard to find a flaw. The pool is superb, the rooms are spacious and always clean... breakfast, well, what can I say? Their products are top-quality. Wonderful holiday. We will return, but in a few days. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

07/10/2025: GOOD but… DON'T GET THE RAW FISH! So let's start with the fact that the fried fish is very good. Like the other appetizers we ordered… but there's one big, big flaw. The raw seafood… too expensive for such an overly elaborate dish. But ugly, tasteless… only beautiful to look at. 3 flavorless tartares, not the best fish (by type), accompanied by a flask of boh-infused oil (sour, inedible, to be avoided). Except for this salty aside, which we could have easily avoided… The appetizer was good! And the first courses… WELL, my friend… The lobster first course was “SCARY”!! Beautiful, colorful, substantial, fresh, and so on. 2 important notes, however: 1st, well done for the selection of bitters (probably a local company, a series of very nice bitters found in many restaurants in the area). Second, you can't be a Michelin-recommended restaurant... and you have no system or way to keep the dining room cool. Two air conditioners, one of which is turned off due to condensation... too bad that in the summer, with wine, dinner becomes unbearable. The raw ham (which leaves much to be desired) and the heavy sweating on the plate cost them one star in this review. Turn on the fan now!!!!

12/11/2025: I attended a meeting in one of the old rooms. The route to the room fascinated me. The garden was beautifully kept and beautiful, with perfectly placed fountains and, to complete the experience, the lighting gave it a very retro feel. It didn't feel like I was in the city center.

11/10/2025: This was an odd experience. Most importantly, the food is delicious, wonderful in fact. Exactly what I wanted - a taste of Lecce. We started with the fiori di zucca fritti and a sample of olive oil toasts. I had the Sagne Nnannulate with the tomato sauce with horse meat, lovely balance of richness and savory tomato flavor. My wife enjoyed the Ciceri e tria pasta, also wonderful. We paired it with a nice rose wine. Where I felt bothered was how we were treated. This is my 10th trip to Italy, so I know the customs and embrace them fully. I am not fluent but speak Italian decently for a tourist. We were dressed as well as anyone who showed up. We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened at 8pm. There was a large tour group eating inside. However we were told we could only eat outside. OK, I understand it's Saturday night maybe there were many reservations so we took seats outside. But it was evident that we were not welcome for whatever reason. We could tell from the conversations as people rang the bell to enter, half of the people who arrived afterwards didn't have reservations. I speak well enough to understand the language of the restaurant. YET NO ONE ELSE WAS MADE TO SIT OUTSIDE. Each time the door opened, we hear people inside enjoying themselves and we were alone outside. While food service was OK, in my many visits to Italy this was the first time I was made to feel like a stranger. Made more apparent every time the front door closed. To reiterate, the food is wonderful. The inside atmosphere and decor, from what we could see through the windows like beggars, is charming. We just didn't feel welcome. We skipped dessert downed a coffee, paid and left. We felt welcome in Bari for 3 nights but Lecce was not welcoming this night. Dumb luck I guess.

21/11/2025: Dinner with friends, worth 10! Raw seafood, hot appetizers, and the freshest fried food, eaten and savored at the table with Chef Gigi. Excellent quality. I'll definitely be back. Gigi #1!

03/11/2025: La Pergola Restaurant was a real surprise during our stroll through Santa Maria al Bagno. It's centrally located, right on the village square, overlooking the sea. The highlight is undoubtedly the cuisine, which proved to be excellent. You can taste the freshness and quality of the fish, the true star of the menu. 08/12/2025: Good morning, yesterday I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with a dear friend of mine for lunch, who took me to Monopoli for the first time. What can I say? As soon as we entered, fate decreed that we were the first to arrive, and thus had that little bit of anxiety about being in full view of everyone. Haha, then, just two seconds later, not only did we smell the delicious food, but we also immediately sensed the special aroma of a kind welcome that made us feel instantly at home. And, above all, seeing the PEACE of mind that permeates the heart of the place and all the people who work there, always with a genuine smile on their faces, filled my heart from the very first moment. Politeness? Simply extraordinary, needless to say. Always attentive to everything, but always with a smile. A friendliness that I would describe as 110%. I savored the delicious dishes, those spectacular baked potatoes, that seafood platter. I'm also sorry I was full, otherwise I would have taken it home if I could have. Haha, eg eg, but anyway, we chatted, and we kept repeating: "What a beautiful place, what lovely people, how delicious this pasta is, look how lovely the waiters are to each other, seeing them smile at their work is not a given, given that some people work almost reluctantly these days, etc." Because having GOOD-hearted people around you really improves your mood. I felt free of mind, for the first time in a while: I even told my friend, it almost felt like a burden had been lifted from me. Maybe it's the wonderful humanity of those who work there, the atmosphere, the EXTRAORDINARY food, the good company, or the wonderful light that envelops the place... but I hope to return countless times. Kindness, politeness, goodness of heart, believing in what you do, respect for yourself and then for those around you, and above all, a HUGE SMILE will always be the best ways to face life. 19/10/2025: We stayed at this hotel for two weeks, and what can I say? "Everything was perfect." We thank Cosimo, Valentina, and the entire staff for their professionalism and courtesy. Thanks to chef Mimmo, who pampered us with his dishes. A special thanks to maître d', Angelo, who attentively attended to our needs with great professionalism, making us feel at ease. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and linens were changed daily. We hope to see you again soon for another stay.

03/09/2025: Everything was perfect. It's hard for me to find a flaw in the hotel. We've been coming here for six years, and every year it's simply welcoming. Cosimo and Valentina are fantastic. Always available and ready to solve any problem, should we have any. We can't forget Sabino, one of their great collaborators. The Rinelli Hotel has two refined restaurants, one more beautiful than the other, with "land and sea" menus that change daily. It also has several B&B apartments, built with a very beautiful architectural style, overlooking the beach promenade. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being here.
