23/11/2025: We went today for lunch with our children, 8 adults and 7 children. We had a peaceful lunch without the chaos that can easily be found in these types of establishments. The kids had fun in the play area, supervised by some entertainers who even made things even more fun with a puppet show! The food was delicious, both the meat and the burgers, and the staff were all friendly. I highly recommend it because it's hard to find a place where you can eat well and the kids can have fun at the same time!

15/06/2025: Zum 1. Mal in der neuen Osteria delle Aie in Castagnito. Sehr angenehmes Ambiente, freundlicher und flinker Service. Alle aufgetragenen Speisen schmeckten sehr herrlich, aber die hausgemachte Glace aus Aprikosen ist speziell erwähnenswert, so superfein. Das Haus befindet sich nach wie vor auf einem sehr hohen Niveau zu moderatem Preis. Gratulation an die freundliche Gastgeberin. Weiterhin viel Erfolg wünschen Urs mit Margrit und Christian

30/11/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it was a delightful discovery. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service impeccable, and the food delicious. From the mixed antipasto to the charcuterie board, to the delicious agnolotti, and finishing with perfectly cooked braised cheek. We'll definitely be back!

09/11/2025: Hadn’t booked a table but they did fit us in. Busy when we arrived which made getting drinks and ordering a little slow. Drank some wonderful local red wine, food was really very social, my risotto was outstanding and we would certainly return again.

16/10/2025: We've been using the beach volleyball courts for a year and have never had any complaints. However, last time I didn't think it was fair that they charged us for a beach court reservation, which included heating (the courts were cold) when the heating was off. Unfortunately, the price difference for a service we didn't enjoy wasn't appreciated by anyone paying. I hope this review will be helpful to those who manage the facility. We'll definitely consider other facilities before returning.

01/12/2025: Neapolitan pizzeria in the heart of San Salvario. We came in late at night, almost closing time, but they happily welcomed us for two quick pizzas. I'm sorry I was in a bit of a rush, but at least it'll be an excuse to come back later. 😅 The pizza is worth it, one of the best doughs I've ever tried! Thin, airy, and perfectly crispy. The pizza and prices are reasonable, with good, simple ingredients. The place, despite being basic, is well-kept.

19/11/2025: The pizza dough, tomatoes, and cheese were delicious. I recommend the burrata cheese pizza. The portions were also large. Reservations are available for dinner. We were lucky to find an empty table, and there was no line. There's also a service charge. It offers a delicious pizza for those looking for a tasty treat.

14/10/2025: I've been to the Grotto St. Anna a few times over the past few years, but each time I felt less hospitable and less welcomed as a guest. The sign on the gate in German stating that only drinks are served with food isn't exactly a welcome – it could certainly be addressed differently. And today, the absolute low point. As always, we walked to the grotto and unfortunately found ourselves in front of a locked gate. Even though Google and the website said it should be open from 12 p.m., we waited in vain for 40 minutes in front of the locked door before heading back. No "closed" sign, no voicemail, no information... and we weren't the only ones; they probably didn't need it.

14/10/2025: Avoid this restaurant at all costs! Totally unprofessional! We found ourselves standing in front of closed doors this afternoon, even though Google said the restaurant was open. There's no indication on the website that the restaurant is closed today. Can't be reached by phone either!

09/12/2025: On Sunday evening, we dined at this restaurant, beautifully located right on the shores of Lake Orta. A welcoming interior with a lovely crackling fireplace, the restaurant offers both meat and fish dishes, along with an impressive wine cellar, including a fine Ghemme 2022 from Lorenzo Zanetta in Sizzano (Novara). After two glasses of Franciacorta, we each began with a baked onion stuffed with a cream cheese sauce, sausage, and dry Amaretto di Saronno. We then continued with delicate panciotti stuffed with chanterelle mushrooms and Fontina cheese, served with melted butter and sage, and an onion soup. We then shared a fantastic beef cheek (the meat was incredibly tender, it melted in your mouth!), cooked at a low temperature on mashed potatoes and carrots. Finally, desserts included a delicious Bonet mousse and a delicious crème caramel. A water and two coffees, for a final bill of €181 for two, perhaps a bit steep, but justified by the beautiful location (the indoor dining room is very pleasant in the winter, and the outdoor tables by the lake are certainly incredible in the summer!), and the deliciousness and quality of the ingredients used. Recommended.

We tried creamed cod, onion with toma cheese and sausage, pikeperch with vegetables, cheek with puree, pear, chocolate, and ricotta cake, and bonet mousse. Good portions. The price was in line with the quantity and the location (a tavern on the shores of Lake Orta). The host was friendly and the service professional.

07/12/2025: Elegant, centrally located restaurant, lovely atmosphere, and friendly wait staff. The menu is fairly limited (not a flaw in itself). The veal with tuna sauce is rather tasteless and overly thick. The agnolotti are okay, but rather dry. The pasta with Castelmagno fondue is poorly balanced in flavor: too little Castelmagno, too much duck. The sliced ​​beef is good. Overall, not bad, but fairly mediocre in flavor compared to other restaurants in the center. The prices are not commensurate with the quality.

It's not your typical tourist trap, but an honest restaurant where you eat truly well: if you happen upon it, you're unlikely to be disappointed.

26/07/2025: Me lo encontré en la vía por casualidad pero lo amé. Precio-calidad muy bien. Pedí una carne con grana padana espectacular por 16 euros. Carne muy buena. Buen servicio y lugar muy agradable. Entiendo que es una risotteria pero son buenos en todo. Tendré que volver por el Risotto.

10/07/2025: I risotti sono eccezionali, tutti con ingredienti di alta qualità e cottura perfetta. Ottime anche le crepes salate. Disponibile anche menu senza glutine. Fantastica la maionese alla menta e le grappe. Personale gentile,simpatico e attento alle esigenze del cliente.
