05/11/2025: True hospitality in a small hotel with a big heart. Just 2 km from Stresa, it has parking and a private beach, excellently soundproofed rooms, and a breakfast buffet with homemade pastries, cured meats and cheeses, and freshly cooked eggs. The staff are friendly and professional, both in their welcome, room cleaning, and breakfast service. Congratulations, we'll be back!

09/10/2025: Large room, large bathroom, and large balcony. Clean. Good breakfast buffet. A bit noisy on weekdays, right on the street. Parking is available across the street. Staff and manager are friendly and accommodating. They always try to accommodate. Approximately 2 km to Stresa, not recommended for walking. No continuous sidewalk. Part of the way is on the street.

10/02/2026: Rude owner, despite compliments for one of my mother's dishes, twice failed to provide an answer regarding its preparation. After a long wait (the owner was busy chatting with other guests, oblivious to our wait), we asked for the bill and it wasn't provided. The owner came to our table with a card in hand, ready to collect the money, without giving us any details about what we ordered. Worse still, as we left, he slammed the door behind us without even bothering to say hello. Parking was essentially non-existent. We asked to park in the business's private parking lot, but the owner refused, and we were forced to park far away, causing obvious inconvenience to the women in the car with us. The menu was very limited and with few options; even a simple slice of steak or something simple, which is common to most people, was missing. 5 stars for the rooms because I didn't use them.

22/02/2026: I went for lunch on Sunday. Excellent food, generous portions, and helpful, smiling waitstaff. They cater to intolerances and allergies. Quiet, quiet, and very clean atmosphere. A great lunch! Recommended.

25/01/2026: A pleasant discovery in the center of Alba. A very well-kept and bright restaurant; we were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. The very unique menu draws inspiration from Piedmontese tradition but is heavily influenced by the Neapolitan-born chef, who offers a wide selection of meat and seafood dishes. We opted for an appetizer and a first course each, and were very impressed with the first courses: the top-quality scialatielli and the chittara with snapper, both truly exquisite. The quality/price ratio is average for a restaurant in the center of Alba. Highly recommended.

04/01/2026: What a fabulous experience. My wife picked this place and it was amazing. The chef came out and shaved white truffles on our additions. Very pleasant to staff was fantastic. The dessert were awesome. I highly recommend going.

19/11/2025: The hotel has a great location by the lake, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They're very fond of children and dogs. Our dog was allowed everywhere in the hotel. The small green area by the gravel parking lot is lovely for watching the sunset in the evening. However: the food is way too expensive. The portions are so tiny. €15 for spaghetti with tomato sauce and burrata cheese, and then you get such an incredibly small portion. My partner's meal wasn't much bigger, but it was even more expensive. There are stairs everywhere, which makes it very difficult with a stroller, especially if you want to go to breakfast. Not every baby can sit in the IKEA car seat they offer for that long. Of course, you could leave the stroller in the room, but that's really inconvenient for very young children. Breakfast is the same every single day. And I mean exactly the same. Two or three types of cold cuts, two or three types of cheese, two types of rolls and toast... and the coffee wasn't exactly the best. A shame for Italy... Unfortunately, the dishes were often dirty and the scrambled eggs were often cold. The Wi-Fi in the room was very poor. Streaming was impossible. Which isn't exactly normal in 2022. Not everyone watches ZDF and ARD. The rooms were also very noisy. We prayed every night that our baby wouldn't cry for the sake of the other guests. Luckily, it didn't. Cleanliness was good, so we can't complain about that. The fold-out bed in the room was loose. We only noticed because something fell off and we had to open it. I wouldn't want to sleep on it; it would definitely tip over. Generally, quite a few things were worn or had defects. Regarding the location: if you want to go into town, you have to walk about 200 meters along the road because there's no sidewalk. There is a small strip of grass, but it's no help with a stroller. For cyclists, however, the hotel is a great starting point for a ride around the lake or other routes. ... If you're traveling without a baby and a dog, you can find a few days of peace and quiet at this hotel. Unfortunately, it wasn't for us.

13/10/2025: We visited this restaurant on our way back from a weekend in the Ossola Valley and had a great time. The food was excellent, the service was fast, and the staff were very kind...they even pointed us in the right direction to get home! We enjoyed the appetizers (seafood salad and spinach flan with creamed parmesan), the taiarine pasta with fish ragù, and a mixed fried lake fish dish...all excellent...and the view of the lake!

09/03/2026: We expected a semi-Michelin experience but were badly disappointed. We both got a Chef Menu but the dishes were boring and without the edge and taste experience you would expect from such a place. The pasta dish was downright inedible, the pasta was not cooked enough. Now I am not Italian, so it is fair if the waiter is not strong in English. But none of our dishes were presented properly and the food was almost thrown on the table. The best thing about the evening was the wine list, which is excellent also for the price. All in all, not the experience we had expected from what is considered one of the city's best restaurants.

07/03/2026: I've been to Du Village and I must say it was a wonderful discovery. From the outside, the place seems small and discreet, but as soon as you enter, you realize it's much larger than it appears: a large room that can seat up to 130 people, perfect for groups and events. We had a very good pizza, but browsing the menu, we realized the selection is truly extensive: you can find practically everything here, from A to Z, from traditional cuisine to fresh fish, with specialties like oysters and seafood. The owner has extensive experience in the restaurant business: over 55 years of experience and 38 years of self-employment, and this shows in the organization, the cuisine, and the attention to customers. The place is also ideal for events and celebrations, such as weddings, first communions, baptisms, and parties, thanks to its large spaces and varied menu. We ate very well and were welcomed with kindness. I will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu. 🍕🐟

07/03/2026: I apologize for saying this but when we went to the restaurant it was 12 o'clock I go it's a little early but then they said the restaurant is not open yet because it was written on Google Maps that it opens at 12 o'clock but come on no one cares about that after that they said wait up and we waited for an hour and a half and the service was not that bad but their way of talking was very bad they are very arrogent..meybe they dont like forginer

03/11/2025: I've never stayed here, as I live nearby, but the food deserves five stars: everything (including the stuffed pasta) is always fresh, homemade, and delicious. It's family-run, the atmosphere is informal, and the menu is limited, but varies daily based on the freshest ingredients. Great attention is paid to customer needs and intolerances. The portions are generous and the prices are very fair. In short, a rare find, excellent, and truly authentic osteria.
