You can see a lot of attention to detail, which makes the experience even more special. The only thing I missed was a little more flavor in the dishes: in my opinion, the food could be improved.

06/01/2026: New Year's Eve Dinner Beautiful location in the Langhe; it would have been nice to come in the summer to fully enjoy it. The New Year's Eve dinner was à la carte. We drank several magnums of wine and tried the Piedmontese cuisine. Entrees: goat cheese and truffle tartlets, savory Bacio di Dama with Parmesan and Bra sausage, and mini giardiniera Pumpkin, zampone, and lentil tart with Parmesan sauce Innovative version of veal with tuna sauce Tajarin with ragù, truly excellent and plentiful Double-cooked fillet with exceptional potato chips, very tender meat. Chocolate and salted caramel tart (perhaps the only dish I wasn't sold on this evening) We were offered mandarins, peanuts, and grapes for midnight. Along with the coffee, they served small pastries. All for €85 per person. The staff was fantastic; the young lady was very kind. I would like to come back in the summer.

06/02/2026: Let me preface this by saying... I'm only giving it one star so I can publish this review at all... I would actually give it MINUS 500 stars. This hotel is completely unsuitable for families with dogs, even though it advertises itself extensively online and on-site with "Pets Welcome." Why am I writing this, or rather, warning other families with dogs about this hotel? ... - We wanted to enjoy a nice vacation at Lake Maggiore from June 28th to July 5th, 2025, and booked this hotel based on the promised conditions: * Room/suite with a reserved/private outdoor area (great for us because of our dog and our SUPs) * Direct lake access (great for us, as we know how difficult it is to get to/from the lake with a dog and SUPs otherwise) * Hotel staff who speak German * Hotel parking - We arrived on the afternoon of June 28th, 2025, and what did we find? * Room/suite with a balcony offering no shade for most of the day, instead of the booked room/suite with a reserved outdoor area * Using the direct lake access with our dog was impossible, as we would have had to walk through the pool area, which is generally off-limits to dogs. At reception, we were told to find a suitable swimming spot on the lake by car or on foot. The dog can go in... what? What was the point of booking a hotel with private lake access then? * The dog is not allowed to be left alone in the room/suite at any time, under threat of a substantial fine from reception. This meant that we, as a family, couldn't even go swimming or eat in the hotel restaurant (e.g., breakfast, dinner). One of us would have always had to stay with the dog while the others ate or went swimming. This is not what you expect from a family vacation. * Communication was only possible in English, not German. Luckily, our daughter, with her excellent English, took over. Under these circumstances, we didn't check into the room/suite and left. Unfortunately, we had already paid for the room/suite in full beforehand. We asked the receptionist about a refund, and she told us to contact management. We did so promptly, but so far without success. We haven't received a single cent back to this day, and we can assume that our unoccupied room/suite was promptly re-let during peak season. The hotel owner has clearly double-dived. One thing is certain: we will never return to Lake Maggiore or the Hotel Antico Verbano in Meina, and we absolutely cannot recommend it.

10/01/2026: We waited an hour for dinner....the atmosphere was clean and very simple. The only flaw is that the tables are small, but that's perhaps the art of using limited space to its fullest, and that's to be appreciated. There was no coat rack...in fact, despite the cramped space, we put everything on our chairs...and the women? Who also have bags?...well, what can I say...All in all, it was a feast! And not bad at all. Happy New Year!

08/12/2025: Dinner with relatives, a place they know because they're local. They serve appetizers, first courses, second courses, fried fish, and then pizza. I liked the location, the cleanliness, and especially the menu, with limited dishes (not too extensive), and the speed of service. The pizzas are all pan-fried with the most common toppings. There's a wide and comprehensive wine selection; after all, we're in Dogliani. I had a deviled pizza, with a nice crispy crust. I've heard good reviews for everyone else, especially the mixed seafood platter, which is a great price and plentiful. The only thing I liked about the place is that it didn't absorb much noise, and you had to turn up the volume to be heard.

20/01/2026: Nice place, facing a square where parking is fairly easy. The staff is friendly and the pizzas are very good. I think the seafood dishes are the best, judging from what I saw at other tables. The wait is a bit long, though. Prices are average. Overall, a restaurant/pizzeria worth trying.

27/12/2025: For us, this is one of the best pizzas in the area. The menu also offers a great variety and everything we’ve tried has been delicious. The service is very friendly and welcoming, and in summer the garden is a real highlight. We always enjoy coming back.

02/03/2026: Absolutely fantastic restaurant. If you are skiing in Sauze or Sestriere and are driving back to Turin, I cannot recommend enough. Some of the best pasta we had in a number of years in Italy. Susa is a beautiful town too - really very good.

03/03/2026: I had a really good time on a normal Tuesday lunch. The full menu was €13.50, but it was served as a trio. The salmon pasta was very good, and the salmon was equally delicious. The location looks like it was recently renovated, but it's clean and new. There's plenty of children's equipment and entertainment, so it's not suitable for those looking for a quieter, more peaceful place. Thank you.

04/03/2026: Excellent restaurant in central Turin offering traditional dishes! The veal with tuna sauce was exquisite. The staff was very kind and friendly, with fast and punctual service. The bill was fair.

04/02/2026: The place was packed; we waited a bit before being seated. The desserts were excellent; the homemade cakes were delicious. We tried the chocolate one and the jam tart. Good selection of teas, although many on the list were unavailable. Service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush. :)
