31/12/2025: We happened to be passing by this restaurant and politely asked for a table. We were immediately and without any effort told that it was full and that without a reservation, there was no chance. A few minutes later, we passed by the same restaurant again – and lo and behold: a group of three people asked for a table in Italian, also without a reservation. This group was immediately and easily seated. Coincidence? Absolutely not. It's very clear that we were deliberately turned away simply because we didn't speak Italian – I speak and understand the language. This behavior is simply discriminatory, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable.

06/11/2025: Excellent casoncelli and friendly staff, but 20 for a not-so-large portion is definitely too much.

02/11/2025: Very good pizza and impeccable service. The prices are a bit high, as almost €8 for a dessert seems excessive.

08/05/2025: La comida es muy buena y se obtiene una buena relación calidad-precio, el personal es muy amable. En el lado negativo está la visita. Teníamos una mesa afuera, y había una cola para entrar al restaurante. Los visitantes en la fila nos golpearon con sus bolsas y se inclinaron sobre nosotros para ver el menú en la pared, totalmente sin cortesía ni respeto. Otros invitados que se sentaron afuera aullaban y gritaban. El restaurante es muy concurrido y ruidoso, y hay mucho calor en el interior. Quizás tuvimos mala suerte que citó durante el almuerzo ocupado, pero sigue siendo una pena porque la comida es excelente!

01/05/2025: Almorzamos aquí. El precio de la comida está bien, por dentro hace mucho calor, no hay aire acondicionado. En el y, un restaurante promedio, nada especial.

17/11/2025: A big heartfelt thank you to Adriano for helping us recover our beloved pink bear. He found it, arranged registered mail to send it back to us, and patiently answered all our questions during the 3-week wait. His kindness, care, and dedication truly touched us. We are deeply grateful for everything he has done. In addition, the owner, Andre always make us feel welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast and coffee are the best we have tasted in Como.

20/10/2025: The only good thing about this “hotel” is the location. Rooms outdated but okay for the price, however very cold. On the other hand please avoid this accommodation, the receptionist I assume owner named Silvia wrongfully accused us stealing from the breakfast (muesli bar)😅 then started an argument being quite aggressive and making no solid point which is totally unacceptable as we were paying guests. Only the gentleman at the reception tried to deescalate the situation which made us not to pursue furthermore the situation. This has made such a bad impact on our trip, she was hitting a tone that was derogatory , was pushing the lines of bullying and was far from professional behavior.

21/10/2025: Simple, honest pasta – the aglio e olio and arrabbiata were spot on: good bite, well-seasoned, no fuss, simply delicious. The ambiance is nothing special, but clean, tidy, and with potential for more comfort. Service is friendly and prompt, without being intrusive. Prices are fair for the location. Highly recommended for a casual pasta stop: walk in, grab two plates, water or house wine, and leave satisfied. Those seeking fine dining are better off elsewhere – those seeking honest pasta will find it here.

30/09/2025: One word: Wow! Food: We had dinnere at Sostago and were blown away. The menu has classic italian food bit also with some twists to make it interesting and every dish worked out perfectly. Even the frothy butter that goes with the bread was a highlight. Price wise it was also very respectable. It was among the top dinner I had so far. Location: It begins with the entry to the Villa Sostago. It is a one way street that follows a narrow road through the mountain side with great views on the lake. At the end the old Soatago villa comes into place. We felt straight out from a James Bond movie. Crazy. Inside it follows the theme. The Atmosphere is very welcome and the dining area is super cozy with great views. Great knowladgeable staff. The whole evening was a success!!

13/10/2025: Trattoria San Giacomo is the place you find yourself at after you’ve failed to make dinner reservations elsewhere. The wait isn’t too bad. You are in the prettiest part of Bellagio and they offer pillows that you can sit down on as you wait on the stairs. They try their best to accommodate everyone and the staff is very communicative about timing. The food is not great. Perhaps some dishes are good, but overall not great. I decided to keep it simple—I ordered the pasta dish of the day which was a mushroom pasta and the fresh ricotta and spinach ravioli in sage and butter sauce. The pasta dish with mushrooms was so bad that I had them replace it, which they were kind enough to do with no charge. The mushrooms were boiled, tasteless and soggy. The pasta was served with the boiling water it came with, or that’s what I’m assuming as it was clear and bland. The ricotta ravioli on the other hand was good. Good, but not great. This is definitely a restaurant catered to tourists, which is fine. You’re just not going to have a fantastic meal here.

11/10/2025: We waited in line 45 minutes before they opened as you have to or you won’t get a spot, no reservations accepted. They have cushions you can crab and sit on the steps. Inside they play older American music loudly. Wish they had Italian music, would make for a better ambiance. After we were seated inside a little after 7pm it took 15 minutes to take our drink orders then another 15-20 minutes to get our water and coke delivered. We ordered the salad and soup of the day which were fine after we doused them with salt. We ordered the Osso Buco di Vitelo and the Tagliolini with meat sauce. Both were very bland and had no taste, had to douse them with salt. The beef shank was soft and tasted good after seasoning. The pasta was below average even after seasoning, barely any sauce or meat. Over all disappointed with the experience-this is a very hyped up place and not worth the hoops you have to jump through and time to get in here. We hoped for a better experience, but will not be coming back.

07/03/2026: Average food. The price was excessive in my opinion. 9 euros per person and another 9 euros for each glass of beer is too much for what it offers: an appetizer, a plate of pasta, a bottle of water, and two glasses of beer, totaling over 80 euros.

19/01/2026: We'd been passing Da Annetta restaurant for years, promising ourselves we'd stop in someday. We finally did, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was high-quality, well-prepared, and the service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, and of a high standard. A pleasant discovery that definitely deserves a second visit.

03/01/2026: The food was disappointing, as were the flavours, the quality was poor, and the price was not adequate for the dishes served.

18/01/2026: My partner and I went for lunch; we're Spanish and were treated with considerable disdain. The food was very good, that's not my complaint, but tourists should be aware that they'll treat you with contempt if you don't speak Italian.
