Pozzo American Bar In Pavia

We've been there a couple of times for aperitivo, at different times of the day and at different times. The appetizers are minimal and the cocktails are good. The staff is friendly and, when it's not crowded, quite quick and attentive. When they're not hosting events or parties, the place is practically empty. If you're looking for privacy, it's perfect; if you're looking for a sociable atmosphere, you should only go when they're hosting something.

On a hot summer day, we wanted to have an aperitivo. We wanted something different, and we were impressed by this little place. It was a different kind of aperitivo, always with the same pizzas, cocktails, and a served buffet. The buffet was very good, even including figs and watermelon, and even a whole cacciatorino, all beautifully arranged on a long white plate. You could also choose from a platter of cured meats and cheeses. The cocktails were fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be back if we ever return to Pavia!

Super friendly waiters, life-saving air conditioning, simple but not banal decor. The buffet was very rich in plant-based options (we're vegan), and everything was tasty, well-cooked, and healthy. I had a cocktail called Una cosa buona (A Good Thing) that deserves a special mention. Breathtaking, fresh, and light. Definitely an experience we'll repeat every time we're in Pavia.
