02/05/2026: The pizza was good, but watch out for the extra charge! €1.50 per person!!! I asked for pistachios on my pizza, and I'm still looking for them, they're so tiny!!! On top of that, they charged me an extra €2 for the pistachios, which I think is outrageous! In conclusion, the pizza was good, but they're ripping people off with the extra charges.

08/07/2026: TOP RESTAURANT!!! Exceptional food, our waitress was super nice, kind, and very helpful. It's truly the Portofino atmosphere.

08/07/2026: It was a wonderful evening, we ate very well, the tables outside have a quiet atmosphere, not to mention the service which was very fast and very attentive.

31/05/2026: We went to this restaurant today, well; We'd already forgotten our reservation, so we waited... Then, regarding the food, my ravioli tasted like fish even though it was supposed to be Bolognese... Finally, there were three tables of French people... The father next to us politely asked the man behind us if they could be careful with their cigarettes because there were also children present... At that point, the smoking man became furious, threatening and insulting, as did his wife; they attacked and threatened everyone, even though our table wasn't involved in the initial incident... My brother and father tried to calm things down, but they were shouting so loudly that they made the children cry, but they didn't care, they continued with their threats (of settling scores and death!!!) "You don't know who we are, I'll break a bottle over your head," and the best part, directed at my brother, "There will be two orphans"... The threats and shouting lasted a good 15 minutes, but at no point did the The owner didn't intervene or even seem to care about what was happening... We ate the dessert we'd ordered before the altercation in record time because my nephew was traumatized and wanted to leave as quickly as possible, even though he'd planned to go swimming in the river after arriving... This couple even insulted their mother and mother-in-law, who had also tried to calm them down... So, we left the restaurant and didn't even walk around the area for fear of running into those people... Alcohol (and perhaps other substances) in no way excuses insults, death threats, shouting in a public place with children present, and the owner's failure to assist people in danger...

19/05/2026: If you are staying in Monterosso or even traveling to Cinque Terre, Il Casello is a must visit! We stopped here the first night and were lucky enough to get a table outside without a reservation (definitely call ahead if you can). We were promptly greeted by friendly servers and sat with a spectacular view. Great selection of wine and food. The first night we had the stuffed mussels and then the gnocchi and local fish with lemon sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious! Finished with their house made tiramisu which was spectacular. One of the owners, Jennifer, was so great and made sure that everything was perfect. We came back on our last night because we loved it so much. We had the award wining stuffed anchovies (highly recommend!!) and the octopus ragu pasta and the seafood spaghetti. Again, everything was terrific. You cannot beat the service, the view, and the food. Cannot recommend this place enough! We cannot wait to come back once we are able to visit Cinque Terre again. Thank you Jennifer!

26/03/2026: A great find while passing through Varazze. Nice menu, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The atmosphere inside is calm and pleasant. Excellent service. I'll definitely be back.

22/07/2026: We return to this restaurant every time we're in Liguria. It's one of those places that, once discovered, you can't live without it. The location is meticulously designed, managing to make you feel at home while remaining elegant. Mary's hospitality makes everything even more special. While you enjoy the sea on one side, an imposing rock face surrounds the restaurant on the other. While you enjoy a good glass of wine, chosen from an extensive and interesting wine list, you can savor dishes of indescribable delicacy. They are the result of a cuisine perfectly conceived and created by Chef Giorgio. Furthermore, the freshness of the ingredients and the innovation of the recipes are definitely noteworthy. In short, this restaurant is much more than a must-see destination; it's a true treat.

05/05/2026: I've been several times on different trips and always want to go back. The food is very good, it's very clean (which isn't very common in Italy), and the service is excellent. The price is very reasonable for the quality.

02/06/2026: So, let me start by saying I've eaten at the restaurant before and it was good. This time, I'm getting five pizzas to eat on the beach. Marinara with tuna and onions Red stracchino Capricciosa Margherita + Speak Avio (a €13 pizza from the menu) + Zola Spent €64. I say it's fine to spend €64, but not for the pizzas you see in the photo. The cheese hasn't melted, and few ingredients (the Capricciosa has holes in the toppings, but is that okay? That spiral thing you see is red stracchino; it looks like a piadina covered in cheese and stracchino. The price may be right, but for that price, pizzas should be made well, not like this. In response You cut the pizza, not me. You can also add 5kg of cheese, but if it doesn't melt, it's a problem. I think it's pretty obvious from the photos. I repeat, the price is fine if the pizza is made well. Good luck!

06/06/2026: Don't go there with a child. We received a terrible welcome; we were given a table in the sun with a two-year-old, even though there were tables in the shade available. The waitresses clearly didn't want to serve us.

01/06/2026: In Bordighera Alta, where the setting itself invites you to slow down, La Gritta Bordigotta offers simple, measured seafood cuisine, without unnecessary complications. The menu isn't overwhelming: just a few dishes, well-focused. And for me, that's already a plus. I prefer a short, thoughtful menu to endless ones that often lose the cuisine's identity. I started with the raw fillet of the catch of the day: clean, fresh ingredients, showcased without overshadowing them. A seemingly simple dish, because when working with raw fish, the quality of the fish must speak for itself. And here it does. For my second course, I chose the mupa fillet, prepared with the same logic: linear cuisine, respect for the product, and clear flavors. There's no pursuit of special effect, but rather an attention to the ingredients that is visible and, above all, tasted in the quality of the dish. As a gourmet, I also treated myself to dessert: dark chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream. A delicious, intense, yet balanced finish. A pleasant, yet not overpowering finish. For the pairing, I chose a Greco di Tufo DOCG – Cantine di Marzo dal 1647. A well-structured white wine from Campania, fresh and savory, with a pleasant mineral and citrus note. Cantine di Marzo recommends that this Greco be aged on its lees for at least seven months, which contributes to its complexity and body. With the raw fish and mupa, it proved to be a perfect pairing: upright enough to cleanse the palate, yet with enough substance to accompany the main course as well. Overall, a very pleasant experience: a few dishes, good ingredients, simple yet thoughtful cuisine. One of those tables where you don't feel like the fish is over-interpreted, but rather respected. And for me, when it comes to seafood, that's an important quality.

12/03/2026: We had dinner 2 times out of 4 nights stay. The grilled seabass was my favourite dish. Had seafood risotto and seafood spaghetti both were also very fresh and yummy.

19/07/2026: Loved this place, super friendly staff, nice shady outdoor seating and the drinks we well priced and generous. We were given chips, peanuts and a snack plate with our drinks which was a really nice touch.
