10/06/2025: All good until the sauce accompanying the mixed fried food.. all night with the heaviness of garlic on my stomach. Good job the dining room staff for helping me, but I recommend writing on the menu so that the customer knows what's in the sauce or at least communicating it to the table.

07/06/2025: Polpo Mario is a historic place, full of charm and tradition. The authentic atmosphere is combined with excellent cuisine, where fresh fish is the absolute protagonist. Each dish is carefully prepared and delicious. The staff is always friendly and professional, making the experience impeccable. A must-see for those who love true Ligurian cuisine!

15/05/2025: Good pasta and salads, but nothing exceptional. Young waitresses, but do they know that a smile exists? No empathy: robots. Right next to very, very noisy construction sites. Fair price. In short, just after our lunch, we discovered much more attractive places in the city center with very friendly and smiling people. In the end, if I may be so bold as to advise you to avoid this "tourist trap" where you would have thought you were in France (only French-speaking tables). So, like us, if you're looking for a change of scenery and authenticity, don't make the same mistake. This review is really for advice. Many people like this restaurant, so much the better, but it's not for us and what we were looking for. Thank you and enjoy your meal!

04/05/2025: One of the best fish taverns in Loano, certainly a few steps from the sea, although the external terrace is not directly facing it. For those arriving by car, I recommend parking before the railway level crossing. The seafood salad with artichoke julienne and the potted cod with vegetables are excellent. The manager and chef, who abandoned his profession to realize his dream, knows his stuff. Simple environment, not always cared for: an extra eye would enhance the same dishes better. 16/05/2025: ...fantastico!!!!...best pizza & focaccia...food with passion 🫶 ...if you're looking for the best with/without a lot of fuss and tourist rip-offs, you've come to the right place!...fresh ingredients, oil and wine from the region, absolutely fair prices...can now be found under "RIVA-PIZZARIA" at this location...go there and treat yourselves, Ragazzi!!!

01/06/2025: We had dinner in the internal room, an old-style trattoria that gave us hope but our hopes were soon dashed. Endless waits. Portions that were anything but abundant, spaghetti with clams that tasted of nothing, not to mention the two mixed fried dishes served in the same pot and with three shrimp (there were two of us). The only positive note was the kind girl who served in the room. We were not given a receipt. Never again.

03/05/2025: We were in this cosy restaurant in April 2025, it was a really amasing experience. All staff was very professional, all courses was super delicious. It was my birthday and their surprise with delicious cookies and candles was very satisfying. Probably the best thing in Genova was "The Cook"

28/04/2025: I gave my parents a dinner at "The Cook" restaurant, carefully choosing a specific tasting menu, mainly based on fish, present on the restaurant's website. The experience was a special gift and, considering the significant expense (around 400 euros for two people), I expected the agreed menu to be respected. With great regret I discovered that, at the time of dinner (last Friday), the menu had been completely changed, without any warning. Even today, on the restaurant's official website, the menu I had chosen months ago is online, which can easily mislead those who want to give a precise experience with attention to detail, as in my case. However, I would like to underline that my parents were very satisfied with the quality of the dinner they received, the refined environment and the attentive and professional service. However, I believe it is incorrect and not very transparent not to update the online menu or, at least, not to notify the customer of any changes, especially in a high-end restaurant context where expectations - rightly - are very high. A good experience overall, but with a bitter initial disappointment that could have easily been avoided with a little more clarity.

27/05/2025: Quiet place, far from the usual chaos, very nice and welcoming and very warm and professional staff, the food nothing to say, I took the "zuccotta" spectacular pizza to say the least, very delicate light and tasty, truly spectacular I would have taken another 10. Congratulations really, if I could have left 10 stars I would have certainly done so.

23/05/2025: Stop at the parking lot. You go down a ladder and there is the sea. The little place is very nice. The parking lot near the benches is neglected. Lots of waste of paper, plastic and other. We even threw the pizza box and bottle abandoned on the bench in the bin. The grass is still high. I hope they cut it soon. The parking is paid. Maybe there is a hotel but we haven't been there

22/05/2025: Casi siempre marcamos la opción "Vista Escénica" en los filtros TA, pero se nos permitió elegir durante nuestra visita a la ciudad costera de Camogli, Italia. A menudo nos preocupamos un poco por los restaurantes basados en hoteles que tememos que hayan terminado, con un precio que cubre sus gastos generales extensos, pero Il Doge valió la pena la pequeña prima. Los langostinos a la parrilla eran algunos de los mejores que habíamos probado - condimento encantador, cáscara principal cortésmente quitado, cocinado justo para estar tierno y jugoso. Tenía la pasta de mariscos que era delicioso. Una ventaja adicional era que su terraza tenía toldos y el clima pronosticaba algunas duchas que pasaban por allí. Así que pudimos sentarnos bajo su protección y disfrutar de nuestras vistas panorámicas a pesar de un toque de inclemencias del tiempo.

15/03/2025: Cena meravigliosa . Piatti di un livello altissimo ma con sapori della tradizione . Materia prima di qualità e gentilezza e professionalità anche in sala . Non parliamo della vista che si gode . Felici anche i nostri bambini di 8 e 10 anni che hanno apprezzato sia il menù dedicato a loro che i primi come gnocchi al burro e salvia e trofie al pesto del menù normale . Grazie ci siamo sentiti proprio coccolati .

16/05/2025: Historic restaurant that we are fond of and that we have been frequenting for years in the places located in the square in a very beautiful and cheerful context especially on market days. Courtesy and good and abundant portions at least for the first and second courses based on fish that we usually choose. A suggestion to improve the mixed fried food, the squid are often hard and the bathroom area inside.

16/05/2025: Excellent dinner, 94 euros for two... but they could at least offer a limoncello: the Ligurians would need a collective trip to Greece to understand how to welcome tourists... maybe in the next century they will understand :-)

31/05/2025: Komplett Saniert, das Ambiente perfekt. Liebe zum Detail und der Service auf höchster Stufe. Wir haben das Restaurant 3 mal besucht. Kein einziger Fehler hat sich eingeschlichen. Vom Olivenöl zum Brot bis zum Dessert pure Leidenschaft. Danke für die 3 wundervollen Abende!

20/05/2025: Sono andata con mia figlia durante una mini vacanza a Laigueglia. Abbiamo preso un antipasto tartare di salmone, ottimo e fresco. Mia figlia ha poi ordinato le trofie al pesto, piatto già assaggiato in un altro ristorante il gg prima, ma queste erano veramente di un altro livello. Io ho mangiato i paccheri neri con tartare di tonno, sugo di pomodorini gialli e stracciatella, veramente buonissimi. Personale super cordiale e conto giusto. Se avrò occasione di tornare a Laigueglia sicuramente tornerò anche da loro.

06/05/2025: Excellent catering. For lunch, fixed price menu of the day with different choices of fish or meat dishes. Wide choice of wines. Destination for many workers or holidaymakers. But also of fishermen who take advantage of a break, after a fun morning in the nearby Danilo Ottonello Tourist Reserve, on the Stura. Kindness and courtesy of the staff, with particular attention despite the place being full, as always. Very honest price for the quality of the products.
