Beautiful location and delicious food!

If you are staying in Monterosso or even traveling to Cinque Terre, Il Casello is a must visit! We stopped here the first night and were lucky enough to get a table outside without a reservation (definitely call ahead if you can). We were promptly greeted by friendly servers and sat with a spectacular view. Great selection of wine and food. The first night we had the stuffed mussels and then the gnocchi and local fish with lemon sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious! Finished with their house made tiramisu which was spectacular. One of the owners, Jennifer, was so great and made sure that everything was perfect. We came back on our last night because we loved it so much. We had the award wining stuffed anchovies (highly recommend!!) and the octopus ragu pasta and the seafood spaghetti. Again, everything was terrific. You cannot beat the service, the view, and the food. Cannot recommend this place enough! We cannot wait to come back once we are able to visit Cinque Terre again. Thank you Jennifer!

Seafood spaghetti…INCREDIBLE! The staff is super friendly and accommodating to all our requests. Sea view, quiet area, modern and nautical-themed decor. Pleasant atmosphere. Perfect!

Portions are half on size but same price when compared to others. Dorada was literally hidden under patatoes. Not because of quantity of patatoes, but because of fish size. The frito misto 6 small anchovies, 3 shrimps, and calamari. The positive: location and view.

I went to this restaurant with my husband on Saturday evening. We loved everything about it: the excellent quality of the food and the professionalism and kindness of the owner and the wait staff. Compliments to the kitchen staff. I will definitely be back.

The food was unbelievable, and the atmosphere is spectacular and the view I dont have to say much was just insane. The staff were sooo friendly and niceee. I thought being in a small town english will be a very limited but it was the complete opposite. Will definitely try to come visit again!

Il Castello was hands down our favorite meal in Monterosso! The seafood was unbelievably fresh — My mom had the sesame crusted tuna and I had the sea bass with lemon sauce, and both were absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was beautiful, especially sitting outside with the view, and the staff made the entire experience even better. We originally walked by unsure if we needed a reservation, and Jennifer was so kind and accommodating. She took our name and made sure they could fit us in later that evening at an outdoor table. From there, the service only got better — Jennifer, our waiter, and several other staff members checked on us throughout the night and made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. Could not recommend Il Castello more. In my opinion, this is an absolute MUST when visiting Monterosso. We’ll definitely be back on future trips!

Outstanding experience at il Casello!! We've just returned from Italy and enjoyed one of our BEST meals at this lovely seaside ristorante. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice restaurant with a sea view, excellent value for money, helpful waiters and really great food (I recommend the spaghetti with seafood).
