Beautiful local cuisine, without fuss.
Away from the overly touristy center, where prices are significantly higher.
Be careful though, cutlery costs at €5/pers. A glass of white wine for €9.

Magical place, very kind owner and staff, excellent food and wine, the kids pampered us, both us and the 2 children, refined place but also a bit like home.

AMAZING. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. So authentic and so delicious! Def recommend the lemon chicken and the carbonara. They both taste so good and so fresh.

Had lunch on Sunday, all excellent tagliolini with sublime scampi and perfect spaghetti with clams, the staff were kind and courteous, I don't understand the negative comments on the prices which are normal especially if you think you are eating in Portofino! I'll take for example the tagliolini with scampi, €22 but they have two scampi of excellent quality and only those cost €10 plus fresh pasta etc. I'm speaking as a restaurateur and not like some quaraquaquas
However, highly recommended, if I were to pass through those parts again I would definitely return!

We had a great experience. The service was exceptional —very friendly and attentive!! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy. Beautiful view over water and Portofino. Highly recommend it!

AMAZING lunch by the water. So calm, away from the tacky touristy restaurants in town. This is true Portofino. Quality food at a leisurely pace. I was sad to leave the last time as I knew I wouldn’t be back again until next summer. The pasta with langoustines is incredible.

La costa de Portofino tiene varios restaurantes. La ubicación de Strainer es superior al resto, porque es el único que tiene vista desde enfrente, y a la vez le da el sol. La comida es rica como en toda Italia, y es muy cara como en todo Portofino. Hay que entender que es un lugar muy exclusivo. No es que el restaurante sea más caro que los otros. Está en la media. La atención fue esmerada. Pero la comida no fue de sobresaliente. Subo esta foto para que se entienda el tema de la vista..

Dove mangiare eccellentemente fa rima con tranquillità assoluta. Cullati dal rumore del mare e dai piatti rinnomati del patron Sig.Carmine. Un angolo unico di Portofino dove i taglierini con l'astice non te li dimentichi più, sia per bontà che per quantità.
Tornati più volte con la mia fidanzata Angelica, è sempre stato un successo. GRANDI.

Had the pasta con scampi and it was delicious, my gf had the ravioli a branzino and she really like it as well. We had the polpo con patate and acciughe for starters, both very good.
