09/03/2025: Small and comfortable environment. Satisfying choice of wines... The fusillo with red prawn and the quail are absolutely worth trying. The salmon and tuna tartare were a pleasant discovery. If you pass through Montefiascone it is absolutely worth stopping.

26/02/2025: Oramai una dolce consuetudine il pranzo con gli amici alla Pecora ladra, per non sbagliare il posto giusto dove mangiare.. Ad accompagnarci al tavolo come sempre la padrona di casa Stefania, che ci notizia dei piatti del giorno.
Sotto la sua guida ci facciamo deliziare dalle portate dalle due G..
Genuine e Generose il pranzo è un viaggio sensoriale sublime, ormai la pecora ladra è diventata la nostra casa nella Tuscia.. non ci resta che aspettare la prossima volta.
13/02/2025: A pleasant surprise during a walk in the Viterbo area, a characteristic place embellished by the passion and dedication of the restaurateurs who, with tradition as well as a pinch of innovation, offer dishes of the local seasonal cuisine alongside hamburgers and pizzerias that I have not had the opportunity to try. Excellent fettuccine with artichokes, sublime sautéed chicory that evokes precious memories of grandma's house.. Recommended

02/03/2025: From the starter to the dessert and the wines, even by the glass, everything was really good, a warm and familiar atmosphere, excellent service. Very interesting seasonal menu, hazelnut cake with fantastic zabaglione! Compliments!
16/02/2025: The best meal of your life. Exquisite dishes to say the least. Historic menu since 1895, attention to the territory and the environment, very high quality ingredients. Wonderful place and attentive and welcoming staff. They pampered us from start to finish, advising us in the best possible way. Feeling at home and eating like in a starred restaurant is priceless. We are not from the area but if we were to return, a jump to the summit will not detract from anyone.

08/03/2025: Delicious and quick dishes! Super recommended. Very helpful and courteous staff. Only one negative note spoiled the experience, the owner often shouted at the waiters and aggressively addressed them. I was very sad to see this scene, and the exhausted waitress, almost in tears.

06/02/2025: This place is by far the best value and maybe best food place in town. Staff was very understanding to our American novelties (not being able to speak Italian) and every aspect of the food was perfect. Will absolutely return, probably many times.
04/02/2025: A very nice and welcoming place, it is managed by the good Chef Bandana (Massimo) who is a friendly and efficient person, offering cuisine inspired by local tradition... enriched by some pleasant refinements!
We enjoyed a good appetizer, delicious tonnarelli with red meat and mushroom sauce, an amazing stew, an excellent beef steak and a genuine mixed side salad. We ended the meal with some good tozzetti and coffee. The cost/quality ratio is extremely favourable.
Worth a visit.

08/03/2025: A real gem: exquisite food, refined but familiar atmosphere, fair prices. Lemon tagliolini and Chianina ragù and smoked veal appetizer with divine artichokes. Excellent choice of wines. I wonder how it is possible that a pearl like this is so unpopular. I really can't explain it.
08/03/2025: Una vera chicca: cibo squisito, atmosfera raffinata ma familiare, prezzi equi. Tagliolini al limone e ragù di chianina e antipasto di vitello affumicato con carciofi divini. Eccellente scelta di vini. Mi chiedo come sia possibile che una perla come questa sia così poco popolare. Veramente non me lo spiego.

01/03/2025: Io e mia moglie siamo stati in questo piccolo e grazioso ristorante , arredato con gusto e siamo rimasti felicemente sorpresi sia per le splendide persone che lo gestiscono e per la cucina.
Abbiamo optato per un menù di degustazione di euro 70 ciascuno di 7 portate con piatti eseguiti con maestria lasciandoci sorpresi .
Piatti da consigliare: i carciofi in due consistenze super, zuppa di cipolle migliore di quella francese, la carne eccelsa perché frollata e tagliata a verso in modo da essere più tenera,e il dessert un fantastico zabaione!
Che dire ci avete sorpreso non pensavamo che a Tarquinia ci fosse un locale del genere chapeau.

28/02/2025: I returned to the Taverna after years of absence from Viterbo and, mindful of a very positive memory, I brought several colleagues with me. The place has been renovated and expanded, I still have the memory of the very kind previous owner who always welcomed us with a smile and kindness. Unfortunately the management has changed and with it also the way of welcoming customers. As soon as we arrived we moved the table slightly away from the wall, because the paint was crumbling due to the humidity and we didn't want to get our jackets dirty. We were rudely reprimanded by the blonde-haired waitress. During dinner, with us already seated, she arrives and moves the table again saying that it was crooked, we look at her astonished without saying a word. We ordered some cuts of Black Angus, some weighing 500g. As soon as we started cutting the meat we noticed that it had a lot of nerve filaments and fat inside. I kindly asked them to change the knife. I pointed out that the one they brought me didn't cut either and in response I was told that you can't cut the nerves but you have to fray them. It was almost time for me to be given a lesson in cutting meat, it was the first time I was told that the sinews present in the meat cannot be cut, to justify the problem that the cut brought to the customer was full of sinews and excessive fat (over 200g of the 500gr was fat). Seeing another colleague of mine, who had ordered the same cut of meat and couldn't eat it because it contained more fat than mine, I called the waitress and told her to go to the kitchen and point out that the meat had some problems being consumed and that the cut was evidently very fatty. I asked to tell the chef and I was told "he's busy at the moment, if you want, go and tell him everything". Let's start from good manners, first of all it could have been my daughter and she allows herself to address me firsthand, furthermore I am the customer and I certainly don't go into the kitchen at most the chef goes to the table as soon as it is free and asks what's wrong. Obviously none of this happened, they continued to address us as informal, when we reached the cashier the chef came out of the kitchen and told us that the cuts of meat were all the same. He took a piece of beef loin and exclaimed this is the same as the one you ordered, it's a shame that we ordered Black Angus. In response, I pointed out to him that some cuts of meat can happen with a bit of fat inside but what arrived at our table was truly excessive.
Taking into account that the chef was convinced of his reasons, we settled the bill and wished them a good evening.
I will refrain from reporting the opinions of other colleagues, suffice it to say that they were all negative and they were deeply disappointed.

14/03/2025: We had lunch in this little corner in the heart of the historic center of Viterbo 1 week ago, it seemed for a moment that we were in the heart of Trastevere, with this typical arch at the entrance to the trattoria with a picturesque and historical painting of San Cristoforo, protector of travellers. It was by pure chance that we found the place and found this trattoria. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent and plentiful food, all homemade and fresh, from first courses to dessert.
Definitely worth returning.

Restaurant in the center of Ronciglione. We have
Called to book a table for 10 specifying that there were 3 of us who were vegetarians and we were told that there would be no problem.
Arriving at the restaurant we surprisingly discovered that for the carnival they have a fixed menu of €33 meat and €35 fish, something that had not been specified on the telephone. When, upon our request, we point out that there are vegetarians, they tell us not to worry that they have prepared a menu especially for us too.
I'll summarize the menu:
1 plate of vegetables (chicory, peppers, 1 artichoke, green olives, radicchio). The other diners were served an Italian-style appetizer rich in cured meats, cheeses and bruschetta. For us vegetarians, a side dish of vegetables. When I asked to have some cheese too, they brought us a mozzarella and a thin slice of cheese.
1 tagliatelle with mushrooms
1 second course with artichoke (small) and a few baked potatoes. Our guests ate pork loin with potatoes.
1 tray with donuts and cantucci to share among diners
The vegetarian menu was priced at €32 having in fact eaten a first course
And some side dishes.
Furthermore, the presence of 3 vegetarians was also expressly noted.
If in 2025 you still think of the word "vegetarians" as a simple dish of vegetables that you charge dearly for, imposing a fixed "surprise" menu, you are light years away from real catering.
It would really have been enough to serve an appetizer with mixed bruschetta and cheeses together with vegetables and as a main course a parmigiana/an omelette/a grilled scamorza but it is not possible to serve only vegetables at these prices.
It makes me think that you want to make money by making fun of people.
Personally, I never set foot there again.

Ristorante in centro a Ronciglione. Abbiamo
Chiamato per prenotare un tavolo per 10 specificando che eravamo in 3 ad essere vegetariani e ci viene detto che non ci sarebbe stato alcun problema.
Arrivati al ristorante a sorpresa scopriamo che per il carnevale fanno menù fisso di carne 33€ e di pesce 35€, cosa che telefonicamente non era stata specificata. Quando su nostra richiesta facciamo presente che ci sono vegetariani ci dicono di stare tranquilli che hanno preparato un menu appositamente anche per noi.
Vi riassumo il menù:
1 piatto di verdure (cicoria, peperoni, 1 carciofino, olive verdi,radicchio). Agli altri commensali è stato servito un antipasto all’italiana ricco di salumi formaggi bruschette. A noi vegetariani un contorno di verdure. Quando ho fatto richiesta di avere anche noi qualche formaggio ci hanno portato una mozzarellina e una fettina di formaggio sottile.
1 tagliatella ai funghi
1 secondo piatto con carciofo (di piccole dimensioni) e poche patate al forno. I nostri commensali hanno mangiato arista con patate.
1 Vassoio con ciambelline e cantucci da condividere tra commensali
Il menù vegetariano è stato prezzato 32€ avendo di fatto mangiato un primo piatto
E dei contorni.
Inoltre era stato anche fatto espressamente notare la presenza di 3 vegetariani.
Se ancora nel 2025 alla parola “vegetariani” pensate ad un semplice piatto di verdure che fate pagare anche a caro prezzo, imponendo un menù fisso “a sorpresa” siete lontani anni luce dalla vera ristorazione.
Sarebbe bastato davvero servire un antipasto con bruschette miste e formaggi insieme alle verdure e come secondo una parmigiana/una frittata/una scamorza alla griglia ma non è possibile servire solo verdure a questi prezzi.
Mi viene da pensare che vogliate guadagnarci prendendo in giro la gente.
Personalmente non ci metto più piede.

23/03/2025: For 3 years now, when I am in Bolsenai, I have been eating at this place.
Beautiful restaurant, well-furnished, applause to whoever chose the wallpaper.
Service, staff always friendly, cordial and knowledgeable.
Excellent food, rich and varied cutting board, special mention for the bread with chicken liver paté, exquisite seafood arancini with tomato mayonnaise.
Tasty first course, both the maltagliati with artichokes and bacon and the tagliatelle with Cinta Senese ragù.
Dessert, well-made both the crema catalana and a reinterpretation of tiramisu with a maritozzo base and pistachio flavor.
Value for money, nothing to say.

18/03/2025: Excellent cuisine with a menu that ranges from meat to fish without forgetting pizzas. Suitable, therefore, for all needs.
I tasted some excellent crostini with porcini mushrooms (a real delight for the palate) and a chickpea and chestnut soup, truly delicious.
A glass of red wine.
Then a dessert that opened the palate: chestnuts drowned in rum with whipped cream, amazing!
Finally a bitter.
I spent 37 euros, for the quality and quantity it is a fair price.
