10/05/2025: I travel all over the world. I know good food. I know good restaurants. I also know when people lie and are honest. My hotel recommended I eat here and they made the reservation for Saturday at 8:00 PM. From the moment I arrived I felt "rushed'"; this despite the place was empty. Several of the appetizers I asked for were not available. That happens. I ordered grilled Belgian Endive. It was really execellent. For my main course I selected rabbit with olives and rosemary. It was truly superb. For my last course I ordered Scarmoza with prosciutto and radicchio. It arrived without the radicchio. When I inquired, I was told it was a mistake and they would fix it. The next dish arrived but it came with same endive eaten before and not radicchio. The manager then tried to tell me that what was in my plate was not endive but ''"white" radicchio. How insulting! I am 75 years old and have seen a lot but this brazen lie sent me over the top. I left after paying 50 euros and vowed never to return. The restaurant is physically lovely. The food is good but deception and lieing is unforgiveable. They offered me a free dessert which I declined. Do not treat me like a fool. You need to be honest. This is a problem in Italian society. I do not recommend this eatery to non Italian diners.

03/03/2025: Esperienza negativa! In coppia, siamo rimasti entrambi delusi dal servizio e insoddisfatti dalla qualità, soprattutto in rapporto al prezzo che si paga. Non tornerò e non lo consiglio.

29/05/2025: In principal ok-ish, though internet photos and reality do not match. But there are youth boistering about downstairs at the restaurants until waaay past midnight, which makes sleeping with open windows de facto impossible. "Suite" access unsuitable for people with impaired mobility. Parking is public only which can be an issue.

03/05/2025: The experience was quite positive. Quiet and populated area, overlooking the lake where you can walk and find places to have aperitifs and dinners. The issue of parking is problematic as there is no reserved space, however it is possible to request a resident pass from the staff to enjoy a discounted rate. Room a little different from the impression given by the photos on booking but clean and with well-functioning air conditioning. It would be advisable to increase security by installing more secure doors. All in all a positive experience but the cost was a little excessive for the service offered. Friendly and helpful staff.

04/04/2025: Update 2025: Restaurant closed for some time. Premises for sale. ---- A piece of Sardinia in Rome Tuscolana. The Ravioli stuffed with grouper or sea bass seasoned with bottarga and courgettes are phenomenal... The soup with Sardinian fregola and seafood is another excellent alternative. Owners always kind and helpful. Leave some space at the end of dinner for a sebadas :)

09/03/2025: Sono venuto a Roma con degli amici per fare una vacanza, erano circa le 13:30 quando siamo arrivati e alle 13:40 hanno preso i nostri ordini, subito dopo ci hanno portato l’acqua senza che la avessimo ordinata; dopo 30 minuti hanno portato il cibo e le bevande e fino a lì tutto ok; una volta finito di mangiare siamo andati a pagare, io avevo preso una carbonara a 9,90€ e una cola dove non c’era scritto il prezzo, ero sicuro che sarebbe costata un rene; siamo andati a pagare e ci hanno dato lo scontrino “95.30€”! Siamo rimasti tutti stupiti, avevamo ordinato: 2 carbonare 19.80€, 1 pizza margherita 11.90€, acqua (non ordinata) 4.50€, 1 cola e una fanta in tutto 12€, gnocchi 15.90€. In tutto 64.10€ + 14€ di coperto E 17.20 SOLO DI SERVIZIO!!!!, ci hanno messo 3 ore per portare il cibo e in più ci hanno fatto pagare un rene. ESPERIENZA ORRIBILE!

09/03/2025: Cibo molto buono, ci siamo trovati molto bene. Peccato che ci abbiano addebitato il 22% sul totale di servizio al tavolo.non era previsto nel menu e non era scritto esplicitamente. Ci siamo trovati un po’ fregati. State attenti quando pagate.

16/05/2025: the place is also nice but a small margherita pinsa like a pizza costs 12 euros and it's not even that magical. Also a single coke in a glass costs 5 euros. it's inconceivable that I have to bring 17 euros for a small margherita pizza and a small coke

11/05/2025: They charged us more than what was on the menu, and when we said so, when we went back to the menu, they had changed the price. Regrettable treatment, they have charged us all more than what they said. There was no atmosphere, the music was very loud and the service was 0. I don't recommend coming at all.

21/02/2025: Il cibo è ottimo…cucinato con materie prime freschissime e soprattutto con tanto amore dalla bravissima Patrizia. L’accoglienza della dolcissima Sabrina e del bravissimo Andrea rendono il tutto ancora più speciale. Questo locale ci ha colpiti e se volete rigenerarvi dallo stress quotidiano dovete venire ASSOLUTAMENTE. A presto ❤️

29/05/2025: We waited for the food for a very long time. A waiter who I guessed was Bangladeshi did not care at all. He was very disrespectful. The glasses were dirty. We wanted to change them and he was very disrespectful. We paid and left without eating the food because of this waiter. He treats customers badly. We told the chef about this situation. I hope he quit his job.

22/05/2025: Two of us went for lunch today. Very quiet, just us and one other person. Good and friendly service. The place was great. We ordered water, a salad, carbonara pasta, garlic and cayenne pasta, and a homemade tiramisu to share. Good. The tiramisu was very sweet for me, but I prefer savory food. The service was fast, helpful, and pleasant. It cost us €30. The only drawback: They don't accept credit cards.

Delicious pizzas with quality products that recall the ancient flavors of the past. The restaurant has a wide choice of Roman dishes on the menu. In a panorama of gastronomic offerings that increasingly push customers to discover sometimes unthinkable combinations, tradition wins here and succeeds very well. The innkeeper is truly the guardian of our taste. The pizzas are excellent and perhaps this is one of the few restaurants that still makes them Roman style, I feel like saying, hurray! that is, low and very light which makes you want to do it again while remaining very digestible. The classic and timeless tomato bruschetta is delicious, as is the focaccia with Parma and buffalo mozzarella. Zucchini flowers pizza with anchovies simply irresistible, tasty and cooked to perfection. Exceptional tiramisu, never tasted so good in a restaurant. La Baita since 1980, is the true history of catering, not entrepreneurial improvisations destined to appear and then disappear like the trends of the moment. An address to recommend and share with relatives and friends and for those who wish to taste the ancient flavors of tradition seasoned with the tenacity and love of those who have decided to dedicate their lives to catering. Listening to the memories of the managers is a romantic dive into the past, the Rome of the past, beautiful and damned. Welcoming environment with industrial references, quick and attentive service. Absolutely honest prices, time stopped in via Lucania 11a and we with it.
