The old grotto has been delighting us with its specialties for years... thanks to Ernesto, who is always available and attentive to his customers, it's as if he were welcoming us into his home every time... the pizza is truly delicious, as only you know how, and the place is very well-kept, welcoming, and charming... I recommend everyone to come here...

20/10/2025: We ordered the burrata dish with prosciutto. The portion of ham was quite small compared to the amount of burrata, which made the dish feel unbalanced. What really affected the experience, was the atmosphere. The staff kept looking at us in a way that made us feel rushed. As soon as my partner took the last bite, the plate was taken away while we were still chewing. Overall, the food was fine, but the service made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

05/10/2025: We had pizzas for dinner at the campsite restaurant because we were tired. They were good, but nothing special.

15/12/2025: As soon as you enter, you immediately feel at ease in this beautifully furnished Sicilian-style building. The dining room is spacious, bright, and quiet. It's a shame about the plastic tables and chairs, which, while beautiful, clash with the luxurious atmosphere. The food is truly excellent, both in flavor and presentation. We tried the appetizer, first course, and dessert and were satisfied with everything, even the service was very attentive. The only downside is the price: for a lunch consisting of an appetizer, two first courses, a dessert, and water, we paid over €80.

14/12/2025: I would have given -0 because the owner isn't very fair. I had booked three weeks in advance to be sure of getting a seat. Toward the last few days, the restaurant changed my reservation from 9 pm as planned, moving it to 7 pm. In that case, we spoke to the restaurant on the phone about canceling the reservation. In the afternoon, they called me back to tell me they had managed to move it from 7 pm to 9 pm. Of course, I was happy. THE GOOD THING IS TO COME 😡. Yesterday we went to the restaurant. I picked up the phone and saw that they had changed the THEFORK discount percentage from 40%, which was supposed to be 30%... at that point, tired of this whole situation, I canceled the order. Then the restaurant sent me a message, insulting me and wanting to be right 🤦‍♂️. Then, reading other reviews, I saw that it's a bad habit that I have!!! ((Lies have short legs)) ([Smart Guy]]🤔 The only unprofessional thing is that the restaurateur always finds excuses to justify himself, instead of saying SORRY!!!, as he replies in all the reviews and I'm sure he will do the same here.......

23/08/2025: The best trattoria in Rome, just like it used to be. Traditional Roman dishes, generous portions, cooked with skill and love by the great Loreto. Thank you for the wonderful stories you told me, which I could still hear while you were telling them, and I watched you in amazement, and for the evenings spent at the restaurant with my family. I loved the seafood pasta dinner, the appetizer, and the ice cream and tiramisu dessert… Franco was very professional, polite, and smiling; honestly, the best waiter and service I've ever experienced. 05/12/2025: My carbonara wasn’t just swimming in sauce it was drowning in it. Plus the sauce was not equal to others I have had. I love CARBONARA but this wouldn’t make my top ten list. The waiter was nice. He did ask me why I hand eaten the bacon. Well, it just wasn’t right for me. You on the other hand might like it. They had indoor and outdoor seating. The hostess was nice. They did have a nice wine selection. The name IL VINETO means the vineyard.

12/05/2025: Negli anni ci sono stata più volte e mi è sempre piaciuto, ieri sono rimasta molto delusa. Servizio totalmente disorganizzato: i camerieri che non sapevano dove portare i piatti, il vino l’abbiamo dovuto chiedere 3 volte e dopo aver chiesto di metterlo in ghiaccio non è stato fatto. Abbiamo preso i primi di pesce che erano un lago di olio all’aglio e basta (allego foto di quelli che dovevano essere spaghetti con vongole). Mi dispiace molto, ma è un grande no.

12/05/2025: Siamo venuti in questo ristorante per cena. Già all' entrata ci siamo trovati molto bene, il posto è luminoso e molto accogliente. Gli ordini sono arrivati e subito e nonostante abbiamo ordinato 5 piatti diversi, ce li hanno portati tutti insieme. I camerieri sono molto gentili e il cibo è molto buono. Consiglio.

15/12/2025: We were sold a dream based on the photos when we booked through a private sale site, but what a disaster! The hotel is in a state of disrepair that is truly unworthy of a 4-star rating. We had two rooms, each with its own set of flaws: an unlocked door leading from the toilet to the balcony of the neighboring room, and the windows weren't one-way mirrored; a magnificent view of a metal stairwell from which the rooftop parties echoed until late at night; Scotch tape in the bathtub in one room and a faulty toilet in the other; and a constantly noisy air conditioner, which was surprising given the intense heat in the rooms (unbelievable for December). €10 tourist tax per person per night is simply highway robbery considering the poor quality of the services. The only redeeming feature is the location; the rest is a complete rip-off.

15/12/2025: We booked the Junior Suite, but unfortunately, it differed significantly from the pictures on the website. It was very noisy, both from neighboring rooms and the hallway. The toilet seat was loose, the bathtub leaked, and water spilled onto the floor. The carpet was stained. The walls, ceiling, and lamps gave the impression of having been renovated by an amateur handyman. Missing towels were only provided after we pointed them out twice, and the lobby was unreachable by phone. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and the staff there were friendly. The view from the rooftop terrace was fantastic, and the location was perfect. The contents of the minibar are included in the Junior Suite. All in all, a great location (for which the current owners can hardly be held responsible) and good food, but the room was a complete disappointment. Three stars if you're being generous.

07/12/2025: What can I say! I've come here 1 or 2 times in the evening and I've always paid €8 for drinks. Today I came to have a simple drink that cost €10, not even in Prati does it cost that much, and with things bought from Conad, zero quality, never again.
