06/01/2026: We recently left the farmhouse....I think 5 stars are too few, they deserve 10!!! Mrs. Piera is an exceptional person in the way she carries out her work, attentive and available, she welcomes and meets all the needs of the customer with care and also her kind way of being makes her unique. Salvatore's cooking is excellent, he too is super attentive and very good... Exquisite cured meats and cheeses, like the jam of their production, the tomato puree... the first and second courses... truly everything is delicious! You experience a homely, relaxing atmosphere and then the place is surrounded by greenery, in true nature and the children have a wonderful experience. The rooms are welcoming and very clean... I could really go on forever because there are only positive words and thoughts. We will definitely be back, thanks Piera and greetings from Michele, Giulia and Leonardo

03/01/2026: Our second stay, for three nights, at this agriturismo immersed in greenery and tranquility. A sincere thank you to Piera and her husband Marco, her brother Salvatore, and their parents AnnaMaria and Nicola, who truly made us feel at home. A further thank you to Piera for her advice and helpfulness, who went out of her way to accommodate our requests and needs. Warm regards also to the lovely "Befana," "Pipa," and everyone we met during this pleasant stay, which included excellent breakfasts and a New Year's Eve lunch featuring local, zero-mile products.

15/02/2026: It's the restaurant owned by the owners of our accommodation in Maestri. We only had two appetizers because we have to travel back up north. But the quality of both dishes was exceptional. Not to mention the menu, which is simply heavenly, and which we hope to have other opportunities to try.

11/11/2025: My fiancé and I visited here on our last night in Matera. A lively atmosphere & good selection of cocktails. Food was also delicious, Italian with a modern twist. Our waiter Casio was a great host, he spent time talking to us and made us feel extremely welcome!

23/10/2025: An atypical venue, with unique and truly sophisticated decor. The furnishings and details are very unique. It's now a regular stop in Matera. The cocktails are good, as is the food, and reasonably priced. The staff is courteous and very helpful.

22/10/2025: A meticulously maintained setting in the heart of the Sassi di Matera. Authentic cuisine, with thoughtful reinterpretations that don't distort the essence of tradition. A top-notch wine list. And a special mention to all the staff, all extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

15/03/2026: The place looks good. Renovated and well-maintained. In my opinion, the positives stop there: the food and experience weren't up to par. They fed us in 25 minutes, with the appetizer decidedly bland, one of the first courses too salty, and the second course too garlicky. There are definitely better options in Matera.

Dishes from the Matera cuisine, including the Taccardi family's famous pasta, amazed us with its consistency and intensity! Knowledgeable staff and excellent hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates the quality of Made in Italy products. Excellent value for money. I hope to have the opportunity to return.

28/02/2026: I went to this restaurant with friends. The owner is a wonderful person, and we had a wonderful meal. The appetizers were sublime, especially the pumpkin pie and bread meatballs. The first courses were excellent. Highly recommended.

12/01/2026: I went for lunch and it was a truly special experience. The restaurant is charming, carved into the Sasso, and exudes a unique historical atmosphere. There's also an ancient olive oil mill inside, almost like visiting a museum, which makes it all the more fascinating. We ate grilled meat, which was simply delicious: perfectly cooked and excellent quality. The food overall was exceptional. The staff deserves a special mention: very kind, welcoming, and always available. An experience I highly recommend to anyone visiting Matera.

05/01/2026: I used to come to this restaurant every two years or so. I've always considered it a tourist hotspot, but it's a good compromise. Unfortunately, today I was only able to observe inside (due to the lack of price display outside) that the menu has undergone an excessive price increase; there's no entree under €14. I find the menu priced for an empty plate for €1 unfortunate. I had a brief discussion with the manager or owner about the matter. She politely explained the reasons for the price increases. We realized we had different views, and I changed locations where I could enjoy a similarly high-quality meal at a lower price, along with a high-end restaurant setting. From my limited experience in the industry, I would recommend adjusting the offerings to meet demand to best market the excellent cuisine this restaurant offers.

08/03/2026: Breathtaking and enchanting venue, very polite, friendly, and helpful staff. The food was also delicious, including a very tasty cured meats appetizer and a delicious pizza. Everything was superb.

14/02/2026: Great experience, delicious appetizers, especially the fried ricotta with caramelized onion and turnips. Everything was perfect, even the first courses. Welcoming place, friendly, helpful staff. If you're in Matera, go there. Prices are average.

08/02/2026: Came for a nice dinner at 8pm and we were met outside by a nice waiter with a wonderful mustache! He brought us inside and we were given a nice table for 2. Amazing cave-like atmosphere. We had 3 people taking care of us. A beautiful lady (could be owner) explained the wines and we order a nice dry red from her recommendation. Another waiter opened and poured our vino and it was perfect. Then our mustached friend took our order. Started with a nice buffalo margarita pizza - cooked to perfection and delicious! Main course - papparadelle (a bit more narrow than usual) ai fungi porcini- amazing and tasty!!! Also had chittarra ai ricci spaghetti (square) with fresh clams and a sauce that was out of this world!! Finished off with a nice pistachio gelato! All in all a first class A-rated experience!! Molte Bene!! Gratzie!!!!!

08/03/2026: The cafe in Matera had a great local atmosphere. The atmosphere was very pleasant, authentic and we felt very comfortable there. The coffee was excellent and the service was nice and helpful. It is an ideal place to take a short break and enjoy the real Italian atmosphere. I definitely recommend visiting.
