24/04/2025: La cucina è veramente sublime, i piatti ben eseguiti, da non perdere il Manouri con i fichi caramellati e il loro Polpo! Il vino? Incredibile! La selezione è vasta e i proprietari sono esperti e passionali. Ma ciò che rende questo posto veramente speciale sono i proprietari stessi: gentili, accoglienti e con un gusto impeccabile nell'arredo. L'atmosfera è piccola e dunque calda e invitante, perfetta per una serata speciale o semplicemente per godersi una cena. È un'esperienza che vi lascerà con il sorriso e la voglia di tornare presto. Cinque stelle senza dubbio!

21/04/2025: We had lunch here on Easter Monday. The little place is really very welcoming and the service is hospitable and fast. The food was delicious, of excellent quality and of a unique freshness, characteristics that are very difficult to find today. We were very happy.

26/05/2025: Excellent service, food and atmosphere. The staff members are super kind and take good care of every guest’s needs. If we ever get the chance to go back to Matera, we will definitely go back to Regiacorte. We got the cosiest panoramic view to the city and the highest quality of service.

27/04/2025: Local in the historic center of Matera. Outside seating. An interesting menu with a wide choice of dishes and not just wraps. Good raw materials, well cooked dishes and wraps. Artisanal piadinas that are really light and digestible. The piadinas are also well seasoned!! Good service, the waitress super attentive and kind. The owner is an affable and customer-focused person. Average prices for the place where it is located. There's a few euros more. I recommend it to everyone for a quick stop without weighing you down to continue exploring Matera and its beauties!!

04/06/2025: Great view, service was okay, but food wasn’t worth its price by far. Main dish was okay but the soggy potatoes offered on the side were nothing I’d ever pay for. Enjoy the view while having a drink and invest your money somewhere else.

04/05/2025: This restaurant deserves a Michelin star just for the environment alone if that was possible. Well combine that with wonderful food and service and that could be a possibility. I won't go through our food selections (4 couples) but needless to say we all enjoyed our various courses.

01/05/2025: The food was really very good, but the service, especially the manager or head of the room, was very unfriendly from the beginning. We waited 1 hour between the first and the second and the manager, instead of apologizing, responded rudely to our request and made the absurd excuse that the restaurant was full and they only had one kitchen. Regrettable.

09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!

02/03/2025: The food was magnificent. Chef Pepe was a very good chef. It is gourmet food and should be a five star restaurant. I would highly recommend it.

20/03/2025: We went with a group of friends, spectacular location and very clean environment. The seafood dishes are simply exquisite, I recommend trying this restaurant and you certainly won't regret it!

14/10/2024: Excellent cuisine, fresh and well-made fish. Courteous staff and panoramic view. Prices are adequate for what you eat, perhaps the desserts cost more than I would have expected but it's still worth it. The only downside is the service which is slightly slow but we will definitely return for the quality we found

A menu divided into two categories of dishes, traditional or contemporary, each offering well-served and tasty dishes, especially the local specialties that aren't to be missed. Also noteworthy is the extensive pizza menu. The welcoming, efficient, and fast service make it well worth the detour.

19/05/2025: A great restaurant with very friendly service and delicious food. The starter and main course were excellent. We visited in mid-May. We got a seat on the roof terrace without a reservation. The view was beautiful. Highly recommended. Great prices for the location and quality.

18/05/2025: Excellent restaurant in the heart of Matera with a great view if you are lucky enough to eat on the terrace. Possibility of a fixed menu at a cost of 25 euros, quite abundant and varied. Recommended

18/05/2025: Restaurant with a wonderful view despite it being Sunday they were immediately ready to welcome us by giving us a place on the terrace polite staff friendly and fast excellent food full of traditions every time I go to the sassi of Matera it will be my fixed stop I recommend it compliments.
