31/08/2024: Unique experience, excellent quality food, courteous and attentive staff to fulfill every wish. Dream locations, immersed in the Sassi of Matera in an almost surreal atmosphere. In short, if you want to take a step back in time, between tradition and excellent cuisine, you must try the new management of the Botteghe.

31/08/2024: After a splendid visit to the Sassi of Matera, we stopped in front of "Le Botteghe". Super welcome, lovely place and excellent menu. The service was very pleasant, the wine recommended to pair with an excellent meat dinner, the staff were well-trained and truly disarmingly courteous! It was an extremely pleasant dinner, in a "magical" context and we left very, very satisfied! If we were to return to Matera, Le Botteghe will definitely be an obligatory stop! Alexei.

06/12/2024: The friendly waiter, very good reception and attention. Pastas poorly executed, cooked. Past on point. The pomodoro sauce looked like it was from a supermarket. It felt like it was not an Italian recipe. To improve 🙌🏻

03/12/2024: Beautiful place in the center of the Sassi di Matera, we tried almost all the appetizers and they were better than the other, not to mention the orecchiette with turnips. All made better by the company and service of the boy present that evening!

14/11/2024: While passing through Matera we wanted to find a place where our celiac daughter could eat. We took takeaway pizzas (by weight) and we were not disappointed... Incredibly tasty!!!

06/11/2024: TO AVOID. We order takeaway pizzas and he prepares them for us when we pick them up, waiting more than 30 minutes. He slowed down a birthday. WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT RESPECT. Plus the pizzas weren't even fully cooked. BAD.

24/08/2024: Nice park ideal for adults and children. Various activities from morning until evening. Fun from times gone by. From the puppet theater the exciting and cultural show of the ancient art of falconry and finally the cinema theater of brigandage.

The fresh ingredients really make the difference, and you can feel it in every bite. Excellent value for money for a culinary experience that I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates good food.

24/11/2024: Sunday lunch in this very nice and welcoming tavern. Friendly and helpful owner, food excellent, as is the presentation of the dishes, beautiful to look at, as well as good. Even for children, who do not eat more particular foods, the chef allows them to choose between different options. The veal cutlet is excellent, freshly made, instead of the usual frozen chicken cutlet. This is a plus for me.

28/10/2024: Vorremmo complimentarci con lo chef e la sua brigata di cucina ,per lo splendido pranzo che ci ha servito,in occasione di un evento in loco.Esaltando il gusto e le tradizioni lucane ,con materie prime di qualità .Ottimo agriturismo immerso nel verde ,per chi vuole ritagliarsi momenti di puro relax.

19/10/2024: Sehr gutes Essen in traditionellem Ambiente. Die abgeschiede Lage in einem großen Buchenwald ist ein weiteres Plus. Sehr freundliche Bewirtung. Kommen gerne wieder.

20/10/2024: Siamo stati indirizzati a questa struttura da una nostra cara amica. La location stupenda, vicino al centro storico, l'ambiente accogliente e altrettanto i proprietari con tutto lo staff gentili e attenti al cliente. Abbiamo scelto menù di pesce con immensa soddisfazione posso dire che tutte..e dico tutte le portate erano ottime e di qualità. Peccato non c'erano disponibili i ricci di mare. (Motivo per ritornare 😉). Consigliati dal maitre, si è iniziato con degustazione di crudi e di cotti..le ostriche Gillardeau sublimi! Per continuare con i primi "Scialatielli ai frutti di mare" per finire al secondo "spigola al forno con patate" e "baccalà con peperoni cruschi"(forse su questo unica attenzione, il peperone non era molto croccante ed il baccalà poco saporito). Il prezzo a nostro modesto parere è onesto..se ben vuoi mangiare! Per noi è approvatissimo e lo consigliamo..e sicuramente ci ritorneremo. Ringraziamo tutto lo staff e vi auguriamo buon lavoro!

27/08/2024: Very courteous and friendly staff. Requests always satisfied with great ease. Excellent cuisine and some dishes are found in local cuisine. Eating on the terrace, with that view of the stones, is priceless. At the end of dinner, to finish, visit the cellar with photos and historical finds of the place.

26/08/2024: We hadn't booked and they rightly had to give us a table out of the way. Then due to cancellation of a reservation They gave us a table in the front row (very kind they could have cared and instead..), therefore a table with a view. Very kind, smiling and friendly waiters, I can only give a positive comment. Excellent food.

23/11/2024: An evocative place that recalls a vessel, particular and characteristic but also refined. Exquisite food, of excellent quality, between tradition and innovation. Nice for a romantic dinner rather than an evening with friends. From pizza to cod passing through peperpne crusco. A characteristic element of Lucanian cuisine that we find from appetizers to desserts. The burnt wheat bread baked by them is also delicious and fragrant. A well-stocked wine cellar. Also highly recommended for celiacs.
