25/03/2025: We discovered this fantastic restaurant on Saturday for lunch with friends.........A combination of refinement, raw materials and preparation by the chef and the wisdom in the narration of the courses and in the wine recommendations by Salvatore make the experience and the place unique in the area. Quality and tradition come together in a marriage of harmonies for the palate that evokes the past and tradition of Lucania, allowing you to immerse yourself in a journey (tasting exceptional appetizers) of superlative food and wine. An experience to try and I recommend it to anyone who is in the area.

03/01/2025: I have no words to describe the evening spent here. I am writing on behalf of three people: myself and two friends. We were welcomed in a masterful way, Luigi and Sisina opened the restaurant for us even if we were alone. They fed and entertained us all evening. I heartily recommend the recipes with bran peppers. It is now rare to find places like this, where catering is seen as a profession that is a source of pride. Highly recommended to anyone who will have it lucky to enjoy this place before it (alas) closes soon.

29/12/2024: Popular and rich cuisine, competent and courteous staff, well-equipped and comfortable environment, the only flaw was that I couldn't watch my Bari match on TV.

01/02/2025: Meravigliosa scoperta! Location molto curata ed accogliente, servizio perfetto, chef superlativa!! Abbiamo pranzato benissimo e concluso in bellezza con dolci squisiti, caffè ed amaro delizioso. Sicuramente da rivisitare per gustare il restante menu

07/01/2025: In un borgo davvero suggestivo con una Cattedrale nota ed effettivamente da guardare in ogni suo angolo, il ristorante offre una cucina da sapori delicati in piatti curati e soprattutto originali. Antipasti di pesce e monti davvero non comuni. I primi e i secondi, sempre abbondanti, esaltano una cucina che innova bene la tradizione. Alla fine tutto leggerissimo.. complimenti!

23/02/2025: Che dire .. siamo stati oggi a pranzo.. ottimo ristorante.. locale tranquillo, accogliente.. il cameriere gentilissimo, Andrea ottimo cuoco e Giusy ottima padrona di casa.. pronti ad ascoltare e a soddisfare ogni richiesta .. lo consigliamo davvero a tutti..

18/02/2025: I was there last Sunday. Andrea immediately put us at ease and we let him advise us. Appetizers by the mile. 0 superlatives, fusilli with crusco pepper and caciocavallo pouring, sliced, melting in the mouth and sweet with a chocolate centre. A nice experience. I recommend it to you.

24/03/2025: Filosofia Slow Food rispettata: location bella a ridosso dei Sassi, pulita, salumi, formaggi, pasta e condimenti tutto di ottima qualità (una menzione particolare per la costata che non ha nulla da invidiare a quelle fiorentine); piatti della tradizione con tocchi di originalità che arricchiscono ma non stravolgono le aspettative; cantina ben fornita; personale gentilissimo e servizio perfetto. Prezzo adeguato. Quindi...buono, pulito e giusto.

02/04/2025: Excellent pasta dishes with salami, cheese and local vegetables, not only the wine, very simple and genuine from the Matera and Lucanian tradition, with a fixed menu or à la carte. Both the service and the place are good.

31/03/2025: Excellent restaurant in the center, welcoming and very kind staff. Tourist menu at a very competitive price, today as dish of the day I was able to choose an excellent legume soup with cardoncelli mushrooms and an excellent meat stew. Highly recommended.

15/03/2025: Food very bland. We tried several dishes (carbonara, brusquetta, lasagne, second set and vegetable soup. We definitely do not recommend it. A plus for the atmosphere, but that's only one plus of this place. We subtract points for the service because the gentleman forgot about one dish that we didn't get at all.

17/02/2025: Unfortunately we only found the rudeness to be gargantuan. Having arrived on site on Saturday 15/02 at lunchtime, after making a telephone reservation, we were rudely addressed by a member of staff, who, having seen us lingering in the doorway for about a minute, came out telling us "Do you have to eat? Well, maybe get moving!". I can understand that the kitchen was closing, but we arrived at the time agreed upon by telephone, and I would say that there is no way to accommodate a group of ten people, especially during a less than generous winter season (no snow received, slopes closed, empty rooms). We then freed the Pantagruel staff from the inconvenience, heading towards another restaurant. P.s. Even the lady who took the reservation had an annoyed and unwelcoming tone. Sometimes it is good to remember that the quality of a restaurant is not only measured by the food, but also by the service and friendliness, because customers pay to have fun and feel good, certainly not to be scolded or mistreated.

15/02/2025: A rudeness that I have rarely ever encountered in a restaurateur. I felt offended. I don't understand how he can treat customers like this who still bring money to the facility. Meh.

Los propietarios eran tan encantadores, amables y acogedores. Me encantaría comer allí de nuevo. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente
