21/12/2025: I've been going for years and have always had a great time, eating for two, from the menu to the service. Unfortunately, the last time, there were about fifteen of us, the restaurant didn't do well; there was another table with just as many people. They don't do well with large numbers. I'm sorry.

10/08/2025: Highly recommended, we went for dinner with friends, we ordered a pinsa alla margherita, we were mistakenly brought a cacio e pepe (which by mistake we did not recognize as such and we also ate the dish) the very kind waitress came back apologizing for having brought us the wrong pinsa not only bringing us the correct one but also telling us that it had been complimentary from the chef, it was a wonderful dinner and the recommended wine was excellent ... We will be back

22/03/2026: The door is wooden and bears the name "Birot." I thought I was entering a trattoria, but inside, the furnishings are 20th-century in style, with a fireplace and period pieces, a carefully contrasting array of abstract paintings on the walls, meticulously set tables, slim-fitting waiters with napkins under their arms, and helpful staff. It's essentially a grand restaurant disguised as a trattoria, and this embarrasses me and my guests, who were expecting to have lunch in a family-friendly setting. They bring us the menu, meticulously crafted in both style and content. We each order a main course, a quarter of a liter of wine to toast, a bottle of still water, and four coffees. My friend's wife and I order ossobuco with risotto alla milanese. The risotto is good, but the ossobuco is dry and cold, as if it were baked the day before, and without the "cremolata," typical of this dish—a disappointment. We finish and I go to pay: €165, as if we'd had a full lunch! The quality-price ratio is terrible, given the grand staging that hardly befits a trattoria, real or fake. The Birot is a place that won't see us again!

18/01/2026: Regular customer in the past, excellent quality but perhaps the ownership or the chef has changed. Delivery service is excellent, quality of the top, more than half of it in the bin.

21/12/2025: A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE! On a cold Sunday morning in December, my dear friends and I found ourselves hungry and without a place to go. Luckily, we remembered the fantastic waitress, Gaia, who, with her charm, delighted us with service on par with a Michelin-starred restaurant. Quality food and excellent company! 20/07/2025: Excellent Modenese breakfast with coffee and fried gnocco with salami: simple but well done. Fast and direct service, clearly a classic neighborhood bar where people pass by every day. There's a family atmosphere.

02/02/2026: The bocconcini are truly delicious! The pizzas and focaccias are also good. I've stopped for lunch a few times, and it's not bad. I highly recommend it for the bread and other treats.

27/03/2026: Very slow service; for a "workers'" meal, it took 1.5 hours. They served all the starters before starting the main courses. The bread arrived with the main course. I wasn't asked if I wanted a side dish; I still don't know if it was available or not. I called and was told they started at 12:00. Instead, orders were taken at 12:30. Other than that, the food was decent for the (low) price.

16/11/2025: We ate really well! The risotto with saffron was exquisite, creamy, and rich in flavor, while the ossobuco was even better: a truly superb dish. The portions were more than generous. The Milanese cutlet, with its double breading, was simply fantastic. A truly top-notch location, well-maintained and welcoming. Highly recommended: high quality and truly worthy cuisine!

15/11/2025: We arrived for dinner on a Saturday night. We sat down at the table and pointed out that it was swaying; we had to suggest putting napkins on it to prevent it from tipping over. Three different waiters came by to ask if we wanted water. We opted for a bottle of Prosecco, which was very good. When the waitress opened the bottle, she shot the cork into the chandelier, a nearly avoided accident, fortunately. The dishes were good, but the portions were small; we left hungry. When the dishes arrived, they also brought us bread. As soon as we finished eating, they took everything away, including the bread we wanted to use to mop up the bread. They insisted on asking if we wanted dessert. At the cashier, we had to ask for a receipt; they greeted us without issuing a receipt. We had to mention this to receive it. The dishes were good, but we won't be returning.

15/03/2026: Worst service ever. The blonde lady at the cash register is the most obnoxious. Keep it up and you'll see how many people will turn away.

04/09/2025: A truly refined place, with beautifully presented, high-quality dishes. You feel discreetly pampered. We had lunch consisting of a choice of dish, a dessert, water, and coffee. We also paired it with two excellent glasses of Franciacorta rosé: the wine list is also excellent.
