I migliori ristoranti in Mantova

28/07/2024: If it is called "Caffè", I expect that it is normal to sit there, have a drink, and a small snack, in our case sparkling water, wine, and some bruschetti. But when the waitress repeats two times your order, makes a very unfriendly grimace laughing you out and asks "only that, really?" it is a no-go for me. I don't want to be laughed at on my holiday. The service should really work on their attitude. The wine was great and the bruschetti alla pace were also very good, but the service leaves a bitter aftertaste.

17/07/2024: Crazy prices and rude staff. On the occasion of the Mantua Summer fest we asked for two gin and tonics to take away... €24 for two gin and tonics with hyper-commercial gin (Bombay). To our comment on the very high price they replied "go and see how much they charge you in the square". Incidentally: in the square, in the middle of the festival, they cost €8. ABSOLUTELY TO AVOID

22/07/2024: Perhaps the quality of the Don Basilico chain varies depending on the stores and with the one in Viale Bovio we are not quite there. I order a delivery on Monday and they offer it to me after an hour.... a lukewarm pizza arrives, with stingy seasoning, very little mozzarella, a little dried rocket and cherry tomatoes cut on top, with plenty of oregano, a TINY pizza! I will never order from them again even though they are the closest ones, terrible experience!!!

23/06/2024: Small shop with tables facing the pedestrian street. Nice prosciutto and cheeses. Small tables that land equally, equally. The food was honest but reheated in such a way that you could tell. Reasonable prices. Purely tourist shop.

27/04/2024: In occasione di un appuntamento di lavoro in zona decido con altri 2 colleghi di fare una pausa caffè con dessert in questo locale segnalato da persone del posto. IL locale è ben organizzato e pulito. Deciciamo per tre caffè e tre dolci gourmet. Ordino un dolce alla nocciola, la mia passione. Ottimo nelle consistenze e nel gusto. Esperienza positiva!

03/04/2024: Il locale è molto bello, curato e pulito. Il personale gentile. Le monoporzioni sono buone ma non eccezionali, più belle alla vista che buone al palato. I prezzi al tavolo sono davvero troppo alti soprattutto per il luogo dove si trova la pasticceria che non è Piazza San Marco a Venezia ma una strada di passaggio.

29/06/2024: Prenotato con altra piattaforma dove le recensioni non erano poi male. Menù classico turistico, con i soliti 3 o 4 piatti congelati (lasagna e scoglio che ci combinano nello stesso posto?). Per di più la qualità lasciava molto a desiderare, è avanzato persino il fritto e fritto è buona anche una scarpa. Calice di vino giusto un dito e caldo. Unica nota positiva i camerieri molto catini e gentili. Solo i tedeschi possono mangiarci…

29/07/2024: I ate twice in this place, in terms of cuisine I have never complained about the quality, while I would have something to complain about the quantity (really small portions). The biggest problem is the high prices combined with the rudeness of the staff, especially the girl behind the counter who I presume is the owner. It is not possible that to eat food defined by them as 'street food', we were treated in a decidedly rude way in order to make us pay the cover charge (a paper placemat and cutlery), in a place where there is not even a bath. Moral of the story, if you want to eat two mini arancini, a measly portion of panelle and two drinks, you end up spending around 30 euros eating at the counter on the stools. My impression is that this type of restaurateur is convinced that the customers are all sheep...the first time you piss me off (not being able to know how much the cover charge and service costs, I always mean to eat 2 arancini and not as a restaurant), the second time, so as not to be fleeced, I clearly ask for 'takeaway street food' and you treat me with arrogance... at that point the third time I go to eat at someone else's.... I think there is a way and way to treat customers.
