24/08/2025: We had a wonderful stay at Locanda del Mel. The welcome was particularly warm: the owners who welcomed us were very friendly, pleasant, and always available. The junior suite was spacious, comfortable, and decorated in a charming contemporary style. Another positive aspect was the secure parking, which provided real peace of mind. The only downside: the breakfast lacked a little variety, especially for travelers from France who are accustomed to more choice. That said, the overall experience remains very positive, and we recommend this establishment.

26/06/2025: Very beautiful and suggestive location, lots of greenery and a quiet area. We celebrated my son's communion in May and we had a great time. The food was good, cooked to perfection. None of the guests complained. The risotto was truly exquisite, we even asked for seconds, and the roast suckling pig was more than decent. Above all, the service was impeccable, attentive to all our needs: we asked for personalized menus, gluten-free, lactose-free, pork-free and we were satisfied. And without extra charge! After lunch we were able to relax in the garden, sitting on the sofas with some kindly offered bitters. In short... a successful communion!! Thanks so much to all the staff!!

05/04/2025: Fantastic aperitif: draught Leffe Rouge beer, piping hot esoteric mini pizzas, delicious peanuts, chips, breathtaking lake view with Grignetta and Grigna mountains, fast and friendly service—what more could you ask for? After five years away, they've only gotten better. Thank you so much, strongly suggested!

03/08/2025: A casual place, suitable for everyone: families (with a play area and children's menu), groups, and a fixed-price lunch menu for business people. Fast service. The pizza and perch risotto are delicious. The homemade desserts are excellent! Takeout is also available.

24/08/2025: If you want to eat a basic pasta dish and pay a lot for it, this is the place to go. Two pasta dishes, a beer, and a glass of juice (which came in a glass, not a bottle), 60 euros. But the view is really good.

31/08/2025: Unfortunately it was a flop, terrible on all fronts, at a table of 9 people, some were eating and some were waiting for their food, the sliced ​​beef arrived cold after an hour I ordered grilled vegetables which never arrived.

20/08/2025: Used for years and years. Very convenient for space, parking, and a surrounding area for strolling and relaxing in the shade of a grove. Views of the recreational lake and the start of the Valchiavenna valley. Ideal for banquets and special occasions. Outdoor seating is also available in the summer. Simple, yet fresh and good quality food. A fixed price (very affordable) or à la carte options are available. At lunchtime, it's used by office workers and blue-collar workers from the industrial area. Pizza is also available in the evenings. Self-service is available on weekends. Dogs are welcome. Can be used without hesitation. MANAGEMENT HAS CHANGED, so this review does not relate to the new management.

30/06/2025: I'll start by saying that I worked in catering and in a butcher's shop... The chop I ordered had a foul odor... I waited 20 minutes with the plate on the edge of the table and when the waitress came to collect it I kindly told her about the nauseating plate... She answered me rudely insinuating that it wasn't true, without even smelling the plate or checking. She was very rude

27/07/2025: The hotel is old, the furniture is dirty. The showerhead had so much mold and the receptionist was rude and unpleasant. They should reduce the price or change furniture and attitude.

That's not necessarily a problem; in fact, after so many years, I was able to enjoy excellent homemade tagliolini with salmon again. Average food and reasonable prices.
