20/04/2026: We had been to this restaurant thrice in a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Must say fantastic food, staff and views from their restaurant. We were beyond happiness as been vegetarian they had good options on their menu. Would love to go there again and highly recommend this place.

08/04/2026: A lovely, characteristic Valsassina restaurant with large windows overlooking the greenery and the sports center opposite. A warm, welcoming atmosphere, beautifully decorated. Typical Tuscan Val di Chiana dishes, well-prepared, a good selection of wines, prompt, friendly, and courteous service. Clean surroundings. Prices are reasonable. Reservations recommended. First time here, but definitely worth a visit!

21/04/2026: We went there for lunch on the first day, dinner on the second, and it was so good we wanted to return for the third day but it was closed then. I absolutely loved the catch of the day and my husband had the lamb that was so tender and delicious. If you sit on the terrace, the view is amazing too. Service was exceptional!

19/04/2026: Everything was great, the service was friendly, and the quality was excellent. A small point: the outside stairs are not accessible to people with disabilities. I don't know if there's another dedicated entrance.

24/03/2026: What a delightful meal! The menu is limited (a good thing) and you are required to get at least one antipasto and one primo/secondo per person. The server was kind and hospitable, the food very tasty and thoughtfully conceived, and the views over a sunny lake (with a thankfully quiet road in mid-day) made it perfect. The goose antipasto was a standout for us!

08/04/2026: The rudest servers on the lake. Practically screaming at any patron that asked questions. I watched them chase away a party of 8 because they said they couldn’t seat a group that large. One of the members used the toilet and they insisted she pay 10 euros. It wasn’t her fault they weren’t willing to accommodate her party. Skip this horrible restaurant. Food was mediocre anyway.

22/04/2026: Had a wonderful lunch at Osteria Quatro Pass. The Tagliatellle and Ombrina were both excellent—fresh, authentic, and beautifully prepared. We also appreciated the great service and the Verdure side was a perfect addition. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality meal in a lovely setting!

21/04/2026: Lovely restaurant with attentive staff. The selection was lovely! Typical dishes of the lake region which were elevated and cooked to perfection! Overall, excellent meal! We will return again this evening!!

13/04/2026: My wife and I had an incredible experience here. We celebrated our wedding at the restaurant Visteria downstairs and then continued at the bar immediately afterwards. The view was incredible, the food sensational and the service was top notch. All of the staff made the night so memorable, and our bartender Aziz made the celebration more special than we could have asked for. We will happily return in the future!

13/04/2026: My husband & I got married in Varenna this Spring and had the absolute pleasure to eat & have cocktails at Visteria for our celebratory dinner. Aziz, our bartender made our night so heartfelt & special! He has to be one of the most charismatic, passionate & knowledgeable bartenders we’ve ever had. He puts so much so much care into his work & we feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to celebrate our wedding with his service. If you are visiting the Lake Como area, you must give this have a drink or 3 with Aziz at Visteria! Salute! 👏🏽

27/03/2026: Our experience with Villa Cipressi in Varenna was unfortunately disappointing – especially regarding transparency and pricing. We had originally planned to have our civil wedding ceremony there (no reception – just signing the marriage certificate and taking a few photos). We submitted an initial inquiry, based on which we were given a generally acceptable price. However, only in later negotiations, shortly before the final planning, did additional costs come to light, which had not been clearly communicated either on the website or in our previous conversations. These substantial additional costs quickly added up to around €4,000 – and were in no way transparent beforehand. Based on this experience, we ultimately decided against having our civil ceremony there. It didn't feel right to begin this special chapter of our lives with such negative impressions. Our advice to future couples: If you are considering a wedding at Villa Cipressi, inquire very carefully about all potential additional costs and have everything confirmed in writing. In our opinion, there is a clear need for improvement in terms of transparency.

16/03/2026: We had such an amazing stay at Hotel Royal Victoria in Varenna and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Lake Como. From the moment we arrived everything felt welcoming and effortless. The hotel arranged to pick us up from the train station which made arriving in Varenna so easy after traveling. It was such a thoughtful touch and really set the tone for the level of service we experienced during our stay. When it was time for us to leave they also dropped us back off at the station which we really appreciated. We stayed in room 104 and the room was absolutely beautiful. It had that classic Lake Como charm but still felt very comfortable and elegant. The room was spotless and peaceful and it was the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed when you walk in. The hotel itself is stunning and being right on the lake makes it feel like a truly special place to stay. Breakfast each morning was fantastic with a great variety of fresh food and excellent coffee. Sitting there with views of Lake Como was the perfect way to start the day. What stood out the most though was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Federica from the concierge team. She helped get everything set up before we even arrived and gave us great restaurant recommendations while we were there. Having someone so helpful made a big difference for our trip. The location of the hotel is perfect and Varenna itself was an incredible place to stay. It made the whole Lake Como experience feel even more special. We will definitely be back if we ever return to Lake Como. Staying here is absolutely worth it compared to staying at a larger chain hotel in Como. The charm, service, and overall experience made this a truly memorable stay.
