12/08/2024: This is a lovely lunch spot with an amazing view of the lake. They offer a range of options including paninis, wraps, salads and bruschetta. All of the food was very nice and freshly made. They have vegetarian options to choose from as well. It is quite popular so we had to queue however the queue moved fairly quickly. The service was also efficient and friendly.

09/08/2024: Restaurant situé au centre de Varenna, avec vue sur le lac, les serveurs sont adorables et les plats sont très bons à un prix très raisonnable, cela vaut la peine d’attendre.

08/08/2024: We have been staying in the Lakes for the last week and the food at this restaurant was easily the best meal we have experienced. The vibe is casual but the food and service are similar to all the fine dining experiences we have had. Everything was full of flavour and well thought out. The tomato, aubergine and smoked cheese dish was superb, a firm favourite with everyone in our family. When the gorgeous little pre meal taster came out I explained my vegetarian daughter would be unable to have it (due to the ham) one minute later she was served an alternative (which she said was delicious). The chef and staff really know how to treat their customers. If we were back home in Edinburgh this meal would have cost three times what we paid here - it is excellent value for exquisite food.

08/08/2024: On me dit qu'il faut toujours se méfier des restaurants avec les nappes à carreaux...et cela se vérifie une fois de plus. Ici un service qui fait une tête de funérailles, pour des pizzas très moyennes et une propreté très discutable (voir les photos ) vaisselle douteuse et une musique qui braille... Au global l'essentiel est assuré mais vraiment rien de plus, il y a mieux sur la place... Le comble ? Les dosettes d'huile d'olive, en Italie..

07/08/2024: When I stepped into the room, I felt like a two-star hotel, not a three-star hotel. The room is small, but the bathroom is also very small, and the space itself is insufficient. There is a "pat pat cleaning utensil" between the wash basin and the toilet. Every time we go to the toilet🚽, we have to be careful where we enter the toilet😪. The room was clean and tidy on the first night, but on the second night, it felt cluttered and made me feel uncomfortable breathing. There are very few types of breakfast, and there are obvious stains on each white plate😖. Staying at this hotel for Euro 250 per night, voila!

13/07/2024: Davvero buonissimo! Materia prima di qualità, piatti tradizionali cucinati bene e abbondanti. Consigliato! Da non perdere i taglieri di salumi e formaggi.

03/06/2024: Bellissima scoperta in quel di Lecco. Antica osteria che offre salumi e formaggi locali di alta qualita'. Ho apprezzato molto anche il dolce. Assolutamente da provare! In questo locale si puo' pagare con TheFork PAY utilizzando le Gift Card e si possono spendere i punti YUMS.

20/04/2024: The girls are very friendly Excellent and plentiful food We were a little skeptical about the ready meals (frozen, to be heated) but the two different risottos were very good Abundant cutting boards and they are really welcoming and friendly

31/07/2024: The best thing about this hotel was the colored toilet paper! We were tired and quickly looked for a hotel in the evening. The bed was clean. Otherwise everything is dingy and absolutely no value for money. The breakfast was more than bad. The boss and his daughter were unfriendly. Because there was cleaning, we were escorted out of the restaurant at 9:30, even though breakfast runs until 10. SO REALLY A NO GO HOTEL. The WORST AND MOST FRIENDLY HOTEL we had on our 4 week tour of all of Italy.

02/06/2024: Uneatable pizza, rude staff, dirty bathroom and in the end an exaggerated 2.50 cover charge for terrible service!

27/07/2024: Rude and incorrect. We indicated this pastry shop as a collection point for a package that was supposed to arrive via the Italian Post Office. Despite having given Poste Italiane the opening hours from 6.30am to 8pm, the Courier arrived at 1.17pm and found the place closed and therefore was unable to deliver. I had to go to the pastry shop to ask for explanations and the owner, in a clearly rude and arrogant tone, candidly confessed to me that she closes every day at lunch time but that she hasn't communicated anything to Poste Italiane because - in her words - they do that anyway that they want. Result: I wasted a lot of time on phone calls to understand where my package had gone and I even had to go and collect it in Lecco. Absolutely to avoid

08/04/2024: Excellent pastries and chocolates! A point of reference for the Boers and chocolate peels. Very kind gentlemen.

18/07/2024: Beautiful view and nothing else. High prices, nothing special quality and poor portions. The customer is a little neglected. The receipt, non-existent for those who pay in cash

15/07/2024: Exorbitant prices for miserable dishes of a quality that is anything but commensurate with the cost... A miserable sandwich with a salamella (without anything else!) 6 euros?!?! A tiny portion of the thin McDonald's type chips costing 4 euros (without sauces!)?!?! And then, no napkins... Very long wait, with the place still half-empty, despite several waiters, for two things that can be prepared in 5 minutes... The sandwiches arrive first and then, after we had finished them, the chips... And finally, despite the far from small amount spent, we left still hungry (and my wife and I are certainly not two gluttons...), so much so that we went to the ice cream shop in the square. In short, a place for "chickens", who only go there to post photos and selfies of their dinner in front of that splendid view (let's say they charge mostly for that, but it can also be admired from other points).

10/08/2024: Bakery, bar, cafe, pastry shop. Top breakfasts with mugs of milk like at home, croissants filled with jam, in a pleasant environment, kind and always smiling shop assistants. The place, previously large and spacious with many tables, has been halved internally, but outside there are many tables, on a terrace with umbrellas. The bread and pizza as well as the desserts, tarts, biscuits are all produced by them and are delicious. It's a shame that they are only open on Saturdays and Sundays in July. Now that it's August every day but starting from September, again only on weekends.

28/05/2024: Really bad and dilapidated We contacted the restaurant in view of a wedding, and we stopped by to see the rooms and try the food. Having said that only at the end we realized that the locals were served abundant and appetizing food, we received pre-cooked and waste food. Specifically: half a portion of Milanese risotto (so to speak) tasteless and cold, a portion of stew with polenta where the stew was watery and the polenta was the one bought ready and cut into slices. The veal with tuna sauce had been drowned in mayonnaise from the jar. The rooms were old and dilapidated, but the worst was seeing a display case at the entrance with bottles of wine immersed in dust and cobwebs. Price for 2 portions of risotto, 1 of veal with tuna sauce, 1 of stew, 2 bottles of water and 3 coffees: €66.50. Congratulations for having treated customers like this who were willing to come and spend thousands of euros for the wedding ceremony, and this not because I expected not to pay, but because we were given pre-cooked dishes badly heated in the microwave.

18/10/2023: We went for lunch today. Very welcoming place with friendly and helpful staff. We ate very well, abundant and tasty dishes. If you pass through those parts, I recommend it.
