13/09/2025: My wife, Adri, and I had an excellent meal here. We enjoyed the tuna tataki with sesame, the potato and cod dish, the burger and the pulpo. Roberto was an excellent server, he was very attentive and helped us with ordering and translations. Until we left, We believed Roberto was the owner of the place, due to his very nice mannerisms, but he's actually very enthusiastic to work there. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere overlooking the beach. It was great to relax with a beer before enjoying the meal!

10/09/2025: Halfway along the San Lorenzo al Mare/Ospedaletti bike path, in Bussana, we stopped for lunch at this seaside restaurant. We ordered seafood salad, caprese salad, fresh tuna salad, and a burger: everyone appreciated the original touch in the dishes, all excellent. Reasonably priced.

11/10/2025: Terrible service. With the dining room half empty, we waited forever both to order and for someone to come and collect our dishes. The main courses were never picked up, so we didn't even have a chance to order dessert unless we'd waited another hour.

24/08/2025: I gave it 5 stars because this is a rare place in a world where people are tired of the traditional and constantly searching for new flavors at prohibitive costs. After tasting typical Ligurian home cooking, you sense the passion of this family, who for years, with their carpasina, have kept the heart of Carpasio alive. The dishes change constantly, but they all share the flavor of traditional cuisine. The simplicity and quality of the local products, in my opinion, make this an experience that grows more and more appreciated each time. Congratulations.

20/09/2025: A €14 breakfast. Two croissants, a coffee, a cappuccino, and a small strawberry tart for €7.00!!!! €1 per strawberry, practically... Exorbitantly priced, as if we were by the sea or in a Venetian piazza, and the prices weren't displayed; when asked, the waiter told me the tart cost €5... For a basic breakfast (coffee and cappuccino are fine), but don't bother going into the pastry shop... The reviews greatly overrate this place; for half the price, you can easily get better breakfasts, even by the sea. A half-empty cream croissant, average coffee... Overall, value for money, highly not recommended.

01/10/2025: Judging by the over-whelming review responses so far being combative rather than accepting, I did wonder if it were worth writing this. After all, isn’t one positive aspect of an honest review being that those responsible for the establishment can improve? I visited with my husband - one night stay. First things first, acknowledgment where it is due, the owners/people at this establishment are lovely and are intent on giving good service. All are very friendly and courteous -but other than this element, I’m afraid I’m at a loss as to why many other reviews are so at odds with our own recent experience. The views, of course, are absolutely stunning ….. but when that’s been said, nothing else is anywhere close to acceptable, let alone impressive. It’s obvious that the picture-book location is expected to deflect any and all expectations of comfort. There really is precious little. Please don’t expect that the photos were taken this side of the millennium, and at that fast-receding point in time, the decoration and facilities were more than likely passable - but having clearly had zero investment in the fabric since, it has become tired and massively past its sell-by date and in dire need of maintenance on a grand scale. It has to be said, however, that as some buildings fall into decrepitude, they become oddly iconic. Perhaps this is a case in point….. but be warned, don’t expect anything less than an authentic Adam’s Family mansion experience complete with incredible, breath-taking views.

21/09/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel La Riserva di Castel d'Appio. The place is full of charm, the view is magnificent, and the setting is very relaxing. The staff is charming and efficient, whether at reception, at breakfast, or in the restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and the food is of high quality. We will gladly return!

12/10/2025: Very positive experience, very good thin-crust pizza, very tasty tuna as well as grilled vegetables, young, knowledgeable, kind but not intrusive staff, we will definitely be back.

31/08/2025: To describe the service, all the stars in the sky would be needed. We arrived at 4:45 after a night at the disco (incredibly fun), with a pit in our stomachs that only a kebab could fill. And there, the Alibaba team came to our rescue, serving kebabs to four people in less than (LITERALLY) five minutes. The quintessential Allah's place.

02/10/2025: Run away!! They're thieves. We went to this pizzeria for lunch with several colleagues. The service was fine, but the problem came when it came to the bill. For a pizza that was listed at €10, I was charged €15 at the cash register. The worst part was that when I simply asked the elderly lady at the cash register for an explanation, she erased the screen and asked me to pay. She complained, got impatient, etc. In the end, these good restaurant owners charged me €10 for the pizza + €3 for the mushroom supplement (it's expensive, but okay, I asked for an extra) and, more importantly, €2 to replace the tomato sauce with crème fraîche (😂 that's a lot for a spoonful of cream). I should have asked you to subtract the tomato sauce 😂 Out of the five of us, three had this kind of disappointment when it came to the bill. So, dear madam, instead of getting annoyed, take the time to better train your staff and have the decency to simply warn the customer when ordering. You will save a lot of time.

19/09/2025: They're all childish and stepchildish; if you're in line to pay, they'll let the guy behind you go because he's their friend. The much-vaunted pizza isn't what I'm satisfied with. The only positive thing is the very kind and fast staff.

24/08/2025: The trattoria is open on Mondays in August; the online hours are not updated. Ordered dishes: Rabbit plin Borage tagliatelle with ragù Liver salami French fries Rostelle The rabbit plin was very good. Borage tagliatelle was good, but nothing special. The liver salami was inedible, small, burnt, and very salty. The fries were way too salty. The rostelle were a solid 9 out of 10. On a positive note: homemade cooking. The allergen information is super precise!!!! Reservations recommended; they have a double serving in the evening: 1st serving at 7:30 PM and 2nd serving at 9:00 PM. I'd return just for the rostelle. Romantic location, outdoors, under the pine trees... I'd add some citronella candles to create ambiance and keep mosquitoes away. My "rating" is a 3.5 I'm giving it a 4 to encourage them to always do better, because there's potential and because the rostelle were really good.
