12/03/2026: I don't even know where to begin. I think it is the most charming, cozy, welcoming place I've stayed. Nestled on the banks of a river in the hills of Liguria, this is a real gem. Fireplaces in the rooms, cozy Italian vibe that we must all be looking for in a small Italian village, spa, swimming pool, nature, and an INCREDIBLE restaurant on site for lunch or dinner, at great prices, and included buffet salty/sweet Italian breakfast. Very romantic, relaxing, peaceful, beautiful place for a getaway. And if you feel like moving (you may not want to leave the premises!), you're only a 15 minute drive to the coast where you can enjoy the sea, a walk by the beach, and all the beach side bars and restaurants. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

19/02/2026: Such an exceptional place that I went back within a month! The fireplace with everything you need to light a fire, the large room, the amazing bathroom... the tranquil atmosphere, perfect for getting away from it all and finding peace and quiet... What impressed me most was the service, the value for money, and especially the gourmet menu. There's a very talented chef. High-flying gastronomy at a very reasonable price. Everyone should try it! We also opted for the spa. It was absolutely worth it. It was magical. Best experience I've ever had. The cured meats and cheese spread was unbelievable, the view from the jacuzzi was so peaceful, private, and wild... Best find in a decade. Not an exaggeration.

21/02/2026: A very charming and elegant restaurant in the center of Pontedecimo, ideal for a romantic dinner for two. The hostess is incredibly kind. We had everything from appetizers to dessert, with wine, for a seafood dinner. We were very satisfied. The price was reasonable for the quality and service. Superlative seafood, delicious scampi, and a special mention for the perfectly balanced capon magro, delicate yet flavorful—it's hard to find anything like it these days. If I have the chance, I'll be happy to return.

21/02/2026: A very famous restaurant in La Spezia where you had to book a month in advance, but it recently changed management, so I'm super curious to try it. The menu is varied and caters to every palate. The food is good quality but definitely room for improvement. Privacy isn't the best, as the restaurant is very small, and if you happen to be there with American guests on a night out, you'll have to shout to speak. The service definitely needs improvement. Excellent wine list with above-average prices. A little tip: a complimentary liqueur at the end is always appreciated.

06/03/2026: I stopped by this bakery to buy some Genoese focaccia to take to relatives. The product was good and of high quality. Unfortunately, however, the experience was ruined by the attitude of the sales assistant. I had purchased two trays of focaccia and politely asked if it was possible to divide them into three bags because I needed to distribute them to family members. The request was met with a rather rude response that left me truly surprised. I understand that working behind the counter can be intense, but a little courtesy towards customers always makes a difference. It's a shame, because with a kinder attitude, it would have been a much more pleasant experience!

27/02/2026: I've been frequenting Matuzia's ice cream shop forever. For me, it's probably the only ice cream worth the calories. Today, I have to say that the Baci, which I bought a couple of days ago, are the best I've ever had. They're incredibly fresh. They were already delicious, but now, unbelievably, they're even better! You're one of a kind!

06/03/2026: A bar with a unique, original, but very pleasant atmosphere! Very affordable prices, but above all, I must say that our group found the drinks excellent, both the beers and the prosecco. Special mention to the bar's only waitress, who runs it like a pro! Also worth noting are two very cool decorative skeletons 😁.

You can tell they genuinely love what they’re serving, and they’re happy to help you find “the one.” The service? Top-tier. Friendly without hovering, knowledgeable without lecturing, and somehow they remember what you’re drinking even when you’ve forgotten. It feels like hanging out at a friend’s place — if your friend had impeccable taste in local beer and a professionally run bar. And then there’s the popcorn. Listen. I don’t know what they’re doing back there, but it’s suspicious. Addictive. I’m half convinced they season it with magic. Great beer, great people, mysteriously irresistible popcorn. Go thirsty…

04/12/2025: We were in the first room which was a bit narrow, the seafood pizza was sparsely garnished, otherwise the staff were very kind and the prices were fair.

18/11/2025: The best pizzeria in San Fruttuoso, excellent pizzas (both classic and slightly more sophisticated), traditional Genoese farinata, and the food is also top-notch. I recommend everyone try this pizzeria: the staff and owners are the icing on the cake. Excellent!
