02/10/2025: This food was lovely enough to remind me of a healthy/quick dinner out of a home kitchen but not from a pretentious restaurant such as this one with the chef wanting compliments by showing up after each meal and reminding us that everything was made in house. The food lacked flavour and presentation. The whole experience was almost depressing with the atmosphere lacking in so many ways and the menu being so devoid of any kind of information or excitement that we really wanted to leave before ordering but the waiters were too overbearing to allow this and basically intimidated us into staying. It seems that the restaurant is stuck in the classic cuisine of 40 years ago and refuses to innovate in any way from its menu to the atmosphere. The waiters were arrogant and annoyingly would often come in twos or threes just to take an order and reminded us that everything was made in house each time they came to the table just as the chef did. They didn’t notice when we had no water left and we gave each waiter a chance to notice but none of them did and we were the only table in the whole restaurant. They brought us bread when we arrived whilst we waited for our meals but nothing to accompany the bread and then when we paid, we noticed that we were charged for it when we didn’t order it in the first place! The entire experience was extremely disappointing and to top it all off, it cost the two of us 80 euros for a main meal, a desert to share and a bottle of water to share. We appreciated what they aim to do by making things from scratch and keeping the menu classic and simple, but we will not be returning for the aforementioned reasons. Good luck to them

10/09/2025: THE FIREPLACE... With such a welcoming name, you expect it to warm your heart and stomach... and indeed, they do, even if the bill at the end leaves you feeling a little burnt 🔥💸. The food? All good, no complaints, but a bit pricey for what you get. Wow... then you order one thing and in the blink of an eye, without warning, a different dish arrives. Meanwhile, the SPACIOUS CHEF Nazzareno wanders among the tables with his unmistakable hat, ready to challenge anyone, just like me, who loves ordering green beans. Would I go back? Yes, but this time we'll go straight for a first course, without hoping to satisfy ourselves with a nice portion of sea bass or sea bream. No surprises, no burning fireplaces... you know what? The wallet.

03/08/2025: Best pizza I've ever eaten. Super friendly and helpful staff if you need anything. This pizzeria is a must-visit!! The value for money is also excellent! You absolutely can't complain.

17/01/2026: Really poor service. I sat down at 8:45 PM and had to wait almost half an hour just to order, after having to hassle several waiters. After ordering, over an hour went by without the pizza arriving, and no attention was paid to the table. After a total of an hour and a half, I got up and left. This kind of wait is unacceptable.

14/10/2025: Historic bar located near the hospital and Falcone Park. A charming location, a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. In addition to breakfast and aperitifs, they also offer lunch with daily menus. A quiet and relaxing atmosphere, ideal after a tiring day at work.

27/09/2025: If you don't care about form, this is the place for you. Delicious appetizer and then a pile of well-cooked meat. Highly recommended for spending time with friends, eating well, and spending relatively little considering what you're served. Very friendly staff. Exceptional wine selection. It's a shame the place is so basic. But you can't have everything.

30/10/2025: For your information, I'm on the island a few months a year and I've seen this restaurant's prices keep increasing. It's very shameful to see the article that just came out in the newspaper; it advertised €230 per kilo of lobster 🦞 in their restaurant, which is false because on the island we're more like €60 per kilo. It's really a tourist trap, and it's true that the portions are frustrating and the service needs improvement because the employees' smiles aren't exactly cheerful…

12/01/2026: Excellent bar for breakfast, a quick lunch, or an aperitif. The girls are super friendly and kind, the music puts everyone in a good mood, and the food is top-notch. There's an enclosed, heated outdoor area with tables and chairs. A great option for anyone passing through Piccarello.

13/12/2025: Unfortunately they can't manage the flow of people even though there is pizza ready to sell on the counter, in my opinion they are sleeping a bit, it's good for the owners, it's good for everyone

08/12/2025: The parmigiana pizza is especially delicious, and the croquettes are truly excellent. The girls who serve are super fast. Very good, especially because the place is often full.

26/11/2025: An experience to forget... Invited to an impromptu dinner by a colleague, I decided to stop in the area to get a tray of mignon as a gift and entered this place I wasn't familiar with. It was a terrible choice, and I made a terrible impression. The Neapolitan sfogliatelle were completely empty inside (if you don't know how to make them, avoid making them so the customer doesn't make a fool of themselves). And that was the least of it. Let's talk about the cream in the cream puffs... IT WAS SPOILED... luckily we noticed it in time and there were no consequences.

16/11/2025: We showed up on Sunday with advance notice, upon arrival the place was empty, a menu written on a blackboard, an inedible appetizer consisting of all HOMEMADE pickled and oil-preserved products, stinging and spoiled, I don't know if they're legal at this point but definitely OLD. An appetizer left entirely on the plate, fettuccine with cockerels and pachino tomatoes, abundant but of poor quality. DO PLACES LIKE THIS REALLY STILL EXIST?!?

02/11/2025: Wandered in off the streets while walking the Via Francigena. Was having a bad day - but eating at this restaurant turned it around. I was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a hearty pasta dish and salad. Husband and wife working there were fantastic - thank you for improving my day 🙂
