27/09/2025: If you don't care about form, this is the place for you. Delicious appetizer and then a pile of well-cooked meat. Highly recommended for spending time with friends, eating well, and spending relatively little considering what you're served. Very friendly staff. Exceptional wine selection. It's a shame the place is so basic. But you can't have everything.

Il Grottino (Paese): superb seafood pasta and impeccable service ​Review: ​We were passing through on our motorcycle and stopped at "Grottino" in the historic center of San Felice Circeo (be careful not to confuse it with the one at the port!). We just wanted a quick seafood pasta dish, but we were pleasantly surprised by how quick and, above all, excellent it was. ​The seafood pasta was incredibly fresh, expertly cooked, and incredibly flavorful—a true pleasure. ​Besides the excellent cuisine, the service deserves special praise. The owner, Federico, is the true soul of the place: helpful, attentive, and clearly trained to make every customer feel at ease and accommodate every request. A true professional! ​If you're looking for authentic and delicious seafood cuisine combined with top-notch service, this is the place. We'll definitely be back later to try the rest of the menu. 16/08/2025: Terrible experience, the worst pizza of my life. Rectangular pizzas, 2 cm thick, dough almost raw and sticky. The sauce on the pizza was unseasoned, tasteless, and saltless. The seafood on the pizza, which when defrosted, filled the pizza with water. Horrible taste. The Margherita pizza was thick, flavorless, and tasteless. In short, three pizzas that made me vomit. Rude staff. I will never go there again. Highly not recommended.

23/08/2025: Excellent products, average prices, and the service depends on who's there. When men are there, they're very courteous and polite; they even provide a tray, napkins if needed, and a plastic bag for carrying it. The woman, on the other hand, puts everything in a greasy paper bag and hands it to you without even putting it in a bag. Furthermore, she has the habit, after the person asks for what they need, of saying, "Just this?!?" I don't think it's polite.

23/10/2025: It's a shame I can't give it zero stars. I had a pizza that tasted less like a cracker, the sauce was bland and poured from the jar onto the pizza without even a hint of a pan, the mozzarella had the consistency of rubber, and the mushrooms were disgusting. Furthermore, the air conditioning is a luxury they apparently can't afford, the staff is as friendly as a stinger, and they'll snap at you for asking absurd questions like why the air conditioning is off when it's 104 degrees in the dining room. Then we glimpsed the kitchen, and I have to say, if the NAS (Italian Police) officers were to enter there, they'd run out of paper due to all the fines they'd have to issue, and they'd quit their jobs because of the trauma they'd cause by the filth they'd see in that stall. Finally, if you want to pay by card, they'll curse your family. Avoid at all costs.

30/09/2025: I'd like to start by saying that I always like to book, both to avoid wasting time looking for a place to have lunch or dinner and, above all, to allow the restaurant owners to better organize their order. I arrive on Sunday at 2:00 PM, as booked. I wait for a table and in the meantime, I decide what to order. I order a grilled steak with porcini mushrooms and chicory for myself, while for my companion, I order grilled porcini mushrooms and tagliolini with fresh truffle. Shortly after, the waiter returns and informs me that the steak is out of stock. I then ask for lamb, but that too is unavailable. I settle for a mixed grill (all pork, which hadn't been specified). As a side, I order chicory, but it never arrives. The grilled meat and porcini mushrooms arrive, while the tagliolini arrive about 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, they're overcooked. The chicory, as mentioned, doesn't arrive. I don't feel like pushing it any further, so we end our sad lunch. When it came time for the bill, I pointed out that the chicory never arrived. I was told it was out and that there were broccoli, but they weren't served either. I'm specifying this so they don't end up on the bill. I forgot: the tagliolini were served after the next table, who had ordered after us, had already received them. They were probably ready, but they weren't delivered right away. The location is nice; we ate outside, and the staff seemed friendly. However, there's an obvious organizational problem. My suggestion: try to at least guarantee availability for those who took the time to book in advance.

30/09/2025: I visited this trattoria on Sunday, and despite it being very crowded, the experience was truly positive. The food was excellent, with tasty and carefully crafted dishes that reflected the passion and quality of the cuisine. The staff was kind and welcoming, always available even amidst the rush of customers. The wait was a bit long, understandable given the crowd, but the quality of the dishes more than made up for it.

13/05/2025: On Tuesday evening luckily we found this restaurant open because all the others opened on Thursday, we were the only 4 customers and we had a great time, an excellent dinner based on artichokes accompanied by two excellent wines. The owner Gianni very friendly and helpful.

09/04/2025: We were in this place, traveling around with the camper, excellent cuisine, amazing appetizer all based on artichokes... excellent kindness and professionalism... then due to an order error, they offered us to favor a first course with artichokes... to take away... what can I say... ate the next day... they were exceptional... highly recommended...

02/09/2025: A beautiful garden where you can dine on dishes made with excellent ingredients and cooked with love. The menu offers a wide selection, but since the cuisine offers fairly innovative dishes, you need to choose carefully. Some dishes are excellent, others are bland, even if elaborate. Excellent service. The quality/price ratio is average. Worth a try, even in winter, with different dishes.
