19/01/2026: It was a very pleasant experience. The interior is decorated with historic and traditional mountain objects; the lit fireplace and Christmas lights created a truly welcoming atmosphere.
The service was both professional and homely: we immediately felt at ease.
The food was very good. The homemade bread was soft and fragrant. We were even served crostini with ricotta and chives twice (I think the second time was by mistake 😅).
The menu is very well-curated, and while it wasn't 100% mountain-style, we found all the dishes to be truly excellent: Calabrian lasagna (if I'm not mistaken) and beetroot gnocchi on a bed of melted cheese.
The presentation of the dishes was also very thoughtful.
We can only compliment them.
06/01/2026: A very simple and warm yet refined place. You walk in and feel right at home. The cuisine is excellent, home-style but very refined and carefully prepared, like our grandmothers' cooking, but with a touch of harmony, delicacy, and innovation. Five stars to the kitchen staff! The service is professional and knowledgeable. Giorgio (if I'm not mistaken) is the highlight of the dining room, his kindness, professionalism, and friendliness! The fireplace in the dining room is truly a highlight... highly recommended, excellent value.

04/01/2026: Excellent cuisine. Appetizers that are different from the usual options. The magatello served with marinated vegetables is a true delight! The smoked prosciutto, expertly seasoned, makes a simple dish unique and delicious.
The risotto with Trevisana and Asiago cheese is excellent!
The melt-in-your-mouth cheek with gremolata is a must-try.
Excellent homemade desserts.
All this is complemented by impeccable service and friendly staff.
03/01/2026: A very nice trattoria in the center of Marostica. The food was good and arrived fairly quickly. I ordered the full menu, with risotto as my first course and a vegetarian dish as my second, and I have to say it was very good. It's definitely cheaper than other places in the area (at least if you order the set menu).

26/12/2025: Christmas lunch with a set menu. Cuisine average for the area: the truffle risotto was good, but other dishes were less impressive (poorly prepared appetizers, cold cotechino). The entrée was industrially prepared puff pastry. Wine was good, but the option of a dedicated bottle of Prosecco was denied.
Serious customer service deficiencies: staff were professional but lacking empathy and flexibility. During lunch, a guest (118) fell ill without any support from the staff; the full menu price (€80) was still charged despite the meal not having been completed. A lactose intolerance reported well in advance was also poorly managed.
Trattoria-like atmosphere, with ample parking.

13/01/2026: I know the management... I've been there a couple of times... excellent local dishes with average prices... during the war, this tavern was frequented by E. Hemingway... there's no parking nearby but Piazza del Bao is a little further away.

Exactly a year later, I stopped by for dinner, and the pizza was really good, and the service was fast. It's also a good restaurant with plenty of seating and a good menu to choose from.
