Il Grottino In Vicenza

Great experience. We went to this place for a beer and a non-alcoholic aperitif. We had a great time, especially because we were greeted by the very friendly staff. The location is beautiful, being under the Basilica Palladiana in a very quaint venue called Il Grottino.

A charming little restaurant right in the center, discovered by chance... It inspired us, so we went in... and we were right! A very busy location, top-notch service. A wide selection of spunciotti, the equivalent of cicchetti. Cod and baby octopus with polenta, mouth-watering. The spritzes are different from the usual ones, but really good.

In Vicenza for the "Abilmente" fair, we then wandered around the city center. We found this wonderful place and stopped for a quick brunch (that was our intention). Then, after seeing all the delicious food, we had lunch. Their spunciotti were delicious, with a myriad of options. The polenta dishes were delicious. All the staff were incredibly kind. The quality/price ratio was excellent. It's a shame we live a bit far away. But next time we're in Vicenza, we'll be back. We did, however, bring home some more spunciotti. The place is truly amazing! A unique place with an incredible atmosphere: the brick vaults and cozy atmosphere make it warm, authentic, and incredibly charming. Excellent beers, with a carefully curated and high-quality selection, perfect to pair with the cicchetti, simply delicious: authentic flavors, well-crafted, and ideal for sharing. The icing on the cake is the incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful staff, who make you feel right at home. A place you'll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended! 🍻✨

Wonderful little spot for our arrival in Vicenza! Wonderful spunciotti, delicious meatballs, and a nice glass of fresh, fragrant Lugana. Fast service, young, friendly people. Excellent! I recommend it!

A historic venue, very beautiful and welcoming inside. A terrace overlooking perhaps the most beautiful square in Vicenza. Excellent canapés and pizza slices. A wide selection of quality wines. A consistently high-quality aperitif.
