05/07/2025: It was the feast of the patron saint of Poiano (St. Peter and Paul) so a lot of people. However, the tavern is tiny so reservations are mandatory. I only drank and the prices were a bit inflated (but I drank well...)

25/06/2025: Owner was rude, felt really unwelcome. He clearly made you felt like he didnt want you there.

10/10/2025: We went for dinner as a couple, and I must say it was a pleasant discovery. Excellent food, excellent service, and a characteristic location, like the osterias of old, with a modern twist in the choice of paintings. Delicious pumpkin ravioli, delicious pastrami, and superb crème brûlée! The waiter was kind and professional. Recommended!

05/10/2025: It smells like stale cigarettes inside... The waiter wasn't friendly and offered a primo piatto that wasn't on the menu to other customers who arrived after us, but not to us or the French people sitting next to us. The food was good, however, but the smell and the service won't make us come back. Too bad because we had very good memories of our last visit a few years ago.

20/08/2025: An unpleasant experience on August 15th. We agreed to have lunch with friends during the second sitting at 2:00 PM. The welcome wasn't the best, with the waitress giving us the option of a fixed menu or an "à la carte" option and almost seeming annoyed when we chose the latter. Between dishes arriving halfway, grim-faced staff, and inaccurate bills (the receipt shows items we didn't order being charged), we left with a bitter taste in our mouths (and I don't mean the liquor). My opinion is that if there are more people on certain days, it would be better to avoid shifts and double shifts, to offer a more relaxed and quality service.

12/08/2025: A mountain inn with excellent food and friendly staff! The fixed-price lunch option is excellent. The food was good, plentiful, and reasonably priced! Dining out has become unthinkable these days.

29/06/2025: Sometimes it is useless to mince words to describe the emotions, but it is right to explain why visiting the Cantina Massimago is a beautiful experience! Familiar and comfortable environment, super helpful and qualified staff! Excellent cuisine and excellent service and above all excellent wines! Well-kept apartment, excellent tasting, magnificent dinner and picnic in the vineyard (I emphasize the picnic in the middle of the vineyards, a touch of class). Compliments to all the staff and the passion and commitment shown! Very good

04/10/2025: Excellent food and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The menu is varied, mostly seafood-focused, but there's a good selection for those who don't like seafood. Compliments to the chef; the rib eye steak was cooked to perfection! The dishes are visually stunning; they really make you want to eat more!

14/09/2025: A dinner that was a true journey of flavors. We began with linguine with truffle, fragrant and enveloping, with just the right amount of creaminess to enhance the intense flavor of the truffle without overpowering it. This was followed by two memorable main courses: a tender and juicy wagyu steak, and a bold and flavorful pata negra steak, two different yet excellent interpretations of this quality meat. To refresh the palate, a balanced and pleasant selection of sorbets, perfect for lightening up the meal. To conclude, a traditional dessert with a touch of elegance: sbrisolona with mascarpone cream, creamy yet crunchy, accompanied by a glass of Bracchetto, an aromatic and slightly sweet wine, made the dinner truly memorable. An experience that combines high-quality ingredients and attention to detail.

31/05/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We ate really well! The fillet was very tender, tasty and perfectly cooked rare. The wine was excellent, carefully selected. The service was impeccable: friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. It's a shame we didn't dine outside, but we will definitely return when it's warmer, because the view is fabulous! A place that we absolutely recommend for a romantic dinner 🥰*. See you soon!

07/05/2025: We were due to visit Tenuta Le Cave for our honeymoon on Tuesday 1st October but due to a sudden death in my family 1 day prior to our wedding we had to postpone all our wedding and as a result also our honeymoon. This experience has been daunting and difficult enough butwhen we contacted Tenuta Le Cave to request a rescheduling due to the sudden loss, they told us that we will lose out on our deposit because they can’t do refunds. They have been so poor and unhelpful. We were not looking for a refund, we simply just wanted to reschedule. As a honeymoon present we were gifted 250€ voucher to use at their venue so we will unfortunately we will have to still stay with them as they will not allow us to refund that either (which is understandable) but I couldn’t let this go without highlighting the poor customer service they have and how they have dealt with our circumstance. Pictures of the responses from them attached. Again; I would like to highlight we were NOT looking for a refund as they kept insisting on in their email responses. Would not recommend this hotel purely based on their humanity or lack thereof. Will not look forward to staying here in the future but we’ve already lost out on so much so to avoid losing out on any more we will have to.

01/10/2025: The garden is nice, the food is nothing special. The staff is very kind, but the lady at the cash register isn't exactly. She even forgot to give me a receipt.

27/09/2025: As an expert reviewer and member of AIS (Italian Sommelier Association), we returned to this Roman restaurant at the suggestion of a friend. We probably found the kitchen and staff having a bad day... the restaurant was packed! But let's start with the drinks: the wine list is good, but there's only one red and two white wines by the glass... honestly, a limited selection. I understand that they want to push customers to buy a bottle, but in today's context, to save their driving license, it would be better to expand the selection! Wine was poured at the bar and not at the table without presenting the bottle. A friend asked for a beer and there was no choice, only draft lager and no bottles. The food: Jewish-style artichokes that had little of the original recipe, I would call them assassin-style artichokes... they were dry and overcooked, probably fried in the fryer, and tasted of fish (a friend with a fish allergy asked if the French fries were cooked and not contaminated by fish, the answer was no, so I assume the same oil was used for everything). However, apart from the heart of the artichoke, the rest should be discarded because it was dry. We ordered the first courses, two people ordered the carbonara and the feedback was positive, while I and two other friends ordered the cacio e pepe... definitely a terrible dish, which all three found to be reheated and without the necessary cream, the cheese had clumps and the pasta was overcooked... I left about 70% on the plate, a friend ate it all and his wife left 50%, I called the owner to tell her about the failed dish, she replied that I should have told her about the problem immediately, but she would have remade the dishes for me, I replied that it wasn't the case... but another cacio e pepe was forcibly prepared... perhaps they were afraid that I didn't want to pay for it, another friend who lived in Rome wanted to eat it, but after one bite he left it all there!! Asserting that in his opinion, but also in my opinion, the pasta undergoes pre-cooking... at this point we no longer order anything and ask for the bill, where we find an error in the table settings: we booked for 8 and were charged 9, a venial sin that was remedied immediately, but the bill didn't go smoothly either!! If I were the owner, I wouldn't have charged for the dish and would have tried to keep the customers... I understand that in Peschiera del Garda the turnover of tourists is considerable, therefore, especially in the summer months, there is no shortage of customers!! However, catering done with passion, with the aim of satisfying the customer, is not this!!

15/10/2025: What a fantastic restaurant! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere inside was charming and it seemed like it was a favorite amongst the locals. We loved it so much that we went back another night for dinner :) Thanks for two lovely evenings :)
