26/06/2025: Super nice location at the arena of Verona. The staff was friendly and fast. Definitely recommended for a drink or a bite to eat. The food was fine and a good price-quality ratio. Unfortunately our food did not arrive at the same time, that was a bit less. Furthermore a nice place to sit for a while and enjoy the surroundings.

29/04/2025: Heir to the famous "da Ferri" bottle shop, as the old Veronese still call it, it is an elegant place without exceeding in luxury. Good cuisine and wine list. Prices not popular, but still in line with those of the area. Plus point: the Arena is a hundred meters away!

18/06/2025: We came across Casa Fernandez on Friday evening, after having spotted their paella several times during various trips to Garda… and finally decided to try it! We booked a couple of hours in advance (the paella is on request — it is highly recommended to book in advance also because the restaurant has few seats and fills up quickly). The restaurant is located in a charming street in the center, a few minutes from the lakefront. The atmosphere is simple and authentic, perfect for a relaxing dinner. We chose the traditional Valencian paella: a large portion and really tasty (the photos speak for themselves - “Clean plates don’t lie”). We accompanied it all with half a liter of sangria and still water, spending about 25 euros each, an excellent quality-price ratio. One detail that we really appreciated: the owners speak Spanish among themselves, which adds a nice touch of authenticity — I imagine they are originally from Spain. In short: excellent dinner. We will definitely be back!

22/06/2025: Takeaway order, 28 pizzas. Punctual on timing for sure, but not on updating prices. Pizzas chosen on the official website of the pizzeria, out of 28 none had the correct price, all had undergone a markup from 30 to 70 cents. Since the website also allows table reservations, and therefore is viewed more easily, the menu was also updated quickly. Judgment on the pizza, neither praise nor infamy.

21/06/2025: My partner and I were in the area and stopped, I ordered a cutting board that also had giardiniera.. it arrived without it.. I pointed it out and the waitress told me that it hadn't been there for a while and they should have told me when I ordered!! Okay, never mind, I say to my partner, then at the cash register the young lady who gave me the bill asks if everything is okay to which I reply that the giardiniera was missing but she doesn't make a gesture or a word; I repeat the problem (let's be clear, the 2 euros are not the problem) she is always very ignorant.. my partner also starts to get nervous and repeats the problem but this young girl can't hear us and it means disrespect. At which point another employee intervenes and says that they need to update the menu! Ok, I'm fine with the answer now but that this young employee at the cash register can't handle a trivial situation is not fine with me which adds to a lack of respect towards 2 experienced adults who travel the world.

I will definitely return to taste the proposals of the à la carte menu, peeking at the neighboring tables some very nice dishes passed by,.

26/06/2025: I returned to Bistró del Borgo Valpolicella for the second time and, once again, it was a beautiful experience. The setting is truly enchanting, with a breathtaking view that alone is worth the visit. The place manages to perfectly combine a romantic and at the same time familiar atmosphere, creating a sense of welcome and warmth that is difficult to find elsewhere. The staff is extremely polite, knowledgeable and always available. A special round of applause to the owner, Serena, who with her professionalism and courtesy makes everything even more special. I highly recommend

17/06/2025: Literally Speechless, I had been wanting to come to this place for a long time and I was truly satisfied. Excellent cuisine, beautiful place, kind and helpful service, outside view nothing short of stunning and honest bill. I will definitely be back.

13/06/2025: I booked the wrong hotel too far away from the centre of town. We couldn’t get a taxi into town to get a meal. This Restuarant was 700m from our hotel and we were desperate. What a find! A great way to finish the day. The food was outstanding. I started with scallops and then I had fish and shellfish tomato soup which was a big meal. The presentation of the food and the quality was outstanding. Service was just right. What a great find. We were glad we didn’t go into town. This is the best Restuarant we have been to in a very long time. Highly recommended

17/04/2025: On the advice of a friend we went to eat at this restaurant, never a more appropriate choice. We had a really good time, quality fish at a fair price, the place is not posh but the service girl was very pleasant and friendly, I will definitely be back. Highly recommended
