04/11/2024: Friendly staff, very nice place, quality products

04/11/2024: Stuck on the motorway since 4.30pm, I decide to go out to "gain" time and then have dinner. I book with the well-known app (I refrain from saying what I think) and head to the "chosen" restaurant. Outside the door I am amazed to find the restaurant closed (luckily for me) and with the good, dear, old habit I ask a native where I can have dinner. Fortunately, I am directed to this place. Already at the reception the harmony is struck. Good and very polite guys, they make us feel like family. For dinner we had clear ideas and so we didn't delve into the menu, but I saw some first courses that if they were half as good as they looked, that was already enough. However we consumed a house appetizer with good cured meats as well as cheeses. The "focaccia" to accompany it all (perhaps without yeast) was particular but it was so good that I won't tell you. Followed by just 1 kg of "local" fat from a good person, but a good one that I won't tell you about. Two desserts made by them and 1 liter of house wine (from a nearby winery) which is a full 8 for the price/quality ratio. The nice thing was the chat while I waited for the bill. The freshly cooked chestnuts offered and the tasting of the new oil on the bruschetta were very welcome. The price is more than honest. I will definitely return more than once.

29/11/2024: We had lunch on the way back from the falls. Absolutely cute place. The owner and his son were extremely friendly and nice. Very high level lunch with high quality products (cheeses and cured meats of their own production). We really enjoyed eating. I highly recommend it. Quality and price in line.

29/11/2024: Abbiamo pranzato di ritorno dalle cascate. Locale assolutamente carino. Il proprietario ed il figlio estremamente cordiali e simpatici. Pranzo di altissimo livello con prodotti di alta qualità (formaggi e a salumi di loro produzione). Abbiamo mangiato davvero con piacere. Lo consiglio vivamente. Qualità e prezzo in linea.

11/08/2024: Wonderful experience. The restaurant is located first of all in a former sixteenth-century stately building, with a very fascinating history that we recommend you ask to be told on site; we had dinner in the internal courtyard, but the room with the large fireplace and the small, more romantic terrace are also splendid. The menu also caters for vegetarian needs, which is much appreciated. Everything we tasted was delicious, from the gnocchi to the Sagrantino, to the buffalo stew, to the dessert; the attention to the quality of the ingredients was evident in the goodness of some very simple dishes such as buffalo scamorza or garden tomatoes. The more than honest prices and the friendliness of all the staff complete a visit that we can't wait to repeat.

09/12/2024: They told us about a beautiful place but we didn't imagine it being so suggestive. Extremely refined and reserved coffee table for two. Thanks to all the small rooms set within the walls, where the tables are welcomed, you have the feeling of having the restaurant just for yourself. Obviously this wonderful location goes hand in hand with excellent cuisine, the dishes are impeccable and extremely well prepared, all accompanied by a very attentive and never intrusive service. Congratulations to the owner and all the staff. We will be back soon.

07/12/2024: Restaurant located in one of the squares of Orvieto, courteous staff, very nice place, good food but a point of merit goes to the vegetables, all strictly fresh taken from the market, which stand out from the usual frozen and chopped vegetables found in other restaurants.

09/08/2024: The friendliness of the service prevails, but the typical dishes, the quality of the wines, the low prices and the restaurant just outside the waterfall park, therefore reachable on foot, are to be praised

08/08/2024: Been just now. Excellent food, very good chef, excellent products, satisfactory service. The owner is a humble and exquisite person, very approachable and makes you feel almost at home. These guys really deserve to take off!! A hug and see you next time from the sorbet people! Kisses from Rome and good work!!!

11/11/2024: Ho avuto modo di frequentare il centro di Narni per lavoro, un paio di sere. Alla ricerca di un posto dove bere qualcosa dopo cena, mi sono imbattuto nella Mamarama, un'aperiscoteca che mi ha sorpreso sotto tutti i punti di vista . Prezzi competitivi, cibo di qualità, personale gentile e alla mano, con cui è stato un piacere scambiare due chiacchiere. Il persichetto, drink locale, una fantastica scoperta. Dovessi tornare a Narni, non mancherò una visita a Mamarama

03/10/2024: Excellent food. Nicely prepared. Friendly service. Husband and wife run restaurant. He is the chef. Utterly wonderfully prepared duck. Perfect fettuccine with lots of fresh black truffle. A lovely Greek salad. It was almost enough to get us to change our travel plans and stay on in Orvieto.

21/11/2024: Come ho spiegato al maitre di sala, tra i ristoranti che più colpiscono, ne esistono di due tipi: quelli che ti regalano grande godimento lasciandoti un bel ricordo, ricordo che però nel tempo tende a sbiadirsi, sostituito dalle nuove esperienze. E poi quelli che invece ti rimangono incastonati nella mente per anni, forse decenni. Ebbene, dei primi ne ho provati tanti (anche perché cerco di andare sempre a colpo sicuro) , tanti hanno ricevuto le mie 5 stelle, tanti ne ho elogiati e tanti ne ho consigliati in giro per l’Italia. Ma pochissimi, forse 2-3, sono rimasti scolpiti in maniera indelebile nella mia mente. Questi meriterebbero 6 stelle. Senza troppi giri di parole, Trattoria dell’Orso è uno di questi. Può sembrare un panegirico artefatto, un encomio eccessivo, ma vi assicuro che io un ragù di cinghiale così, una tagliata di manzo al tartufo così, uno stinco così, non li ho mai assaggiati in vita mia, e molto, molto difficilmente li troverò altrove. Da nessuna parte. Trattoria dell’Orso sul mio podio personale tra gli oltre 300 degni di nota provati negli ultimi 10 anni. E forse sul podio più alto.

18/11/2024: Mi spiace, ma spero sia di aiuto alla proprietà. le sole cose positive sono la gentilezza del personale e la pulizia del bagno. purtroppo l'abbacchio era un pezzo unico con molto osso e un po' duro ( probabilmente fatto espresso e quindi non si è cotto a sufficienza ne' insaporito ) , la crostata di ciliegie presentata sul piatto con dei ghirigori di succo di ciliegie molto anni 80. Capisco la difficoltà di trovare personale, ma qui ne va del buon nome di questo locale che ho conosciuto 15 anni fa ed era di buona qualità. Peccato.Spero che possano riprendere in mano la situazione

10/11/2024: Recommended to us by locals. We were passing through and didn't want to dine in a place with tourist menus. No sooner said than done! A pleasant surprise for more than one reason. Owner/staff Alessandra and Laura are very competent and have very clear ideas about customer expectations, Umbrian kindness and courtesy, exhaustive explanations of the dishes that make us regret having just one dinner (we only stayed one night). Raw materials of excellent quality and impeccable workmanship with rigorous respect for tradition I imagine. Definitely superior result without any space for observations regarding cooking and cooking processes. Every request treated with wide availability. In detail: we had two masterfully cooked first courses of exceptional flavor (egg tagliolini with black summer truffle and other pasta with rocket sausage sauce etc.) with homemade pasta. The plate of typical cured meats and cheeses is excellent. Two simple but also very good side dishes (sautéed chicory and mushrooms). Very high quality/price ratio. Too bad we can't come back soon to taste the entire menu that the very nice Laura illustrated to us with expert accuracy. 16/08/2024: Fantastic service. We ordered spritz, Manhattan and non alcohol coctail accompanied with many goodies. If you drive to the lake do not forget to pay a visit over here.

15/08/2024: Discreet bar, with a split compared to the staff, very friendly or some, or rather 1 woman at the tables, who would be advised to clear a job or rest.

18/08/2024: Sono stato in questo ristorante pizzeria, con la mia famiglia, a fine Luglio. Locale semplice ma ben tenuto e pulito. Propone sia pizza, che piatti locali e generosi hamburger. Tutto buono con poca spesa. Servizio attento e cortese.
