We benefitted from recommendations from our host at our accommodation and gave us 4 restaurants that locals rate highly with Trattoria dell’Orso being one of them. Again, a very popular restaurant where you should book at least a day in advance. We started by sharing a special tagliatelle ai asparagi with freshly made tagliatelle and sweet asparagus in a subtle cream sauce. A very nice dish to start. I then had the stuffed pigeon, a specialty of Orvieto from medieval times where the pigeons were raised in caves on the cliff edge. The pigeon was beautifully tender and the stuffing lovely. My wife had the salted cod in a chickpea puree which was very enjoyable. We shared a tiramisu that had a custard top rather than cream - very light and airy. The only disappointment was the house Orviet Classico which was a little sharp for our taste. Overall a lovely dining experience.

We didn't have a reservation and they still managed to accommodate us. Quick and friendly service. The truffle pasta was perfect and the tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had.

I visited after finding out about this place by chance :) I really enjoyed the Wild Boar Pasta and the Signature Tomato Pasta~~!! Thank you for your kindness, and I will come again if I get the chance.!!

An excellent restaurant, starting with the owner's kindness, who managed to find us a table for dinner even though we hadn't booked, and prepared it within the promised ten minutes. The atmosphere is warm, informal, yet elegant. The dishes we tried were extraordinary: hand-rolled tagliatelle with local truffles, slow-cooked duck breast, a tasting of local oils, and cod in oil with chickpea cream and squid ink coral. The duck breast, in particular, was breathtaking for its texture, the flavor of the meat and the sauce, and the pairing with the caramelized onion. All thanks to the expert hand of chef Hanna, who meticulously manages the cooking and the quality of the ingredients. The wine list is beautiful, with unusual choices, and an excellent selection of local whites (we're in Orvieto) and reds. It's surprising it's not mentioned by the Gambero Rosso. We'll try it again as soon as possible.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our tour group.
The pasta was especially delicious, but all the other dishes were excellent as well. I think it was the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life.
The restaurant's atmosphere was also wonderful, with warm, inviting wooden carvings. I would definitely like to visit again.
