During our short Easter break in Orvieto, my wife and I dined at this restaurant, and we were so thrilled we returned the next evening! The owner offered a warm and friendly welcome, and the menu was extensive and inviting, including many grilled specialties, available in the dining room, as well as tasty appetizers and excellent first courses, including truffles. Mrs. Maria Francesca kindly guided us through the selection of delicious and delicious dishes, providing excellent recommendations. We truly enjoyed our meal. We highly recommend it!

Good food, top-quality ingredients. Shame about the service. The wait was ridiculous. We came in at 8:30 PM and left at 11:00 PM for a two-course dinner. We mentioned this to the owner and she told us she's been in the business for 50 years. A little more humility is needed in life... Excellent value for money. The place has all the makings of a 5-star restaurant, but it's a shame about the service. I don't know if I'll be back.

The menu focuses on Italian and Umbrian cuisine: appetizers of cured meats and fried vegetables, first courses like pappardelle with wild boar or ravioli with fava beans and cheese, and excellent grilled meats. I particularly enjoyed the Florentine steak and the mixed grill, both expertly cooked, and the desserts were also a pleasant surprise. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, ready to recommend the perfect wine or explain the specials of the day. Sure, service can sometimes be a bit slow when the place is busy, but for me, that's part of the charm of a "real" place, not a tourist destination. The value for money is more than fair considering the quality of the food and the view: we were truly satisfied and eager to return, perhaps to try other dishes from their cuisine. In short, if you're passing through Orvieto and want a tasty dinner with Umbrian dishes, a beautiful view, and a welcoming atmosphere, Girarrosto del Buongustaio is one of those places definitely worth a try.

The waitress, Sofia, was kind, smiling, and very knowledgeable, always ready to satisfy every request with great courtesy. A big round of applause also goes to the grill chef, Elisabetta, who is truly excellent: professional, precise, clean, and with an evident expertise that is directly reflected in the quality of the dishes. The prices are commensurate with the quality of the food, a touch lower because the quality is truly top-notch. The tables are a good size and comfortable for a quiet dinner. Reservations are highly recommended. The service is professional and attentive, provided by people who know their job just as well as the kitchen staff. The atmosphere is charming, yet traditional; in the summer, the view of the old city from the terrace is magnificent. Parking is ample and free, commensurate with the size of the restaurant. An excellent culinary experience respecting tradition. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
