All these elements are brought to life by the heart and soul of the incredible and incredibly talented Patron Chef Katia Trippanera. She possesses an absolute, top-notch technique that allows her to work the ingredients like very few others, resulting in dishes that are beyond unique and incredibly flavorful, but above all...simple. Her management is a tribute to patience and quality: here, service is entirely express, meaning every dish is created the moment you order it. The expertly crafted ingredients, beyond perfection, blend seamlessly with the highest-quality raw materials, used with incredible skill. The dishes intoxicate the palate and the senses...everything is a caress for the soul. The cooking of the ingredients is sublime. Here, cooking and drinking, rigorously traditional, are a true art, a journey through sight, smell, and taste, but above all through the feelings and emotions that the Chef, preparing unique dishes, evokes in those who enjoy them. There is no such thing as pre-cooked or frozen; every ingredient exudes freshness and respect for nature's cycle. The game is, without a doubt, spectacular. 05/05/2026: Yesterday we had the pleasure of lunch at Ristorante Montenero, a true gem in the Amelia countryside, which this year celebrates an extraordinary milestone: 100 years in business, since 1926. A family-run trattoria that has successfully reinvented itself in its hospitality without ever betraying its soul: that of authentic Umbrian tradition. Dishes that tell a story of authentic flavors and passion, such as the hearty and authentic handmade fettuccine with ragù, game, pan-fried chicken, stewed mutton, and coratella (a kind of lamb cutlet). All prepared with local produce and the highest-quality ingredients. But beyond the cuisine, what truly strikes you is the atmosphere: a warm, family-friendly environment where you immediately feel at home. One of those rare places that still retains the profound sense of time-honored hospitality. My sincere congratulations to the entire staff for preserving and passing on such an important tradition. 12/04/2026: We ate an excellent pizza, cooked to perfection and with excellent ingredients, in the heart of Assisi, highly recommended.

08/04/2026: I came back here again to enjoy the great food and atmosphere. We came at lunch time, where we waited a little longer for our food, but we must say that we all enjoyed ourselves. The fresh fish was amazing.....the homemade pasta tasted like grandma's and everything was just great. I will definitely come back here again when I pass by.

09/06/2026: Tagliolini, for example, excellent dough, with truffles, but you couldn't taste it. It was reported that it wasn't the right season. The grilled meats, lamb, and pork, were really good. The tables, in my opinion, even though they are vintage with exposed rough wood, should be covered with something to put bread on, for example.

02/06/2026: Food with minimal portions, like tastings, 3 stars just for that, and high prices considering the type of restaurant. At least they could have made larger portions. Unfortunately, they brought the starters separately, one before the appetizer my partner had ordered, and one after. Then the waiter asked me, "You're not eating," while my partner was eating the starter.

05/04/2026: Terrible, almost an hour and a half to wait for the food, the waiter responded rudely to my request, not even a basket of bread and breadsticks during the wait, the drinks were always brought very late. I understand the overcrowding of the day but the waiter was really rude in responding to the customer in this manner.

02/07/2026: The restaurant is located in a stunning 14th-century building (the fireplace is also wonderful). The waiter is helpful and friendly, and the grilled mortadella appetizer and strangozzi are excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant, located in the center of the beautiful medieval village. Parking is available in the nearby square.

30/06/2026: The hospitality is like being welcomed by a family member! The atmosphere is homely and the food is exquisite! You can taste it in both the presentation and the flavor, as it's cooked with love and passion! Everything was excellent, from the appetizers to the digestifs (also homemade). The rice, potatoes, and mussels were one of the best I've ever had, and the roasted mussels were delicious. Good value for money. We'll be back when we're passing through!

01/05/2026: We arrived on May 1st at 12:00 PM without a reservation, hoping to eat since we were traveling. We were greeted with extreme kindness (we have a 10-month-old baby and a 3-year-old girl with us). Everyone was very professional but above all loving; it felt like we were having lunch with family. The food was exquisite and delicious. Two crescie, a ravioli, a chicken breast, spinach, and water for €40. The portions were incredibly generous. If we had spent even €20 more, I would have thought the bill was fair given the portions. Every time we pass by, we'll definitely stop for lunch. It was a great pleasure.

25/05/2026: The best restaurant I've tried in recent times!!! A very warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, and appetizers and main courses unlike anything I've had in years!!! The quality and freshness of the ingredients used make the dishes delicious. I highly recommend the egg with fresh fava beans and the goat cheese as an appetizer. Needless to say: highly recommended!!!

11/06/2026: We stopped in Cascia for the sanctuary of Santa Rita and then stopped at this trattoria. It was a perfect choice; the owner, Walter, welcomed us very warmly without having to reserve a table for four. We ordered four tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, expertly prepared and seasoned in the kitchen by his wife. The aroma and the hunger meant we didn't have time to take any photos. ☺️ "We recommend." For the main course, pork chop and various side dishes. Finally, he delighted us with the house dessert. We personally complimented him and now we want to share this experience with other travelers. Thank you again for your kindness and availability. 💯💯
