It's a wonderful place made up of exceptional and special people. Incredible elements and synergies of flavor are the best you could wish for. All these elements are brought to life by the heart and soul of the incredible and incredibly talented Patron Chef Katia Trippanera. She possesses an absolute, top-notch technique that allows her to work the ingredients like very few others, resulting in dishes that are beyond unique and incredibly flavorful, but above all...simple. Her management is a tribute to patience and quality: here, service is entirely express, meaning every dish is created the moment you order it. The expertly crafted ingredients, beyond perfection, blend seamlessly with the highest-quality raw materials, used with incredible skill. The dishes intoxicate the palate and the senses...everything is a caress for the soul. The cooking of the ingredients is sublime. Here, cooking and drinking, rigorously traditional, are a true art, a journey through sight, smell, and taste, but above all through the feelings and emotions that the Chef, preparing unique dishes, evokes in those who enjoy them. There is no such thing as pre-cooked or frozen; every ingredient exudes freshness and respect for nature's cycle. The game is, without a doubt, spectacular. Katia handles ingredients like rabbit, pheasant, pigeon, duck, wild boar, and the legendary wood pigeon with timeless mastery, enhancing their gamey flavors with impeccable cooking that preserves their juiciness and character. The fresh pasta, strictly homemade, becomes the perfect canvas for incredible sauces, rich in history and flavor. But Montenero is not just food; it's a human experience. The kindness of the owners is that "something extra" that envelops the guest, transforming a meal into a gathering of friends. Since I moved to Amelia, this place has become my refuge: a safe haven for those who, like me, seek substance, the true essence of food, and the truth on the plate. 05/05/2026: Yesterday we had the pleasure of lunch at Ristorante Montenero, a true gem in the Amelia countryside, which this year celebrates an extraordinary milestone: 100 years in business, since 1926. A family-run trattoria that has successfully reinvented itself in its hospitality without ever betraying its soul: that of authentic Umbrian tradition. Dishes that tell a story of authentic flavors and passion, such as the hearty and authentic handmade fettuccine with ragù, game, pan-fried chicken, stewed mutton, and coratella (a kind of lamb cutlet). All prepared with local produce and the highest-quality ingredients. But beyond the cuisine, what truly strikes you is the atmosphere: a warm, family-friendly environment where you immediately feel at home. One of those rare places that still retains the profound sense of time-honored hospitality. My sincere congratulations to the entire staff for preserving and passing on such an important tradition. 09/06/2026: I had a fantastic birthday, the food was spectacular. The owner and his staff were equally spectacular. I highly recommend it if you want to eat well.

31/05/2026: We came here somewhat by chance; we weren't sure where to go, and I admit it was a last-minute stopgap. Besides the stunning village, we were also greeted by this place, nestled in a peaceful corner that in my head screamed "serendipity." We were incredibly surprised and impressed by every dish: authentic, flavorful, with excellent ingredients, a blend of old and new. Chef Diego's influence is clearly evident. The staff was also incredibly friendly! I don't know what else to say; it was one of the most memorable dinners of our lives and certainly the best Umbrian gastronomic experience. The price was a bit above average, but absolutely in line with the quality. A must-visit if we ever return (hopefully soon) to this area!

16/05/2026: A treat in the center of Gubbio. We ate excellent food in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful; they even went to get us gloves because it was pouring with rain and we were on our motorcycles. If you want to eat well in a peaceful setting, this is the place.

14/05/2026: I’m gluten free and dairy free and they were able to cater to my dietary needs. The vegan flavors were light and tasteful and the gluten free cone had the perfect crunch. I am ready to go back for more!!

11/05/2026: The best gelato in Perugia, located at the foot of the Sant'Ercolano steps. Unique flavors showcasing all the ingredients, and a perfect creaminess. I recommend the fig and almond ones.

09/05/2026: We booked for just one night, the place is beautiful. We ate there for dinner, the menu was varied and delicious, and the breakfast was plentiful and varied. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the owner was also a kindhearted man. I would return again. Thank you for everything.

25/05/2026: The best restaurant I've tried in recent times!!! A very warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, and appetizers and main courses unlike anything I've had in years!!! The quality and freshness of the ingredients used make the dishes delicious. I highly recommend the egg with fresh fava beans and the goat cheese as an appetizer. Needless to say: highly recommended!!!

03/06/2026: A restaurant in the center of Trevi that perfectly follows tradition, serving typical dishes that celebrate the village celery festival. My family and I went to eat here. From the very beginning, the restaurant appeared well-kept and well-maintained, featuring several rooms with vaulted ceilings and stonework, all historic. I personally tried a warm tart as an appetizer, a truffle tortellino, and a stuffed pigeon. Obviously, everything was delicious, but the friendliness of the staff also made the evening enjoyable. We recommend it!

31/05/2026: We had lunch at the end of May at this lovely tavern in this charming village. We're a couple. An appetizer of asparagus and egg, white lasagna, strangozzi with summer truffle, and millefeuille. Everything was truly excellent, with one small complaint: some of the asparagus stalks were a bit too "tough." The first courses arrived a bit too late. But we're really talking about the details. If I could give it a rating, it'd be just under 5, but the friendliness and kindness of the waiters bring it back to the top. In short, a highly recommended place that takes care of its customers even on holidays and where the quality is high. Good!

I understand the overcrowding of the day but the waiter was really rude in responding to the customer in this manner.
