16/05/2025: Small place, a bit hidden, a treasure to be discovered. I generally don't like lentils very much, but I tried the ones on the menu as an appetizer (taken by those who were eating with me) and I ordered one for myself: exceptional is an understatement. Very good first courses, I didn't immediately listen to their advice on the wine and I was wrong. I then asked for what they recommended and I found it very good. Very kind and friendly staff, attentive and patient even with us who were a bit hesitant. Definitely a place to return to, if I lived nearby it would definitely be a regular stop. Thank you so much for the really delicious dinner.

05/05/2025: Locale accogliente e servizio cordiale. Il tagliere di salumi e formaggi è di qualità superiore ed estremamente abbondante. Da dividere in due o da gustare come piatto unico. Ottimo il primo con il tartufo nero di Norcia. Buono anche il sagrantino della casa. Prezzo in linea con la qualità dei piatti.

11/05/2025: An excellent dinner in this restaurant, a little hidden but with delicious traditional dishes and great quality of products. Inside you will find a large room furnished with care and also a garden for the warm season. The service is very effective and the staff are very friendly and discreet. The accurate description of the suggested wines was also greatly appreciated. In summary we were very satisfied with the quality of the dishes chosen.

03/05/2025: We had the €80 per/person 25 year tasting menu and it was absolute perfection. 3 appetizers, 2 pastas, 1 main and a dessert (and a €40 red to compliment). Every dish was better than the last. Some of the best food I have ever had. Bianca's wine recommendation was gorgeous too. Thank you so much to everyone.

03/05/2025: We had a wonderful dinner at Lillo Tatini, a restaurant located in the small medieval town of Panicale. We stayed in Panicale for a couple of nights, and this restaurant was definitely one of the highlights. It’s a family-owned, Michelin-listed gem. Since the weather was perfect, we got to sit outside. The owner and his daughter greeted us with big smiles. He was an excellent storyteller and kindly took the time to explain the menu in detail. The name of the restaurant, Lillo Tatini, is the owner's nickname, given to him by his grandfather. His wife, who is also the chef, suggested naming the restaurant after it. How adorable is that? We were tempted by the set menu, but the à la carte options were so intriguing that we had to try a variety of different dishes. For starters, we had chicken liver served on top of delicious bread; two different kinds of liver, both incredibly flavorful. There was also a tripe special on the menu for the evening, and we couldn’t resist. It was so tender and tasty. I never knew tripe could be that soft and full of flavor. For pasta, we had homemade ravioli stuffed with quail eggs, sautéed with Cinta Senese bacon and special sheep ricotta from Norcia. Holy, so painfully delicious. We also had Paccheri from Gragnano with sausage, mushrooms, and cream, which was equally excellent. Both pasta dishes were absolutely delicious like an amazing Italian mom had cooked them just for us. For the main course, we had a whole pigeon “alla todina,” a traditional recipe with capers and olives, meant to be eaten with your hands. It was fun and incredibly tasty. We also tried baked Cinta Senese pork ribs with roasted potatoes. These French-influenced dishes were uniquely prepared and beautifully presented. As if we weren’t already full, we finished with a chocolate shortbread tart topped with salted caramel, chocolate ganache, and mango. It was divine. The dessert menu itself was printed using the same tools and techniques from the medieval era. So beautiful and fascinating. To top it all off, the chef came outside to say hello and ask about our experience. She was absolutely lovely, and we fell in love with the entire family. If you’re nearby, make time to visit Panicale and experience this incredible restaurant. You won’t regret it—I highly recommend it.

11/05/2025: I returned to eat at this tractor after a few months. I ordered a tagliatelle with truffle and a scallop with porcini mushrooms. All very good. Well prepared and well seasoned. The friendly staff. The place was pleasant as usual. I had a really good time.

26/05/2025: È veramente il pranzo della domenica. Ri-vivi l’emozione culinaria che percepivi quando pranzavi dalla nonna la domenica. L’atmosfera sana che percepivi, i profumi, l’accoglienza che la nonna riusciva a darti in modo incondizionato. Ecco la descrizione visiva che posso darvi dopo aver pranzato al Monte Frumentario. Una ampia scelta di vini accompagneranno i piatti che vorrete gustare. Consiglio i ravioli ripieni di ricotta serviti con una salsa di pistacchio.

05/06/2025: We hadden een lekkere lunch in het recent geopend nieuwe restaurant La Terrazza in Castiglione del Lago. Wat een zalige culinaire beleving, met schitterend zicht op het Trasimeno meer. Proficiat aan Ricardo en zijn team! Perfecte bediening en overheerlijke vis- en vleesgerechten. We komen zeker terug!

05/06/2025: Ristorante La Terrazza is at the same place as the Café Latino before . But what a huge difference !! Completely and very stylish renovated , even for a a large interior , they looked at every detail for the placemats , cutlery , warm colours . But much more importantly : the food and the service . The food was absolutely great ! Fresh , large portions , very tasty prepared and served . Wether you order fish ( as I did , the grilled gamberi ) or meat or fish soup … very nice ! Prices are certainly not too high for a touristic environment Very correct . You will notice also quite some locals there for lunch or dinner . And the wine card : very large , much choice , local ( Trasimeno region and Umbrië ) but from all over Italy . It is an absolute add -on for Castiglione del Lago : high quality food and not ripp off prices for non - locals . Just go and experience for yourself ! And BTW : service was perfect , not had to ask twice or raise hands . Love it ! Thanks team La Terrazza ! 🙏

14/05/2025: We had dinner two nights in a row. The first time everything was excellent. The second night the pasta was raw and the dessert was stale. A place that is still recommended

30/05/2025: I spent a night in one of the apartments of this delightful farmhouse during the silent villages walk. Excellent cleanliness, apartment equipped with everything you need and a splendid terrace with a view, surrounded by greenery. The owner was very kind, and her welcome was warm. A little inconvenient to reach on foot but for the next morning I was suggested an alternative route that avoids the state road. Recommended!

25/05/2025: We had dinner and stayed one night at the agriturismo during the silent villages walk. We had a great time and felt at home. Simona and the rest of the staff were super helpful and welcoming. Delicious dinner, super view, clean apartment :)

20/05/2025: Dinner. Too much waiting about 1 hour. Dishes served out of time. Pizza removed from the menu without warning. Staff running around the room ..... sign of bad organization. Good food, price not like a trattoria but a restaurant 35 euros for two dishes (appetizer or First/second course) anyway at the end of the evening everyone went home
