Tucked inside the Gardena Grödnerhof Hotel & Spa, it blends South Tyrolean roots with a modern mindset, delivering plates that are light, precise, and quietly luxurious alongside a deep, confident cellar curated by an expert sommelier. The room is a love letter to Alpine craft: timber walls and ceilings, soft light, and round tables that make conversation easy—more contemporary Stube than rustic chalet, and freshly renewed in the latest renovation. That warm wood sets the stage for a slow, unrushed meal, where attentive service moves at the pace of the table and the wine pairings land like little high‑fives throughout the night. 03/08/2025: A "Tour of the Alpine Pastures" on the Latemar with a stop at this mountain hut, which is certainly more popular in winter with its classic igloos for a pit stop while skiing. Service is fast, food is good but not exceptional. There are more characteristic locations in the area!

08/08/2025: We weren't staying at the hotel; we just went to the restaurant for dinner. It has an excellent location with good views. The restaurant was cozy. The receptionist, Grabielle, was very pleasant. Dinner was disappointing. The vegetarian dish made no sense at all; it was diced beets with a little oil and salt, with some toasted bread on top. It was supposed to be tartar. We also ordered salads to share. One of them was a mixed bag, like the ones you'd find in any supermarket, with some pieces of chicken and bacon on top, and a sauce that looked like Caesar dressing. The salad was unseasonable. We were hungry and ate the rest of the dishes. The waiter was unsympathetic, bordering on unpleasant. There was one dish we weren't sure we had ordered, and he brought us the menu, telling us and making a face that we had pointed at it. The rest of the dinner was tense. At the end of the meal, one of the diners told him that the salad was horrible—in fact, we didn't eat it—and he replied that it was a good thing we'd eaten the rest of the dishes!!! I think his tone was a bit off. I imagine he was having a bad day, but the truth is he made everything worse than it could have been. We didn't order dessert; we couldn't wait to leave. It's a shame because the place is very nice and cozy.

31/07/2025: My dad loved coming here... He was right! The view is fantastic and relaxing. The food is tasty and varied, suitable for both celiacs and non-celiacs. It's child-friendly, with outdoor games and an indoor kids' club. And there's a lovely pond with two carp that are open to being petted.

06/09/2025: A shop selling typical local products. It's not cheap, but the products are good quality. Local wines are also available. Drinks and snacks are available (mostly starchy foods with cheese and cured meats, and a soup of the day). Vegetarian options are available depending on the soup of the day. Ideal for picking up a local gourmet souvenir.

03/09/2025: We traveled from Rome to Bolzano to try it, based on the numerous excellent reviews, and I must say it didn't disappoint! The place is large, well-maintained, somewhat spartan, but extremely clean. The waiters are extremely kind and, above all, friendly (which I really like). The prices are fair, and above all, the food was excellent! We had two appetizers, two first courses, a second course, and a dessert, spending about a hundred euros. The owner was kind enough to even offer us two complimentary liqueurs! If we're ever in Bolzano again, we'll definitely be back!

08/09/2025: This is the perfect hotel for a hiking holiday! From the rooms to the last little question, everything is perfect, and the team is super friendly and welcoming. If you love modern yet traditional architecture and interior design with lots of old wood, this is the place for you! The hotel is definitely worth a visit!

08/09/2025: My review is only for the restaurant, where we've been three times over the years. It's almost a regular stop, as it's right in front of the parking lot where you leave your car and continue along the trails of the Oclini Pass, which I discovered in 2022. Following the main road is easy, with little incline, but beautiful views: ideal for those like me who no longer hike like they used to, and in 2022... let's forget about it. For outside guests, the restaurant appears simple in its layout and ambiance, with tables outside when the weather permits, or in the dedicated hall. The service, however, is impeccable, with "longtime" staff joined by seasonal workers only for the simplest tasks. The dishes are traditional, with excursions that here in Trentino and Alto Adige commonly include the Milanese steak and the ubiquitous carbonara, which we distance ourselves from. The portions are generous, so be careful when ordering; desserts, on the other hand, are slices for two or three people. A special mention goes to the wine list, not only for its variety, and sticking closely to the local area isn't a limitation, if this is the region; but also because you can choose wines from the list and have just a glass, or a quarter. Be warned: here in Trentino and Alto Adige, a glass of wine is cheap, but it's truly meager (0.1 l). In short, for around fifty euros for two, you can eat enough, with simple dishes done well—everyone knows how to mess around, and then they can give us big names—excellent service, in a quiet atmosphere, with tables close together so you can maybe even chat. Kudos to you.
