21/06/2024: This restaurant far exceeded our expectations! I can honesty say, while the reviews are good, this restaurant should be one not to miss in Ortisei! We absolutely loved everything from the food, to the service, ambiance, staff…the chef clearly invests time and energy and creativity in this this restaurant! It is evident in the dishes, quality of ingredients, presentation, and amazing staff! We couldn’t find a menu online and we figured out it’s because the dishes vary depending on what’s fresh and in season. I loved the Greek salad I had, my husband’s white veal pasta was flavorful and the pasta cooked to perfection! He had excellent lamb chops and I thoroughly enjoyed a tender, juicy and flavorful rib-eye. For dessert we had white chocolate caramelized pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil over gelato. Ridiculously delicious! Outstanding experience and I hope lots of people read this and give Wine Bar Zirm a try!

21/06/2024: Food is amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection, the friendly staff were very helpful and made sure to recommend dishes that met our requirements.

18/08/2024: The pizza tasted very good. However, we paid 62 euros for 3 pizzas and 3 soft drinks. The visit was definitely NOT worth it to me. Especially since the ambience on the terrace doesn't match the steep prices at all. We sat on very simple plastic chairs. No table decorations or anything similar. It's a shame but we can't keep up with the prices anymore.

18/08/2024: Changed for the better, for me, it still remains the best pizza in Alto Adige, a pleasant and sober environment, impeccable service. I've been following them since they were at the swimming pool in Scena, with the change of location they also improved their image.

As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted and shown to a free table. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating without being intrusive. Our orders were taken quickly and we didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food. What was particularly positive was that the waitress regularly asked whether everything was to our satisfaction and also took time for a short conversation, which made the visit very personal. **Food and Drink:** The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the pizza. The selection on the menu was varied, so there was something to suit every taste - from classic pizzas like Margherita and Quattro Stagioni to more creative variations. The pizza we ordered was excellent. The dough was perfect: thin, crispy and yet not dry. The topping was plentiful and of excellent quality - fresh ingredients that harmonized wonderfully in terms of taste. Of particular note was the tomato sauce, which was aromatic and flavorful without overpowering the other ingredients. The cheese was also present in just the right amount so that it didn't make the pizza too heavy but complemented its flavors perfectly. As for the prices, the value for money was more than satisfactory. The pizza was not only delicious, but also inexpensive, which is not always a given these days. The drinks selection was also good, with a decent selection of wines and soft drinks offered at moderate prices. **Conclusion:** The “Laterne” restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It not only offers a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service, but also culinary delights at fair prices. This restaurant is an insider tip, especially for pizza lovers. 13/04/2024: Always top. In times of COVID and after we ordered takeaway money. Then we decided to go in person. The guys, always smiling and kind. The place is quiet and almost never too crowded. The delicious pizzas, always good and special.

01/08/2024: Ein sehr positives Erlebnis! Wir (meine Frau und ich) waren wieder einmal im Urlaub in Tisens und mein Geburtstag viel mitten in diesen Aufenthalt. Also überlegten wir, wo dieser wohl am angenehmsten zu feiern wäre. Mit tollem Essen, super Service, bestem Wein und nettem Ambiente. Unsere Wahl viel auf das Restaurant Kirchsteiger in Völlan, wo wir jedes Jahr 1-2 mal zum Essen waren und immer in höchstem Maße zufrieden gestellt wurden. Man versprach uns ein tolles Geburtstagsmenü und was soll ich sagen..... das Versprechen wurde mehr als erfüllt. Seht euch die Menükarte und die Fotos an. Leider habe ich vergessen, den Gruß aus der Küche und das Dessert zu fotografieren. Aber ich garantiere euch, auch diese beiden Gänge waren ein Hammer. Dann noch diese unglaubliche Weinauswahl, aus welcher wir auch einen besonderen Tropfen von der Sommeliere empfohlen und dekantiert bekamen. Das Essen war in allen Details etwas ganz Besonderes. Der Service sehr zuvorkommend und professionell. Gedeck, Tischgestaltung und Ambiente auf der Terrasse ebenfalls Höchstnote. Lieber Guide Michelin, wo warst du, als dieses Jahr die Sterne vergeben wurden? Unser Abend hat auf jeden Fall einen deiner begehrten Trophäen verdient! Ein Hirschfilet in dieser geschmacklichen Einzigartigkeit hatte ich zuvor noch nie gegessen. Aber auch alles Andere war jede einzelne, sündhafte Kalorie wert. Und dann noch dieser Wein...... Die Preise: Nicht billig, aber absolut fair (Mittelfeld); jeden Euro wert. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung!

14/07/2024: Rooms are better than you would expect when you see the house from the outside. Otherwise everything is fine. I can't understand what some others are writing negatively about here. The rooms are clean, renovated and air conditioned. The staff is friendly and helpful.

22/07/2024: We had our graduation dinner here. Was recommended to us by our host Georg (Hotel Taufers). Reason: regional and good food. We simply went there without a reservation (Sunday) at 6 p.m., we were lucky a table wasn't reserved until 8 p.m. and the ladies welcomed us. And it was just great. Very fine food in a special ambience. Worthy of a graduation dinner. We say “many thanks to the whole team for the great and spontaneous hospitality and the excellent food”. We will remember this holiday, also thanks to you. Maybe we see us again.

07/07/2024: Good service and excellent desserts. We were regular visitors about 30 years ago under the old management and we have wonderful memories. Many things have changed but we had a good time.

23/08/2024: Super delicious handmade pasta prepared by a very friendly chef. If the chef can talk for 3 minutes about why he chooses which Pecorino, you know you're in the right place. Clear recommendation!

09/03/2024: Really beautiful location, the glass on the ceiling is striking Exceptional amuse bouche, a tomato soup First and second starters also exceptional. Our rating for the entire dinner is a 9, we had a good time and ate well.

21/02/2024: Elegant place but with that touch of informality that makes it very livable. It's not the restaurant that intimidates. Their sharing policy is well publicized. The service is of quality, discreet people who know how to treat the customer very well. The cuisine is excellent and each dish can be easily shared with the other people at the table, in order to give a taste experience without feeling weighed down by the obligation of having to face many dishes. The very well-stocked wine list completes.

31/07/2024: If there is coffee perfection, you can taste it in this place. I had the opportunity to test coffee in several months in Bolzano, and it was ok in all of them. However, all other places lag far behind in comparison to Cafe Riesen, where the coffee was delicious, delicate, aromatic, with cream-like foam. Plus very nice service.
