18/07/2026: An excellent experience at this typical Lucchese osteria. Attentive, helpful, and communicative service. The cured meats are delicate, the tortelli ragù is exceptional, the beef sirloin is perfectly cooked, and the porchetta has a unique balance of flavors. Prices are reasonable, considering the area average. Definitely worth trying at least once, but reservations are recommended as the place is small.

21/06/2026: Arriving at the place from the outside I was tempted to leave... anonymous and in a decentralized location. As soon as we opened the entrance door it was magical. The place is small but very well-kept. The furnishings and table are truly unique and beautiful. The place is very clean and pleasant. Federico, discreet and competent, welcomed us, pampered us and recommended very special wines. The dishes that arrived from the kitchen quickly were unique and very tasty, but with extraordinary flavor and very unique. Presented with great care. The welcome cuddles made the experience truly pleasant. The bitters were appreciated and the desserts were truly delicious. Well done guys, you are worthy of applause. Keep it up, don't disappoint anyone, on the contrary, continue to surprise us!

06/08/2026: Whenever I go to Vagli for a day trip, perhaps to escape the heat of the plain, I always go to this place for lunch for many years. The food is excellent, plentiful and home-made, but the highlight is the terrace overlooking the lake and mountains, which says it all. I recommend it with my eyes closed.

15/02/2026: The food was excellent! The pasta is fresh, and the tomato sauce is made daily — you can really taste the quality and care in every dish. They also offer special dishes that are not on the regular menu, which makes the experience even more unique and exciting. Farouk, the new owner, is incredibly friendly and generous. He truly cares that the food is delicious and that all the guests leave happy and satisfied. His personal attention really makes a difference. Highly recommended!

08/04/2026: Food to die for - which you might do getting there if you are not careful as the roads are incredibly steep and twisty. But make the effort as wonderful food, incredible views, lovely friendly staff, and very good value at €12 for the set menu (two courses wine and coffee!!!!)

02/08/2026: I went for the famous realistic fruit. I have to be honest... I'd already tried it at another pastry shop for a euro less, but I think it's much better here. If you want a bold flavor, go for the peanut, while if you want a fresher taste, the watermelon is exceptional.

12/07/2026: We visited this restaurant and were truly satisfied. The restaurant is spacious and boasts a beautiful outdoor area, well-maintained and a pleasant place to spend an evening with friends. The staff also deserves special mention, as they were extremely kind and welcoming. We opted for the €35 fixed menu (drinks not included), which proved to be an excellent choice both for the quality of the ingredients and the generous portions: - Appetizer: A trio of bruschetta (with tomato, with liver pâté, and with lard and truffle). The lard and truffle one was nothing short of exceptional! - First Course: Two first courses, both top marks. Maltagliati with wild boar ragù and tortelli with porcini mushroom sauce. - Second Course: A perfectly cooked venison stew, accompanied by delicious fried polenta. - Dessert: An excellent way to end the dinner. In short: the food is excellent, the portions are generous, and the price is more than fair for everything you get. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!
