17/06/2025: We love to stop at this fabulous restaurant for lunch. The typical tuscan food is amazing! Simple recipes executed to perfection. They also serve an amazing steak. They are kind, courteous and friendly. A very pleasurable dining experience.

10/06/2025: Decent experience, but with some reservations I had lunch at Ristorante Olivo, right in the center of Lucca, attracted by the central location and the tranquility of the place. The environment is actually pleasant and quiet, ideal for those looking for a break away from the chaos, even if you are in a very busy area. The service was punctual and attentive in its manner, but overall a bit cold. The waiters were correct and helpful, but that warm and personal welcome that makes you feel truly welcome was missing. This detail, as secondary as it may seem, has a great impact on the overall perception of the experience. As for the cuisine, the dishes are well prepared and the food is good. You can perceive a certain attention in the choice of ingredients and in the presentation. However, the quality-price ratio leaves some doubts: the bill was rather high compared to what we actually received, both in terms of quantity and originality of the proposals. Overall, Ristorante Olivo can be a good choice for a quiet lunch in the city center, but there are aspects – such as a warmer atmosphere and a better balance of prices – that could be improved to make the experience truly memorable.

10/06/2025: We weren’t planning to eat here—we were just passing by and the atmosphere pulled us in. It felt like a good risk, and it was. Every single thing we ordered was excellent. We tried different seafood pastas and fish dishes, and everything had depth and balance. The tiramisu was unforgettable—probably the best I’ve had, and I’ve had plenty across Italy. We ended up coming back the same evening for dinner. It was even better. More fish, more pasta, another perfect tiramisu. If we’d had one more day in Lucca, we’d have gone back again without a second thought.

11/06/2025: En general, recomiendo este restaurante a pesar de que no sumó los cinco perfectos. Situado fuera de las murallas de Lucca, es sin duda fuera de los caminos trillados, y probablemente necesite un coche para llegar. El menú fue una muy buena prueba de ser original. La presentación fue puntual y el sabor fue muy bueno en general. Lo recomiendo como un buen descanso de la comida típica italiana. Aunque no estoy seguro de si vale la pena.

01/07/2025: Bagno Buonamici is now a guarantee. When I want to have lunch at the beach, it is always one of the first places that comes to mind. You can eat directly on the beach or on their veranda, both very pleasant and well-kept options. The food is good, with simple but tasty dishes, and the quality-price ratio is really excellent. Highly recommended for those looking for a relaxing lunch

Let's start with the order: You can't order more than 3 different first courses per table. 1 If I come to a restaurant and eat what I want, otherwise I'll stay home 2 Next time we'll split the table, like shopping at the supermarket 3 So don't put 10 meat first courses and 10 fish first courses if you then put limitations 4 If I eat what you want, I'll pay as I say. 5 If you're not up to it, make a fixed menu. Let's move on to the food. Bavette with clams inedible. Very spicy and full of broken shells between the pasta. Frozen French fries (not a problem) but bring them to the table cooked and not raw. They justified themselves by saying, sorry, we have 2 less people in the kitchen. (So I won't pay you because my bank is closed on Sunday?) Cooking the meat? 2 Fillets... Medium rare, one burned... And 1 was bleeding, had a hemorrhage. 1 grilled fillet Not put in the order and so the diner ate alone because everyone had finished. The wrong side dishes, and one (the one for the grilled fillet) did not arrive. To conclude, a straw chair with a nail tip sticking out that tore my pants. Never again and never. I feel sorry for the waitresses. He was at the mercy of the kitchen. 1 star because less, it's not possible!!!

04/05/2025: We found this farm by chance and it was a very pleasant surprise. The food was delicious, even vegan and prepared with attention to detail. The place is wonderful, it enjoys a view of the splendid valley and is well organised. The staff was welcoming, punctual and kind. Direct sale of their products and animals. If I were close, I would go there often!

25/06/2025: the experience was surprisingly positive. As the name suggests, you expect a simple, informal environment with affordable prices. And so it was: We ate a lot, spending very little, but the real surprise was the quality: definitely above expectations for a place of this type. The service was calm, easy-going and friendly, perfectly in line with the style of the place. You don't expect formality, but rather hospitality and simplicity, and in this Bar Stadio fully hits the target. The environment is consistent with the name: essential, informal, no frills, but authentic. A place that knows exactly what it wants to offer — and does it well.

06/06/2025: Found by chance reading the reviews on Google, we went to this restaurant one evening in a group of seven people. The place is very welcoming, furnished with various objects and posters of various films, typically tavern with wicker chairs. The waiter was very helpful, he accommodated our requests by letting us taste many dishes and courses, since we couldn't decide. Very good appetizers, exceptional first courses, especially the seafood carbonara, it was all really very good, excellent quality and excellent preparation. In the end we were all speechless, when he presented us the bill, we thought he had made a mistake, really excellent quality/price ratio! Thank you very much for the beautiful evening, keep it up!

21/06/2025: Very lovely owners and staff. The pizza is delicious, wine selection is great and the seafood is nice and fresh.

13/06/2025: The food is decent, the first courses and fried fish are good. The pizza is not the best in my opinion, but it is still good. Prices are slightly below average. A first course and two second courses + bottle of wine + sweet and amaro = 55 euros.

25/05/2025: I had lunch here every day during my stay in a nearby hotel. Delicious focaccinas and desserts - the chocolate and pear tart is to die for. I wish I had more time in Lido di Camaiore to try more items from the menu. Would highly recommend!

22/06/2025: In the summer of 2025, we stayed at Antica Casa Basari in Borgo Ticino and had lunch one day while touring around Lake Maggiore. It was a local restaurant recommended by Michele, the owner of Casa Basari, and the food was good and the atmosphere was good. It was lunchtime, so there were quite a few people, but the friendly staff served us quickly, so we had a light lunch. I had seabass and my wife had dumplings. We had a healthy, delicious pre-meal bread.

09/06/2025: The restaurant impresses with its stylish and cozy ambiance – you immediately feel like you're in a real Italian restaurant. The excellent selection of alcoholic beverages, including expert advice, was particularly impressive. The truffle pasta was aromatic, well-seasoned, and with a generous amount of truffle. The crowning glory was the strawberry panna cotta – creamy and fresh. The service was always polite, but seemed a bit overwhelmed despite the relatively small number of guests. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant that I would definitely recommend to friends – especially because of the authentic atmosphere and the excellent cuisine.

22/06/2025: When I manage to take a few days off, one of the main stops is Gigi and Beatrice's Forchetta... everything is truly special. Excellent food of great quality, cooked by great chefs... helpful and friendly staff, what can I say.... The TOP of the TOP.. SUPER RECOMMENDED 💖
