24/02/2026: We were passing through Lucca and had lunch at this restaurant. The food was 🔝 all very good and plentiful (in fact, we brought lunch for the next day). Service was fairly quick as there were a lot of people. However, the place needs a complete overhaul.

23/02/2026: We had a wonderful time, ordering an appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, dessert, and drinks, and we spent very little for the quality and quantity of food. Add to that the owner is simply delightful, exuding passion and love for his work. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

07/03/2026: Bar-pizzeria outside Pietrasanta. Plenty of free parking outside. Well-kept restaurant with several tables. Good selection of pizzas. Good dough. Small selection of desserts. Friendly staff. Average prices.

25/08/2025: We stopped in Torre del Lago Puccini with our caravan and arrived at this place in the evening. We were warmly welcomed, and the playground was huge for a restaurant. Surrounded by greenery, it was truly beautiful. I had a delicious pizza, and the kids had a kids' menu. The price was super fair.

17/03/2026: Good traditional restaurant. Loved the decor, like stepping into a 1915 inn. Open at lunch! Which I love :) Not too many items on the menu, but vegetarian options are present. My party had lamb, carpaccio, tortellini, bietola and chickpeas, all quite nice. Carpaccio was best, good quality. Prices are a bit on the high side. All in all, nice ambiance and attentive service (a careful young waitress was attending on us, but I must also say that the restaurant was almost empy, maybe because it was a tuesday at lunch).

04/03/2026: Yesterday I had lunch with friends at Tambellini, we had a great time, the food was delicious, as was the service, the staff and even the atmosphere, which was very well looked after down to the smallest details, you have to try it because it's worth it.

18/10/2025: I returned to Simaba's after years. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a little place worth remembering: intimate, tastefully decorated, with a good selection of wines and gins. The platter filled with appetizers accompanied our drinks was unexpected. We'll definitely be back!

15/12/2025: The Campocatino Oasis refuge restaurant is one of those places where you immediately feel at ease. Welcoming, authentic. My sister and I had a truly wonderful time, both with the food and the atmosphere. I ordered the pappardelle with wild boar, and it was simply exquisite: homemade pasta with chestnut flour, tender wild boar, flavorful yet light. Nothing overdone, no greasy dishes or heavy sauces that stick in your stomach. A rare balance, and for that, even more appreciable. A truly exceptional dish. My sister chose a rare tagliata, tender and delicious. The real added value are the owners: friendly, attentive, and attentive. They stop by frequently to check if everything is okay, carefully explain the trail to the San Viviano Hermitage, and make you feel looked after without being intrusive. On our way back from the walk, we stopped again, and they were very open to chatting, sharing anecdotes about the place and the area while I enjoyed a slice of their cake. We felt welcomed, at home. A genuine place, where you eat well and feel at home. I really can't wait to return.

09/02/2026: The quality of the menu is inconsistent. The sea bass, for example, was very good, perfectly cooked, while the cutlet was very dark; the oil clearly hadn't been changed in a while. I think the side dishes were expensive, especially considering the small portions. Along with the sea bass (which was only half a piece), the order included a portion of mixed vegetables that cost €7, which probably included a medium-sized pepper and half an eggplant. For €7, in short... The service is quite fast.

31/01/2026: There's no point in going over the merits and (?) defects(?), you'll meet someone at Peschino, Peschino is Lucca's history, Peschino is Peschino!!!

07/01/2026: A small restaurant/wine bar in the historic center of Pietrasanta, with limited indoor seating and a few seats outside. The decor is elegant, vintage, and very personalized. The service is attentive and informal. The wine cellar is extensive and excellent, and the cuisine is exquisite, using quality ingredients. The quality/price ratio is medium-high. Reservations are recommended, and pets are welcome outside as space inside is very limited.
