06/04/2026: It's a shame you can't give it 0 stars. We stopped by before 1:00 to ask if we could reserve a table and they told us they were fully booked and couldn't take reservations. They suggested we take a walk and then come back so they could give us a table. They have tables outside (some free and some already taken), but also two inside rooms that were completely empty. We took a walk and returned at 1:00 to ask for a table. He reiterated that they were fully booked and I asked if he could kindly seat us in the inside room since it was completely empty. I also specified that we were getting pizza and therefore it would be quick without occupying the tables for too long. He told me that the inside rooms were used as a BAR and he couldn't seat us. At 1:00 PM on Easter Monday, how many people go to the bar? Everyone goes for lunch... so he could easily have people have lunch in the empty room used as a "bar." By the way, Google said it was closed on Easter Monday but in reality it was open. Thank you for your rudeness, you understood everything about catering and how to treat customers 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

16/02/2026: Pleasant and tasty lunch, prepared by friendly and smiling staff, with short wait times. Wall outlets for cell phone chargers and even USB ports are available. It's a shame the bathroom is out of order due to the incivility of this place. Highly recommended.

10/05/2026: Sunday lunch with a reservation. I'd been there years before and remembered the fish dishes being better quality. The appetizer was inedible tuna, and the tagliatelle verdi were good, but the sauce was too runny. The atmosphere was quiet, and the service was adequate. Prices were average for fish dishes in Viareggio.

12/04/2026: We're not there... A completely unjustified €4 service charge. An off-menu second course (skewer with a piece of chicken, a small piece of pork, and two slices of burnt bread) was charged €30 per plate, and a slice of cake barely over 2 cm wide, served on a normal plate, making it look even more dismal. Despite the 50% discount from The Fork, I spent €84 for a first course, two second courses, two desserts, and a bottle of Trentino Pinot Noir, which later turns out to be bottled in Lucca.

12/04/2026: Exceptional. It's very difficult to find trattorias where you can feel so good, especially for the kindness of the staff, as well as the good food! You must try their traditional dishes and their limoncino!

18/10/2025: I returned to Simaba's after years. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a little place worth remembering: intimate, tastefully decorated, with a good selection of wines and gins. The platter filled with appetizers accompanied our drinks was unexpected. We'll definitely be back!

Set menu with a mixed appetizer, two first courses including tordelli alla lucchese, porcini mushroom risotto, and sliced ​​beef with potatoes, all delicious!!! The staff were attentive and friendly, and the place... what can I say... Amazing!!! Highly recommended!!

20/01/2026: I go there regularly when I go to pick up fish at the Volpi fishmonger's early in the morning. Very early in the morning, I meet an older man (I think the owner), who's very friendly and nice. The Valdostana is delicious, and here you can also find the real old Spuma Bionda.

08/04/2026: Great location and lovely atmosphere, excellent appetizers, pasta, fish, and meat – everything was superb! The service was charming and attentive. The house amaro, cookies, jams, and honey make lovely souvenirs. Plus, it was a comparatively inexpensive experience.

25/08/2025: We stopped in Torre del Lago Puccini with our caravan and arrived at this place in the evening. We were warmly welcomed, and the playground was huge for a restaurant. Surrounded by greenery, it was truly beautiful. I had a delicious pizza, and the kids had a kids' menu. The price was super fair.
