06/10/2025: We had 2 drinks mid afternoon, they were very nice, but no table cover, no napkins, no aperitivo snacks and we were charged a 6€ cover. First time anywhere in Lucca with a cover charge for having a drink, And first time having nothing else provided.

14/09/2025: Honestly, I'm still looking for burrata on our pasta. After a question, "Where's the burrata?" The server brings us burrata in a tube, we're dreaming... And I'm not talking about cherry tomatoes, etc., etc.

28/09/2025: Restaurant in a beautiful square in Lucca, beautiful location and excellent hospitality, simple but essential table setting. We opted for the Classic menu: liver pâté with brioche bread, parmesan risotto with Chianti reduction, veal cheek with mashed potatoes, and finally an excellent dessert. Everything was excellent, all accompanied by a bottle of champagne, good value for money. I recommend it.

25/09/2025: Very friendly, cheerful staff. Fast service. It's a wonderful place to linger and enjoy the hustle and bustle. Many of the guests are locals—which I really liked. Time passes very quickly.

Hemos estado en Lucca muchas veces y esto es justo ahí arriba con o si no la mejor comida que hemos comido , sorprendidos de ver solo un par de mesas tomadas en este jueves lluvioso . 29/04/2025: In una via tranquilla ad un passo dalla affollatissima piazza dell'anfiteatro offre alcuni piatti originali di carne e pesce. Porzioni non abbondanti ma prodotti freschi e gustosi. Buoni i vini. Eccellente il servizio. Prezzo adeguato considerando la location.

21/10/2025: We booked the Tosca room, a beautiful room with a terrace. Upon arrival, they provided us with a bottle of prosecco and a small cutter for an aperitif. The minibar stocked with sparkling water, still water, a Fanta, and two juices, all in glass bottles. There was also a coffee machine, with pods and various jams along with toast. A very appreciated feature were the disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste! You can choose to have breakfast in your room or downstairs at the table. We chose downstairs, and for a sweet breakfast they brought us a croissant, a slice of cake, and a tartlet, while for a savory breakfast there was a slice of Valdostana, a flaky pizza, and a filled focaccia. The only flaw is they don't have lactose-free milk. The rooms are spotless and the service is excellent. The tub takes a good half hour to fill. We'll definitely return to explore new rooms. Oh, and checkout is at 12:00!!! The only ones!

14/10/2025: The restaurant was highly recommended to us, but unfortunately, the evening left us somewhat perplexed. Overall, one could describe it as "uninspiring." There were only four tables occupied, yet we received neither particularly friendly nor attentive service. Our request for drinks came very late, and only once. The steak tartare is prepared at the table for show, but unfortunately, it's first minced in the kitchen, and the tendons aren't removed. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms tasted very uninspiring. The tiramisu was okay.

04/10/2025: We’ve dined here twice, and both times the food, service and atmosphere were all very good. It’s a cosy, hospitable room and service was attentive and helpful, especially with things like the wine list although with hindsight I would love to have been asked how I wanted my beef cooked. Both beef dishes I had were fantastic - both in flavour and cooking. Truffles were generous and wines were excellent at the price point. Highly recommended.

05/11/2025: I'll start by saying that this review refers to a lunch during the Lucca Comics and Games, so there are all the mitigating factors involved. We ate pizza at an inside table. The place is nice and clean, and the pizza was good. That's why I'm giving it three stars, whereas the service would be zero. I won't dwell on the inattention and the timing (both of which were present) because I understand the nature of the day. However, if there's no silverware on the table and pizzas are brought that are already cut, but not very well, it's intolerable that when we asked for silverware for everyone, the waitress, in a huff, only brought a pair that we had to share, and handed them to us as if asking had been a bother. I'll start by saying that the silverware was taken from a full basket, so it's not due to a lack of clean dishes, but rather, in my opinion, a lack of desire to deliver things that will later have to be cleaned.

03/11/2025: More than a review, I'd describe it as a survival guide, and I'll start by saying that if you want to have a nice evening after a long, tiring day, it's best to go elsewhere before losing patience and other worries. It started badly because we were a small group of six when we arrived. Despite having made a reservation, we were told we still had to queue and wait to be seated, so what's the point of booking exactly? Perhaps they're trying to squeeze in more people than they can handle just to make a profit. After all, once someone has booked, where else can they go? They're forced to stay with you. The place was huge inside, so there was absolutely no need to make a few extra bucks at the expense of some unfortunate person. You could have paid the checkout anyway. We arrived an hour later than booked. The seats outside didn't even have heating (with the amount our group spent, I assure you, you can afford an electric patio heater), and some didn't even have light. We read the menu with our phone's flashlight. When we ordered, we were told that pizzas would take 40 minutes or more, so it would be better to order something from the kitchen. Well, guess what? The table next to us, who arrived several minutes later, also ordered pizzas, and they arrived before our dishes. At least I had ordered fries (frozen, as per the menu), which arrived after 30 minutes. A friend, again for appetizers, had chicken nuggets, which arrived 15 minutes after the fries (served without sauce, by the way). I'd be embarrassed to serve them; McDonald's Nuggets are better for the price. Another funny thing was that the waiters (obviously not their fault, poor things; in fact, they were kind and helpful) kept asking us as we passed by if we had ordered that dish, because obviously they're always adding tables outside the valley to figure out the numbers, poor things. An hour later than ordered, my pasta arrived, but it was still there, and it was the only pasta available. It didn't need all this attention, at least the sauce was good. After about 10 minutes, my friends' dishes began to arrive (obviously, they didn't arrive together, there's no such luxury here). By the time the last friend's dish arrived, the others had already finished. In short, as you can see from this review, there's a lot of care and attention given to the customer. So, decide carefully where to spend your money. I'm giving one star for the beautiful view of the church. A plus for the staff, who clearly have a good understanding of where they work.
